Had the most amazing experience with Ballooning in Florence - Mongolfiera yesterday over Chianti. The initial booking was meant to be over Florence, however the location was changed due to wind conditions, this did not affect this lifelong memory and experience as the Chianti countryside was absolutely breathtaking!!! Ivan the owner/operator and Captain of the balloon was absolutely wonderful, the skill and precision of how he navigated the balloon was awe inspiring and a joy to watch. His welcoming and cordial demeanor even managed to calm my fiancé who was slightly intrepid. I cannot recommend Ivan and Ballooning in Florence highly enough!!!!
We had the most incredible time with Ivan and his team. They are professional and skilled. I called him the night before as a last minute idea while staying in Florence to surprise my husband. Ivan answered the phone right away and worked out details for the next morning sunrise balloon flight. He even took care of the transportation to and from the hotel. All we had to do was be picked up and he took care of the rest. We arrived and they were already working on the balloon. We hopped in and away we went over the Tuscany landscape. Everything was quiet, peaceful, special with breathtaking views. Watching the sun come up over the hills was gorgeous. Floating over churches and homes while people waved to us and shouted “bonjourno” was a special moment. It was all so picturesque and quaint. It’s a time we will never forget and the perfect activity while in Florence. There are so many wonderful activities to do and you will definitely want to add this to the list of top items. One of the best parts since we weren’t staying more than a couple of days; is this fits into the itinerary well. We were back into town after being served a beautiful breakfast spread at the end in a Tuscany garden by 9am. Just in time to grab our tickets for the museum. It was a perfect morning. The idea of being high in the sky in a ballon was a bit unnerving but our pilot was absolutely fantastic putting us at ease. The experience was both adventurous and serene, highly recommend!
Fantastic hot air balloon experience! We left early in the morning, in October, in quite a bit of cold, but it was absolutely worth it. From above, we admired the Chianti region, Florence, and some of its landmarks, such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Dome, from a completely different perspective. The hot air balloon does not climb to dizzying heights and moves slowly: this is precisely what allows you to enjoy the view calmly and observe the landscape in a truly special way. The landing was also a fun and unexpected moment: we did not expect the basket to tilt so much once it touched the ground! 😄 A beautiful, exciting experience that is definitely worth trying at least once in your life. Accompanied by Ivan, my wife, daughter and I flew in a hot air balloon over the Chianti hills, a magical landscape already “from the ground”, but that “from the sky” is unparalleled. We flew over the Dolomites with Ivan Vastano, an Italian balloon expert based in Tuscany, in the Chianti region. It was the birthday present for our son Marco. It was one of the best experiences of our lives. Ivan's involvement in the flight day was total. We assembled and put back all the material. Our son has been involved in this, as has our entire family. We flew over alpine scenery always feeling safe, with the use of instruments on the quality of the winds and the satellite positions of our travel. The air navigation was long and never boring. A drone has always followed us, recorded and monitored, guided from the ground by collaborator Matteo Crivello. Commander Ivan was exceptional: his professionalism, combined with sympathy and passion for flying, allowed us to live this adventure with serenity and joy. Taking off as the sun begins to illuminate the city of Florence and the rolling hills of Chianti is something indescribable. From the top, the vineyards, olive groves and small Tuscan villages unfold like a living picture, offering breathtaking views. We also passed over another hot air balloon. The flight was incredibly relaxing, a real break from the daily grind, while the landing was smooth and impeccable, thanks to the great experience of the commander. I recommend this adventure to anyone who wants to discover Florence and Chianti from a new and enchanting perspective.

What a beautiful day! We enjoyed it to the fullest. The communication in advance, on the day itself and afterwards went very well. The crew was incredibly friendly. Not to mention the fantastic experience, the beautiful view over the Tuscan landscape and especially the city of Siena,...
