Half-day Pisa Trip From Florence With Optional Tower Entry

It’s the Leaning Tower of Pisa. To get a rare glimpse of this and learn its history as well as the other facilities attached to it is a wonderful experience. We had a very small group which I loved. Kayko was our guide and she did a very good job teaching us the history. She was funny and personable. Our only hiccup was although she graciously held onto the baggage check-in ticket for someone who had a back pack (I don’t know why) because Karen wanted to climb the Tower stairs and back packs are not allowed, when it was time to go the lady Karen did not have her ticket and could not get her belongings and the guide was not immediately around to assist (this was during our free time to explore). We all were horrified and scared for Karen. I know I sent messages to the guide’s company through the WhatsApp for someone to contact the guide and advise her of the situation . Good news is that Karen did get her ticket from the guide. Another tourist husband waited until Karen got her belongings and then they rejoined the group and we all returned back to our meeting spot together and left at precisely 5:30 pm.

The time spent in Pisa at the monuments was lovely. The guide was less so. I believe his name was Marcello and the driver was Rudolph. They made ZERO connections with the travelers. Their only goal was to keep to a schedule. Also there was no mention of a 10 minute walk into the monument area. I should say it was practically a run! The guide did not care that some of us were a bit on the older side and he just continued his brisk pace. If this was my first Viator excursion it would be my last but fortunately every other Viator experience has been fabulous.

Great experience . Entire trip was nice , guide stella and her colleague fredirico both were vwry polite . stella explained everything during the trip with great clarity. We enjoyed climbing up the tower and the view from the tower top.

I joined with my Mother who is 78 years old and I informed my worry that her speed of walking is slower than others to Steela. She was so kind to us and took care my Mom and we enjoyed this trip. Thank you Steela. ARIGATO GOZAIMASU

Mossimo did a good job driving on the way to Pisa but there was an accident on the way back to Florence resulting in a delay. Mossimo was breaking and speeding up causing a lot of jerking for nearly 90 minutes. Keiko spoke very broken English and should not be listed as an English speaking guide. She was difficult to understand. We stopped for an “emergency “ bathroom break about 15 minutes from Pisa but it should have been phrased a courtesy stop before arriving in Pisa where you had to pay for the restroom. Again, a language barrier with Keiko. We enjoyed our time in Pisa and would go again but not with this company.

The bus ride was an extra hour longer than mentioned. The place is not really worth seeing. Do it on your own time if you really want but there’s so many better places to visit.

Really straightforward pick up and transfer to Pisa from Florence. Well organised throughout. Local guide was brilliant, gave loads of information and interacted with the group. Clear instructions and Stella was really good with the children. Would recommend.

Loved the Tower of Pisa experience. Or tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We even made it all the way to the top of the tower!

Sam was a great guide and gave us great perspective on things to do in Pisa - made sure everyone enjoyed themselves but were also at the meet up spots when we needed to be. Ferdinand was a great driver - everything was smooth which is exactly what you want on a trip like this Would definitely recommend

Aaron was a great guide and friendly. Made our experience fun during the bus ride with Rodolfo our Driver. The Bus ride was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended for a beautiful half day tour!

Aaron and Rodolfo were amazing! Aaron was fantastic! It was Easy to get to the meetup spot in Florence and Rodolfo did a great job at transporting us from Florence to Pisa and back. Aaron was so great at keeping a large group organizing and allowing us to enjoy the tour while also getting some free time! Highly would recommend booking this on a day off in Florence it’s definitely worth it!

We had a fun day in Pisa with a lot of great information about all we saw from Ricardo, and a trustworthy guide throughout the day by Keiko who made sure everyone was with the group and who kort is all informed about How the day would proceed. Furthermore, she was a lot of fun on the long drive to Pisa.

By not giving us each a ticket you forced us to pay for the bathroom. You should fix that!
