Had a wonderful day in the Tuscan countryside with Ned. He was reliable and a safe driver and very accommodating to our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area.

Itinerary
The day begins with departure from Rome at 6:45am with a 1.5-hour journey by high-speed train to Florence.
Once in Florence, proceed directly to the meeting point, a 25-minute walk from the train station. Meet your guide and embark on your Tuscany adventure by departing from Florence at 8:45 AM on a 1-hour minivan ride to your first stop.
the first stop will be Monteriggioni, the most well preserved medieval village in Tuscany. This fortress city is also where “The Gladiator” was filmed, and is one of the locations for “Assassin’s Creed”. Along the journey get ready to immerse yourself in the Italian vibes and learn from your tour leader interesting facts about Tuscany & its famous cuisine.
your second stop, the dreamy town of Siena. During the orientation walk you will discover its unique architecture passing by the numerous artisan shops and finally stop at one of the most remarkable Piazzas of Italy, Piazza del Campo, site of the famous Palio race every July and August. Get some downtime to relax and explore the city at your leisure; do not miss a visit of the impressive Cathedral.
Your next destination is San Gimignano. On the way to the village, the guide will provide each traveller with tips for the best places in town. Take a stroll through the cobblestone pathways, piazzas and palaces of this other UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the ‘Manhattan of Tuscany’ and explore this magical and timeless town in complete freedom.
The tour will definitely pass through the Chianti Region, the heaven of Tuscan wine. A local winery will be visited and you will have a chance to merge with the Tuscan goodness: 7 different wines, extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegar will make your taste buds happy together with an amazing traditional Tuscan meal.
At the end of a truly unforgettable day, head back to Rome, arriving at approximately 8 PM.

Wonderful tour and wine tasting with lunch! Ned was a fantastic tour guide knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us all the picturesque places to take photos. Highly recommend this tour!
Ned was great! He is very punctual and descriptive! We had a spectacular lunch with wine!
Our guide Valentina was so knowledgeable about the area and history. She shared great stories and made the entire day enjoyable and fun. She made sure we knew all the best spots at each stop from gelato recommendations to places to snap the best pics. We chose this tour for the small group size and it turned out to just be our family which made it even more special and intimate. This tour definitely delivers on value - you visit three walled cities and experience a wonderful wine tasting and authentic Italian lunch in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this tour.
The wine tasting trip was great my wife and I both enjoyed visiting Sorrento and our tour guide Valentina. Thank you for the experience
Lorenzo was a great guide. Saw so much of Tuscany region! Tenuta Torciano winery was spectacular!! Sienna also a must visit!
Fantastic tour Guide/Driver Great itinerary Fabulous food at Winery Wine tasting was average - less education and food pairing of wines than expected
Excellent experience. Our tour guide valentina was lovely. She was very sweet and considerate. It was amazing experience.
We had a great day with Antonello! We had originally booked a different tour that couldn’t go ahead, so we ended up on a different tour which ended up being amazing. San Gimignano was our favourite stop, such a beautiful village! And the wine tasting at Torciano was one of the best we’ve had. The customer service before, after and during was also great so I wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with this company.
From start to finish the entire experience was the most expensive nightmare of my life. The tour we booked was cancelled and we were offered a cheaper tour that went to less locations and was much cheaper. It was advertised as a little over $100 less per person and we were told we’d be refunded the difference, but for two tickets we were only refunded $5. Then tour day the train that was booked for us had delays, which resulted in the tour leaving without us and my husband and I spending 5+ hours on trains trying to catch up to the group which was the suggestion of the tour company. We finally joined them at the end and got to listen to how much fun the group had, and the group all paying a fraction of what we were charged. I spent the 1.5 hour van drive back to the ending point then the 1.5 hour train journey back in tears after what should have been a relaxing romantic day turned into one of the worst days of my life. I am never booking with Viator, or Italy on a budget tours again.
Action pack day well thought out and well plan trip. Train was on time out of Rome. Meeting spot was well described beautiful scenery great guide.
What an action pack day. Got the train in Rome as planned train was on time. Sent us a very detailed message of meeting spot in Florence scenery was beautiful a bit rush at East destination but I guess that is how we got to see you so much in oneday . Our guide Ned very personable, knowledgeable
Great day out & our host was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Definitely made us think about returning to the area to explore some more.
We took the Tuscany Day Tour with our high school group--it's a tour we've taken for years with Italy On A Budget and it's always a great experience! Beautiful cities, fantastic food at the organic farm and a great staff that are easy to work with and pay attention to detail! Wonderful day and lots of beautiful memories! You can't go wrong trusting your travel dreams to this company!
We enjoyed personal attention and being able to visit beautiful places in Tuscany with our small group . Tour guide was very friendly and lunch with wine tasting was delicious!
This was such an amazing experience! Elisabetha was our small-group tour guide and she was such a bundle of positivity and joy. She made the entire day fun, taught us so much about each city we visited, and ensured we were comfortable (both while in transit and comfortable enough to ask her any and all questions). If I had more time in Italy, I’d do as many tours as possible with Elisabetha. And in general, Italy on a Budget tours provided such a great itinerary for a great price. Will be booking with them when I’m back in the country! Thank you so so much! Oh, and the winery was so incredible. Left me speechless.
