Florence: Accademia Skip-the-line Ticket To Michelangelo’s David

Booked a skip the line ticket through Headout. The EU Tours representative was supposed to provide m the ticket at a set meeting point and time (apparently a common practice, even though it sounds dodgy!) The rep didn’t show. I was at the meeting point 15 minutes early and remained for 90 minutes, they were a complete no-show. Headout were unable to contact them when I called. Missed my only opportunity to see the Accademia. Several people who had tickets booked an hour after me were still waiting for their overdue rep to show with their tickets by the time I left; I suspect they were similarly disappointed. Headout refunded the ticket price promptly, but my faith in EU Tours was completely destroyed - I do not recommend this company at all.

Tour operator didn’t respond to calls or messages in app. They weren’t at the meeting location. Some other guy gave us tickets for a later entry. They’re basically ticket resellers who charge you a large fee for tickets if you weren’t able to book entry with the museum in advance.

This provided quick entry in to see The David and since we arrived slightly early we were able to go in at an earlier time. Worked out great!

This is a scam. No one showed up to the assigned spot. A generous person gave us their physical tickets

Our purchase was simply to get a time entry. Online tickets were sold out. Very confusing meeting point and ticket pickup. Eventually connected with the tour guide to get our entry tickets. Then just joined a line for our time. The Galleria staff seemed overwhelmed too. But once in, the exhibits were fabulous. We bought the audioguides upon entering.

We only had a short afternoon window before our train out of Florence, so waiting in line was not an option. Our 2:15 PM time slot was honored instantly. We were in, saw the masterpieces, and were back out enjoying gelato on Via dei Servi in under an hour.

Fast security check, punctual entry time, and immediate access to Michelangelo's genius. Booking this timed ticket ahead of time was the single best decision we made for our Tuscany itinerary.

You simply cannot visit Florence and miss this. Standing in front of the real David is a surreal experience. The skip-the-line ticket is mandatory unless you want to waste hours of your holiday standing on the sidewalk.

This museum is a must see! Reservations are must. Easy to find in Florence near everything walking distance. Staff was excellent!

We came mainly to see David at Galleria dell'Accademia, and it did not disappoint. The timed entry helped avoid crowds at the entrance, and once inside, We took our time walking around. Seeing the sculpture up close is something you can’t really explain—it’s just impressive.

Having a fast track entry ticket is the best way to enter The Academia and see Michelangelo’s David. We enjoyed the self guided tour in the late afternoon.

I walked past a huge line and went straight in, which already felt like a win. But nothing compares to that first moment seeing Michelangelo’s David in person. The details are insane,the size, the expression, everything feels so alive. I thought it was overrated before, but I was completely wrong.

The Museum is amazing albeit very crowded. We paid for “skipping the line” but still had to wait in line BUT not as long as some - only 10/15 minutes. Again the museum and art totally worth it. The meet up was easy and the gentleman was helpful.

Lining up was very chaotic. We found the spot to meet and all 4 in my group were handed 4 different tickets with 4 different times of entry on them. We were told, “it’s fine” when asking about this and told to stand in the line. The line however, was a chaotic mess and was difficult to figure out which line to get in. It was quite ridiculous. A little more guidance would have e been helpful but the guys “working” had few words for anyone that asked. Once we figured out where to line up, the rest of it was fine and went smoothly.

The tour operator did not show so we had to request a refund and get in the regular line anyway after waiting 25 minutes for them to show. The Viator website was great about requesting the refund for us though.

This was great. Well worth the money. We got to the front of the line ahead of our scheduled time. A must see tour!

I didn’t have to follow anyone or rush through the rooms. I could stop, listen, and really take in each piece. The audio guide explained things in a simple, engaging way without being too long. I spent extra time around the David statue, and it was absolutely breathtaking.

For the price, this experience offers a lot. Skipping the hassle of group tours was a big plus. The audio guide gave interesting insights without overwhelming me with too much information. We spent about an hour and a half inside and enjoyed every moment,especially standing in front of David and taking it all in.
