Pretty good overall. Not exceptional but ok been a few times. This was ok for the price overall but wasn’t impressed overall.
From the beginning of the experience till the end, everything was amazing. I just want to say that our guide was just amazing, extremely knowledgeable and made the tour so delightful
This was a great experience to see David. The meeting spot was across the street from museum. The staff was very hospitable. The guide was kind and full of knowledge. We would definitely go thru this site again. No waiting in line we spent an hour and 15 min in museum
This was not a small group tour and it was not either an skip the line tour. We have a wait of about 30 minuts to entre the Academia. On the positive side, the tour guide was very good and made all her best to improve the experience. Very knowlageble.
Was a very informative and interactive experience with our guide, Martha. Was hoping for more information on the rest of the museum but overall super happy with the tour.
Good tour of the David. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Michelangelo and his life. Even though it was only one hour that was enough time to cover everything
The entry to the museum was quick and easy. The guide was really excellent, clear to understand and very informative.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and gave us an in depth tour of each side of the Statue of David. He also explained a lot of information I didn’t know about the statue, which was very cool!
The tour is an efficient way to get into this small and crowded museum. The guide adds value by providing historical background and noting details you might otherwise miss. Be sure to walk all around David to get a full appreciation of the detail incorporated into this masterpiece.
Our tour guide was very friendly. She was a teacher and was very knowledgeable. We learnt a lot and she made it a very enjoyable experience. There were only eleven of us so it was a nice small group.
Excellent information, knowledgeable guide, moved our group smoothly through the crowded museum. Friendly and professional.
Good experience. Really good guide. Easy entrance to the museum. Laura was very knowledgeable and kept us all engaged.
Super great tour! The lady was excellent and kind! We got to see everything. Super worth it!! Everything was great!
Told many times to be 20 minutes early (with exclamation points). We arrived promptly and then told to come back in 15 minutes. We came back and were told there was a delay and to sit on the couch, which we did for almost 30 minutes. during this time, the tour operator continued to sell skip the line tickets for our group. Finally at 12:30 we asked again and learned that we were actually joining another tour that must have been running late or scheduled to start at 12:30. The tour guide was flustered or frustrated (maybe both) and upset and we felt that she never had any command of the group and frankly lost control. By the time we got into the academy we were nearing the originally scheduled completion point. The tour guide or operator made no modifications or efforts to improve the experience. While we were looking forward to an expert guides overview, we had also chosen this experience to keep to our personal time schedule. Had the tour operators communicated with us what was really going on rather than stalling basically, we could have reset our expectations and enjoyed the experience. I reached out to Viator afterward to see if they would consider a partial refund and heard quickly back with a no. Long story short, if you are late, Viator and their tour operators tell you won’t be refunded but if they are late, they will take no responsibility. I was surprised at the lack of customer service as our other experiences have been quite good. PS - we do notice that unlike other tours where they ask you multiple times to give a review, no one do on this tour - I suspect it’s because reviews would be poor.
Raquel is very passionate about her job, such good information and storytelling. As lot covered in just a short time. Highly recommend.
Sylvia was THE BEST TOUR GUIDE!!! She explained everything about the David that made it so interesting and even more fascinating!!!! Sylvia was fun and so helpful!!!
The tour was good but it started over 30 minutes late because they had to “find us a guide”. Seems like there are lots of tour options, could easily find a more reliable option.
Tour was great with Filomena as our guide, she was full of knowledge and had a great personality. She took us through the background of both Michelangelo and Florence to set the scene and better understand the statue of David. She was very informative while keeping it easily digestible, fun and interesting at the same time. Would definitely recommend!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was wonderful to tour with through the Accademia. This was a wonderful tour and priced very well including the entry ticket. The fact that we got to skip the line was wonderful!
The tour was exceptional!! A whole new appreciation for the history & artwork! Thank you so much for a bucket list memory.
Super friendly guide. She was very knowledgeable without overloading you with information. This tour was just long enough to enjoy and see the highlights.
This was the best guided tour I have had in my entire life and at the ripe old age of 72 that is saying something… Our tour guide Eduardo and he was unbelievable. The academy was spectacular and needless to say the tour guide beyond belief. He blended old our history with Renaissance with modern and his understanding of the works of Michelangelo was amazing.
We went to the Academia Gallery to experience the Michelangelo guided tour. Alexandra - our guide - was brilliant, including her own personal insights with historical information and enthusiasm. The information was so interesting and really brought to life the sculptures and the life of Michelangelo. Brilliant tour would definitely recommend - thank you Alexandra!
