We had a wonderful time with Vanessa! All the food was excellent and we learned a lot! We returned to our gelato stop again a couple of days later because it was so good!

Itinerary
We will walk past the imposing Basilica of Santa Croce, admiring its magnificent marble façade and the vast square in front of it. Here, we’ll delve into the history of this iconic site and share stories about Calcio Storico Fiorentino, the city’s centuries-old and adrenaline-filled traditional game, which takes place right in this square. Along the way, we’ll also have the chance to see one of Florence’s famous buchette del vino, the small historic wine windows once used to serve wine directly to passersby. A stop here is optional, but it’s a unique opportunity to experience a fascinating piece of Florentine history.
Welcome to Via dei Neri, the undisputed street food paradise of Florence and home to the world-famous All’Antico Vinaio. This lively and flavorful street is a must-visit for food lovers, where the aromas of freshly prepared specialties fill the air. Here, we’ll make our first delicious stop, indulging in some of Florence’s most traditional bites. Get ready to taste authentic local delicacies, including the legendary lampredotto, a true symbol of Florentine street food. An explosion of flavors that will introduce you to the city’s rich culinary heritage in the most delicious way!
This square is an open-air museum, home to breathtaking masterpieces such as the statues of the Loggia dei Lanzi, the majestic Fountain of Neptune, and Michelangelo’s David (the replica). Just a few steps from this historic setting, we might step into a carefully selected local shop, offering the finest regional products and excellent wines. Our stops may vary depending on the day, time, and the availability of each venue, but rest assured—every place we visit has been chosen for its authenticity and top-quality local specialties.
The Porcellino Fountain is one of Florence’s most beloved symbols, steeped in tradition and charm. Legend has it that rubbing its shiny bronze snout and tossing a coin into the grate below will bring you good luck—and guarantee your return to Florence! A small ritual, but one you simply can’t miss on your visit to the city. Will you put fate to the test?
Next, we’ll cross the iconic Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s most famous and historic bridge, lined with its charming goldsmith shops. As we walk across, we’ll take in stunning views of the Arno River, a perfect spot to capture unforgettable photos of the city’s timeless beauty. Get your cameras ready—this is one of Florence’s most picture-perfect moments!
Crossing the river, we step into the Oltrarno, Florence’s most authentic and artistic district, where tradition and craftsmanship thrive. This vibrant neighborhood is known for its artisan workshops, charming piazzas, and a more local, laid-back atmosphere. And what better way to enjoy it than with a taste of true Florentine gelato? We’ll stop at one of the city’s top gelaterias, where master gelato makers transform high-quality local ingredients into pure delight. Creamy, refreshing, and full of flavor—this is gelato as it was meant to be!
As a special extra stop, we’ll dive into one of Tuscany’s greatest treasures: extra virgin olive oil. More than just a condiment, this liquid gold is a fundamental pillar of Tuscan cuisine, renowned for its rich flavor, incredible aroma, and outstanding quality. We’ll visit a carefully selected location where you’ll have the chance to taste some of the finest locally-produced extra virgin olive oils, learning how to distinguish their nuances, aromas, and characteristics. This is not just a tasting—it’s an experience that will change the way you look at olive oil forever. A true journey through tradition, flavor, and excellence, this stop will make you appreciate why Tuscan olive oil is celebrated worldwide. Trust us—you won’t look at a bottle of olive oil the same way again!

This is an excellent way to orient yourself to a new city and to meet locals who know all of the best restaurants. Vanessa gave us a wonderful tour which included olive oil tasting, wine tasting and delicious pasta.
Enrico was patient and accommodating. Had good insights as we walked the city to try different wine and or foods.
Vanessa was a great guide, very knowledgeable and enjoyable! The tour hit some high spots of the city as well as olive oil, great lunch, and gelato. “Small group” was very small, as we were the only ones on the tour we got a private event that was great for us traveling with our 11 month old. Great tour and guide.
Vanessa and her husband was very persistent in making sure that I receive the change of meeting point location. We were late 15 min and arrived very stressful. They immediately made us feel welcomed and extremely comfortable at ease. it was just us and although our tardiness created a domino effect to the 3 taste/snack stops they still did not rush us. It was very obvious that they are both loved and respected. Very sweet knowledgeable and patient. So professional we gave them a S100 tip. Not bragging just making sure ALL that visit Florence purchased this tour.
Vanessa was patient, knowledgable, and easy going. She was a pleasure to have as a guide. A true experience that we will always treasure!
Vanessa was an excellent host in our limited time in Florence. Wealth of information on all things Florentine with great food and wine choices! Especially the gelato 😊. Thanks Vanessa!
An enjoyable evening with the delightful Enrico! I was the only one who signed up and Enrico still held the tour. He was friendly and knowledgeable and gave a real local experience. We had an olive oil tasting where I bought some to take home and wine tasting where I did the same. We went to a restaurant for the final course and then down the street for gelato. I requested the food be vegetarian and the activity light on the alcohol and he was able to customize for me. I recommend this tour for a small group and personalized experience.
Antonio Zoppi was lovely. He is well versed in wine and the local food scene. We learned a lot from him. He was very engaged and friendly and answered all of our questions. We would definitely recommend.
Enrico was top notch; good food, wine, olive oil education and samplings. Pace good… highly recommend
Very nice experience,Enrico was very kind and explain us with detail about the rich history of the city. The places that we visited we’re really interesting. Very enjoyable experience that we would love to repeat
Vanessa is a gem! So personable, knowledgeable, and she made me feel like family! Loved our stops especially the olive oil tasting! She made sure I stayed safe on the streets as cars can go by fast! She has a lot of pride for her beautiful city. I loved that she took me to places the locals go and we were away from the busy city center which made it feel very authentic. She even sent me via what’s app some tour and food suggestions for my remaining days here that were so helpful. Thanks Vanessa for a very memorable evening. Don’t hesitate to book this .. it’s a great one!
Our host was outstanding, and the food was very good - nice sampling of many different local and traditional dishes. We stayed away from the heavy tourist areas and got to experience some more local places. Highly recommend!
Excellent food and tour guide. Vanessa was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to insure a truly memorable experience for my sister and I.

We really enjoyed our time with Judy during the tour. She is very bright young woman. She will be successful at all things. The city is beautiful. The food (pasta, bruschetta, meats, cheese, gelato, wine) were all great picks. We are happy customers!
