Great market with fantastic fresh produce. We bought olive oil, pasta & truffles for home. Go upstairs, grab a seat and then order freshly cooked Italian food from one (or more) of the many kitchens. Brilliant- don't miss it.

This was a fun whirlwind tasting tour with a great guide (Lorenzo) who showed some great places to us. He also gave us a great tip for a beautiful road trip to take when we ventured out to the Tuscan countryside
Anna was so charming! Her bubbly personality was delightful. She was also very knowledgeable and well able to field questions from a group of varied individuals.. I’m vegetarian and was accommodated well. The food was sometimes delicious always fascinating. Well done!
Marilisa was incredible and exceeded our expectations. It was a great and authentic food experience, and also a good way to get a feel for the area.
Dilara was an exceptional host. She showed us many, many different locations as well as some of her personal favourites. The tastings were excellent and showcased the variety and quality of the local products. She went out of her way to accommodate our varied interests and needs. Dilara was both knowledgeable as well as passionate about Florence.
Martina was an amazing host! We showed us all of her favorite local spots, and she also was eager to share her knowledge of the history of the city. The food we tasted was all wonderful and the whole group had a great time. Martina is passionate about food and Florence!
This tour was 5 stars!!! We had the best tour guide (Aurora) who made the experience so worth it. She was an expert on all things Florence and was so fun and easy to talk to. We only did a day trip to Florence so we wanted to book a tour. She showed us all the best spots in Florence and helped us explore the beautiful city while tasting the staples food and wine. This is a must do when visiting Florence and you must ask for Aurora! You will not be disappointed.
If you guys want to go for an amazing lunch you have to stop here. San Lorenzo market in Florence There are so many different food you will love it
We had the best experience visiting San Lorenzo Food and Wine market in Florence. The biggest variety for shopping fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese and wine together with a restaurant variety to die for! A must see and experience for every traveler visiting. Friendly with festive vibes all round!

This was a superb tour. Martina was a well informed and passionate guide. We enjoyed every minute of the flavours, the stories and the service. Top class tour.

Patrizia our guide did a great job of showing us the city and responding to all of our questions. A very worthwhile experience.

Unkind staff and very smelly market do not recommend this place but you save for really good food
We had a quick lunch with crushed flatbread, lampredotto and tripe!... all sublime! Excellent prices. Definitely a stop to make if you are passing through Florence!
On Thursday, my husband and I went for a "hit and run" in Florence. It was a very pleasant day. The city is always beautiful, and now the shops are even more inviting because they start to be decorated for Christmas. My goal, this time, was to go to the San Lorenzo Market to eat the lampredotto sandwich at Nerbone's and I was delighted both with the famous sandwich that was delicious, and in walking the corridors of this beautiful Covered Market, housed in an Art Nouveau building. Another magnificent surprise was the visit to the "Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella", active since 1221, then for 801 years! It is an incredible place, both for the architecture and for the frescoes, with wonderful furniture and chandeliers, elegant as the personal ilcgentulisso but what makes the senses numb are the scents you breathe inside. Beautiful Florence! See you soon and, keep me warm the lampreduct!
Triumph of smells, colors, tastes. Impossible not to fall in love with this place! On the ground floor there are small grocery shops of all kinds, upstairs, food places of all kinds: fish, meat, sandwiches with lampredotto, beers, pasta, desserts, pizza, exotic cuisine etc. It clears itself like self service. Strict green pass controls. Experience to try and possibly repeat 😉
San Lorenzo Market is the old Florence Market. On the first floor is the market itself, where you can buy fresh things. And in the second put have opened many restaurants of pasta, meat, pizza, oriental food, bars, offering a wide variety of dishes. The place has large tables to bring the dish or drink you bought in one of the places. It's open all day but closes 12 at night. The first floor closes 3 pm. Highly recommended to go to eat and get to know the market!
Great idea to make a mega street food of where you find the excellence of the territory between particular and fine foods and wines. I recommend going for lunch or dinner to those visiting Florence
Yesterday we had the pleasure is the amazement to find ourselves in this place for a completely alternative lunch... So many boxes that each sold their specialties and you could take what you wanted and sit and eat .. we found ourselves ordering each what is different .. I would say great! Try to believe .. if you happen to go!!!
I was in Florence for leisure and I deliberately chose to go for a ride to this San Lorenzo Market because I did not want to eat the usual pizza or spaghetti dish in the classic restaurant on the street. It reminded me a bit of Chelsea Market , for those who have ever been to New York ; a big old shed full of many small shops where you can buy cold cuts , cheese or other typical products (we had a nice sandwich there and a glass of wine) while upstairs there are fryers , grills, places to eat baked goods or a nice Chianina ... we did not stop because it was Sunday 30/12 and it was really full! While downstairs c was less chaos and L we preferred .... recommended , take a walk , it is not far from the basilica of Santa Maria in Fiore!
Of course, wherever you go, you have to know what the place eats when it eats well. Nothing beats touring well-presented markets. An experience to know Florence for flavors and colors.
