This tour is perfect to see David quickly, but still with the knowledge of how he was sculpted and an intro into the Renaissance period. Fantastic!

Itinerary
The tour will start with a visit to the section of the gallery dedicated to the Medici family's musical instruments collection where you can admire the most expensive Stradivari in the world, the oldest piano and other splendid unique instruments! Accompanied by our expert certified guide you will walk through the "De Fabris Tribune" to the feet of Michelangelo's David, carved in just 3 years by a single block of 6 meters tall Carrara marble ... you can also admire the other 5 sculptures by Michelangelo: the four Prisoners and the San Matteo. At the end of the tour you could stay inside the Museum until closing, to see Lorenzo Bartolini's poetic plaster casts in the magnificent Gipsoteca, the large collection of gold background altarpieces on the gallery's upper floor and other Renaissance paintings dating back to the XV and XVI centuries.

Very efficient was to see David if you only have limited time. Very informative and easy access. Time to walk around on your own after as well
Camilla was amazing! Very knowledgeable and fun. We did the uffizi tour and the gallery. Highly recommend this tour if you love art and history. AMAZING
Excellent tour! Very insightful and adapted to our interests. Went at our pace and answered all questions including recos in the surrounding area.
The trip was very quick, only a short security line of maybe 5 minutes to get in. The guide was so knowledgeable and the gallery limits the number of people allowed in so it was not overly crowded. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the statue of David or the gallery in general
I did not catch the name of our guide, but she was very very good and informative. We learned so much about the history of all of the artwork which made us appreciate it so much more.
Excellent tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and I had a private tour since it was later in the day. Fast tracked to see David but also learned about other artwork. Highly recommend!
Our guide was excellent. She was very very good and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed our time here.
Seeing "David" was amazing, but the addition of contextual information provided by our guide made the experience much more memorable.
I didn't know what to make of this trip to see a marble carving - a famous one - but we see marble carvings everywhere. Yet this turned out to be a real highlight. It is unimaginable - the perfection in the carving, the scale and the importance. This is another stop where we would say that a guide is essential - there is too much story here about everything to try to appreciate on your own. Amazing experience - and it gets very busy, so the tour lets you skip that insane line. Highly recommended.
Slow Tours Tuscany is a SCAM. I booked through Turbopass Florence and when we showed up to collect our tickets at the museo, the guy asked us for more money and refused to give us the tickets we had already paid for... DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. I have the receipts and booking confirmation for proof. The Sporco Stronzo tried to shake us down for extra cash. Do yourself a favor and avoid Turbopass and Slow Tours Tuscany. Book anywhere else and avoid this BS. Follow up: Polizia acknowledge Slow Tours Tuscany uses con men to shake down prebooked customers for more money in cash. Get your tickets printed and given to you in advance, avoid Slow Tours Tuscany...book through the museo or a legitimate company. Do not use Turbopass.
We got cancelled 4 days before our scheduled visit! Even though I had the CONFIRMED visit to The Academia in Florence. We’ll. Wasn’t that special? NOT! By the time Tripadvisor let me know they cancelled our tour/skip the lines tour, trying to get tickets was impossible.
Camilla was our guide, she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the artifacts. We loved how she explained the process of making a marble carving. She gave us much more information than what we read prior to our arrival at the museum.we highly recommend this tour!
Our tour guide Sara Fabbri was fabulous and was well versed in everything inside the museum as well as Florence and the history. She gave incredible recommendations around the city as well. My husband and I had a private tour with her and she was great! Thank you Sara! :)
Amazing, Amazing! For this kind of museum visit a guide is invaluable. It made so much difference to have guide explain all the highlights of the museum. David the star of the show is awesome spectacular! Guides provide all the information that makes the appreciation of Michealangelos work stand out. Tour is worthit!!
My boyfriend and I visited Florence in May. We had the best experience ever with Slowtourtuscany, everything was perfect. The tour guide was so knowledgeable about Michelangelo and the history of Florence that we fell in love with the city. I strongly recommend this tour!
Lines in Florence can be discouraging. And the heat makes the situation even worse. With Slow Tour Tuscany, we had the brilliant opportunity to skip the long line and have a nice tour inside one of the most famous museums in Italy. The tour was perfectly organized and the guide provided us with precious knowledge about Michelangelo and the Renaissance. I highly recommend this tour and this agency.
Be very careful before you book this tour. You will not get your "preferred time" and will not be assigned a time for the tour UNTIL the day of the tour. Viator should be careful as well as the "Weekend in Italy" booking company. We did not know the time of our tour until we went to the Museum. I do not consider this "Skip the Line". We waited for two hours. Poor advertising, frustrating poor communication
Extremely disappointing experience with this travel company. I had booked tickets for the Academy Museum in Florence for a visit at 4pm, but when we arrived we were informed that the number of tickets sold far exceeded the capacity of the museum, making our visit impossible. I contacted the company to ask for a refund, but I was simply told it was impossible. I find this unacceptable and unfair, as it is obvious that the company sells an excessive number of tickets without worrying about the actual capacity. Very disappointed by their lack of professionalism and understanding. I would not recommend this company at all.
The manager of the agency is simply unfriendly and extremely poorly organized. We had to go to the agency at 9 a.m., but the employees were unable to give us the tickets in his absence. She was arguing with all the customers present, without letting us speak. Finally, at 9:27 a.m., she released us into the office gallery, without tickets and without audio guides! You might as well go it alone or take another agency! The gallery is full of masterpieces, but without an audio guide, it's incomplete.