It was very easy to find the tour guide, we had to wait very little to enter the museum, and the tour guide was excellent and shared a lot of very interesting and lesser known facts.
Informative and so interesting. A lot of fun facts about Micheangelo’s life. Was able to ask questions and get detailed answers. Our group was a small one of only 8 which I much preferred to the larger groups we saw of about 15
Vera was an excellent guide. So knowledgeable and added so much more to the experience. ! Easy process for booking and check in.
Best way to visit the Gallery! Our tour guide Thomas was amazing great sense of humour and really informative. Highly recommended the tour !
The museum was exceptional and our guide, Marie, was well-versed and led us through an informative, entertaining, and enjoyable museum experience. she is the best and the museum speaks for itself.
A must see. Lines were very long but having the skip the line and guided tour made all the difference.
Great quick tour. Not a big museum. We were able to get up close to David and walk all the way around on a Thursday at 13:00.
DO NOT BUY!!! Viator changed our reservations to another time that was not doable by us and is now refusing to refund our money. Horrible customer treatment
Excellent tour. Lots of great information on Michelangelo and the history of the sculptors. Our guide did a great job.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable tour of the area Accademia Gallery. It is the low season and the lack of crowds made viewing, moving about the gallery, and taking pictures easy without the stress. Our guide is a scholar of the arts and his knowledge and insight of each of the pieces and his ability to communicate it to the average person of art knowledge (myself) was incredible. This was a most enjoyable tour.
The guide was knowledgable and kind, but be aware that the tour is very brief and does not include all parts of the museum
Our tour in the gallery was amazing! Our tour was in Spanish. Our tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable and made the tour very fun and interesting. Definitely recommend!
Great Tour Guide! Loved her artistic descriptions and knowledge of the items in the Gallery. The Prisoners and David were my favorites! She shared so much with us! Loved it!
You should ask the “main contact person” for as much & specific details about the event. Names and phone #’s if possible.
The statue of David! Our guide Antonio was very knowledgeable and maneuvered us past the lines and the crowds as promised in this booking. It was brilliant, and a very great experience with a great guide. His English was perfect as well.
This was an incredible experience! Our tour guide, Antonio, was excellent and very knowledgeable. Seeing the statue of David was more emotional than I expected it to be, and I’m so glad we booked this tour. One thing to note - Viator was able to get us in for a tour at the last minute when all tours through the Gallery website were sold out. Awesome!
Great tour and wonderful guide. Skip the line !! That’s a joke. Booked 11.arrived in good time at 10.30. We were given our communication device and we were then asked to join the queque. We waited for 35 minutes to get in.
None! They were running an hour behind. So, we couldn't take the tour. We would have missed our ride to where we are staying with our tour!!! They yelled at us when we asked.
Our tour guide seemed like a very nice person but she spoke so quietly that we all struggled to hear her. We asked her to hold the microphone so we could hear her better and she did it for 5 minutes and then stopped because she used her hands while talking.
Eduardo was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. His knowledge of art history and of the David was so interesting and he passed his knowledge on to us in beautiful English and with humor! He included several paintings and other sculptures in the tour.
Rosie the Guide was very ebullient and personable and we enjoyed her tour. We learnt a lot about David that was very interesting. Please note, however, that the guided tour mainly concentrated on David with very little on the rest of the Gallery, but you can stay on there on your own afterwards.
Our guide was so knowledgeable. We learned so much. The Statue of David was remarkable. And don’t miss the musical instrument museum!
Rosa was an excellent tour guide, so full of knowledge and was able to show us the highlights of the museum in a short amount of time. I learned a lot from her!
Tour guide was good as they work very hard for a living It was organized The museum itself is small so a skip the line ticket would suffice We went later in the afternoon around 3.00 so was not crowds not as big as I expected
Guido, our guide for this experience, was absolutely fantastic! He was very personable and able to connect with the adults and the kids alike. His stories were entertaining, and above all, his knowledge of the art and history surrounding the items in the museum was obvious.
The gallery was great and the David was breathtaking to see in real life. Our tour guide was also friendly and knowledgeable about the David and other pieces of art in the gallery. I was also very appreciate of the tour company staff - my mom and I were staying on the outskirts of the city limits, and we had a hard time getting a cab to get to the museum that morning. As a result, we showed up right at the start time rather than the advised 20ish minutes beforehand. The staff were totally understanding and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend!
