Our first impression at the meeting place was chaotic! Three tours meeting there with no coordination. Our tour guide was late. Our tour started at 8am and we went directly to San Gimignano and we arrived at 9am. Although we were the first bus tour to arrive - most of the shops did not open until after we were leaving at 9:45. Then off to the 2 wineries. 10 am is a bit early to start drinking! The tours and wines were too similar. Although the 2 vineyards were different, we are not sure why we went to both of these places. Lastly, our tour guide did not seem interested in sharing much about the region. He served in the role of escort rather than tour guide. We do not recommend this tour.

This was a blast! Our host Leonardo, was fun and competent. The wine tasting hosts were excellent, and the town was gorgeous. My only regret is not booking a longer experience.
We enjoyed it. Disappointed that both wineries served the exact same plate of food. Food was delicious but they were identical. Also would recommend no Taxi. Train was easy as first time riders.
Once we got going it was great but the getting there was tough. Our guide sent great pictures and explanations about it how to return but it would have been nice to have a similar explanation to find the start location. Also they were no instructions on who to look for once getting to the start location. There were multiple tours going on. We had to randomly ask a person to find our tour. The two wineries were great experiences and San Gimingiano was beautiful Guide was good and helpful
If given the opportunity to do this half day tour you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful scenery and Emma the guide that was extremely informative and Luciano drove very professionally. Wineries were well set up and very welcoming and informative.
The initial meeting place is NOT in Florence. It is 1/2 hour outside of Florence which cost a 45 euro cab ride.
This experience was the highlight of our stay in Florence. We didn't expect sit-down tastings at both wineries with aperitivo style plates. Not only was fun but a learning experience! Tuscany views are incredible and St Gimignano is a quaint, beautiful and charming village.
A day to treasure in the heart of Chianti. We didn’t know quite what to expect, but this tour truly exceeded our expectations. Monteriggioni felt like stepping back in time, peaceful and so picturesque in the early morning. The wineries were welcoming and felt like home. The food and wine were outstanding, especially the brunch with that incredible view. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and discovery, a day we’ll always remember.
Honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect, but this tour blew us away. Starting the morning with breakfast inside a medieval village felt like a storybook come to life. Monteriggioni was so peaceful and beautiful, a perfect little escape. The wineries felt real and unpretentious, and the wine tastings were relaxed and fun, not stuffy at all. The brunch was incredible, fresh cheeses, cold cuts, and amazing wine. We left happy, full, and already dreaming about our next trip back!
This tour was a genuine journey through the Tuscan countryside. Monteriggioni was a beautiful surprise, quiet, peaceful, and full of charm in the morning light. The wineries gave us a real sense of place, and the food was honestly some of the best we've had. The brunch at the last winery felt like a postcard, stunning views and delicious dishes. I'd gladly do this tour again!
Beautiful scenery. I found it a shame not to see a wine cellar, however. At both locations, we did a tasting of 4 glasses and then we had about 10 minutes to take photos. I would have liked to walk in the vineyard and have the process explained to me a little. The medieval village is beautiful. We had about 30 minutes of free time on site. Italy Tour sent us a message to tell us that since there were only 2 people who wanted to visit in French, it would not be possible because the minimum is 4. During the visit, we talked with another French couple, however. Satisfied despite everything since it was our 1st time, but I would not do it again.
The vineyard owners were real gems! We enjoyed our time at their place. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a guided tour was not one. On one hand, we couldn't hear well on the bus, so it was very difficult to follow any explanation. Then, we didn't visit anything on-site, not even the cellars mentioned in the description. It was a direct entry into the reception halls. Without the passion and the warm welcome, the experience would have been a failure. Thanks to them! It should be noted that the city tour is more or less 1 hour, which is very little even for an activity that was supposed to last 5 hours in total. Perhaps doing only one vineyard would have been enough to have a little more time to discover the city.
Very convivial moment during the tastings at the two vineyards, where we were very well received with local food and explanations from the owners. Very quick stop in San Gimignano in less than an hour allows just enough time to take some superb photos and leave again. Normal, however, for a half-day activity. Superb Tuscan landscapes. The guide's explanations were clear. Worth it, good experience-to-price ratio.
The tour is very well organized and includes visits to two beautiful wineries (where we tasted excellent wines) and a stop in Monteriggioni, a medieval village of rare beauty. But the real added value was Leonardo, our guide: very nice, engaging, and knowledgeable. He manages to make everyone feel at ease, creates a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, and never leaves any question unanswered. I highly recommend this experience!!!
