The guide was a true local! She picked amazing spots to sample. She was smart, funny and we all received a great education on Italian foods and spices.

Lots of yummy, authentic food and walking around. Our gal did a wonderful job explaining the history of Florence and keeping us entertained too. There is so much food to eat and the beautiful town to see; you won’t be disappointed with this tour! Meeting the sweet 97 year old owner of Torna bakery was an authentic highlight too!
Was interesting and was able to taste various foods from Florence. Francesco was engaging, informative and made the tour fun. He also shared where to go to eat and what to look for and what to avoid when choosing places to eat. The food tasting was delicious and was so full by the end. Would highly recommend
Today, 9/13/26, we toured with Paulo around Florence. He is an amazing guide with so much knowledge of the history of Florence and Italy as a whole. We ate great food and had wonderful conversation with our group. We would highly recommend Paulo to our friends.
There were 4 of us n this tour and we were all very disappointed. Firstly - don't be fooled by he 'we visit several places' - it was 6 - several means to me 8 or 9. We only actually sat in one restaurant - all the rest of the 'gourmet delights?' were us standing in the street while the guide went into the restaurants & handed us the samples one by one - so on a hugely hot Florence day that was not what we had hoped for. But he worst part was the food was cheap, dull & tiny portions - stale bread with a bit of tomato paste, a bun, average pasta - nothing at all original & costing the lowest amount they could. At the very end, we got a small cup of gelato - but for £35 we learnt nothing & certainly ate nothing of any interest, - this was food that every restaurant gives you. This also certainly did not take 2.5 hours - I would say more like 1 hour. When the guide ended the tour everyone was surprised that it had been so short. So a complete con and not worth the money at all. I have done street tours in lots of cities that are excellent & take you behind the scenes, show you how things are made, sit you in the restaurants, often get chefs to talk to you & really take time & effort to show off the very vest of that city's food so you taste food that s new & interesting & you really do get your money's worth. The guides are passionate about the food & really want to impart their passion to you. - this tour as completely at the opposite end of the scale - just a quick tour with dull cheap food & you gained nothing whatsoever about Florentine cuisine. Very very disappointed.
A fun and informative food experience. Francesco was an excellent and entertaining guide! Highly recommended!
Great experience and a very knowledgeable guide. This tour was both about the great food of Florence but a lot of historical information and a guide to the city itself. Very helpful. Honestly, more food than we expected, Take this tour and it is basically free vs finding lunch in Florence.
Dila was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer lots of questions. Never felt like she was bored or trying to rush us. Highly recommend!
It was a very nice tour, we had a diverse group and Valeri was so cute...with the hustle and bustle of the streets it could be hard to hear her. Variety of food...cookie/sort of a port wine I would say...not to my liking, next to a yum fry bread with a thin ham and cheese sandwich, very good. Marke next for a Tuscany tasting of oils, vinegar, balsamic, etc. Best was the pasta we had next...then a small sandwich with wine...off to gelato, so good. Overall, we had a lovely time as Valeri told us history along the way. Would say yes to doing this tour.
We loved this tour with Anna! It was a perfect mix of delicious food, high level history, and stories that gave context to the food and culture of Italy. Some tours give too much detail and we get lost/bored, but not this one. We enjoyed Anna’s wit and humor. Everything was delicious, too!
Our tour guide Valeria was excellent!!! Really enjoyed the food and stories she told along the way. The stop at Rivareno Gelato was by itself worth the price of admission all by itself!!! Grazi Mille!!!
We had a wonderful time walking the streets of Florence with Valeria, a native that was born and raised in Florence. This was a fantastic mix of restaurants and street food, markets and history. We had such a wonderful experience and would absolutely do this one again.
Our tour with Marilisa (hoping I spelled that correctly — me scuzi if not!) was nothing short of extraordinary. Her depth of knowledge in both the culture of the food and the city itself was boundless and both my son and I left the tour with a sense of reverence for Florence that would not have germinated without her. Well worth the booking! She also provided great recommendations outside of the tour and we ran into other tour participants exploring her list of hotspots.
Fun tour, great guide and value! Tour guide gave lots of great recs for a fun time at the city. Give it a try!
Our family of 5 ages 11 to 75 all enjoyed this tour! The food was delicious and the information we learned on the tour was fantastic. On our next vacation, we plan to do a tour like this one on our first day in any new city.
Great food tour of Florence. The guide was knowledgeable and we were provided many different samples of food. Great value for the price.
Our guide , Marilisa, was excellent! She had knowledge of the foods and family history at each of our stops! Everything we tried was delicious and she was able to accommodate food allergies within our group.
The food was excellent and ample! E learned a lot about each item and its history in the Italian culture. It was a bit hard to hear sometimes but very much enjoyed Marilisa.
We had a great tour, not just trying the food but also learning about the history of Florence and more.
Excellent tour! Would highly recommend doing this tour if you are visiting Florence! It was a great way to learn about the city, explore where the locals go, and enjoy some delicious food! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The variety of food samples offered was perfect and the serving sizes were very generous. A great experience.
We really enjoyed this food tour. There were 5 stops, and all of them were delicious. We especially enjoyed the Italian bakery, the pasta lunch, and the market, where we tasted truffles, pistachio butter, and aged balsamic vinegar. The authentic gelato at the end finished off this amazing tour!
Anna our guide was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and kept us entertained the whole time. All the food was so delicious too. This is a great way to learn a bit more about Florence while tasting some iconic food.
Guide was great. Loved the gelato! This is reasonably priced for the amount of food. A lot of delicious breads and pasta!
10/10! Host, Dilara was so kind, attentive, and informative. Those who had bad stomachs (me 🫣) or special diet (vegetarian) were accommodated. She was educational and spread out the food and history lessons so you didn’t get too full throughout. Recommend to wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking.
Tasting of typical Floretine foods in non touristy spots. Especially enjoyed the informative tasting experience of Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, truffles, and pistachio cream. The authentic Gelato tasting was a delightful end to this tour. Our guide also gave historic significance of foods and places we walked through. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Aurora was joyful and interesting. We tasted lots of local foods that we wouldn’t think to taste in places we wouldn’t find. There was a good variety of foods and sweets. It is well worth the money, we were satiated and satisfied
We had a great experience. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. I wish it were cooler weather though!
We’ve done quite a few food tours over the years and the tour with Marilisa was just perfect! We weren’t sure what to expect as this tour was so much more affordable than many of the other Florence food tours that we looked at it, but we were not disappointed. We tried locally made foods from traditional vendors and had a great time, learning about he food and Florence history at the same time. We had cantucci (almond biscotti), coccoli (salty, delicious fried dough balls with cheese and ham), olive oil, balsamic vinegar, truffle oils, freshly made pasta (4 types), cold meats and cheeses and gelato (and I’ve probably left something out!). Marilisa took care to ensure we could all hear her explanations, she made sure we had shade (it was a very hot day), she told interesting stories and we loved it! Grazie Marilisa
Catarina was youthful, knowledgeable and fun to take this tour with... she made sure everyone enjoyed it and it was a GREAT value for the money pod. We saw tons of Florence and learned a bunch about the food and specialties. So fun seeing the local market. Would recommend to anyone coming!
