Florence: Accademia Gallery Small Group Guided Tour

Informative tour. We learned a lot and it made the pieces throughout the tour much more interesting. We visited a lot of museums on our 2 week trip and this was a highlight.

pretty quick tour, but I really enjoyed our tour guide. I thought she was very knowledgeable. The tour did end at the statue of David so I would recommend listening to her as she explains it and then taking pictures after because you will have time.

The Accademia was fabulous, however the tour operator was terrible. I booked a small group guided tour…I only go to museums with a guide. When I arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time, the lovely young woman, whose job it was to assemble the group, had not been told it was a guided tour. Upon checking with her company, she was told that the guide had called in sick a couple hours earlier. She told me and the other two people that a refund would be issued, however I have not been contacted about it. It seems that a responsible tour company would anticipate guides being unavailabile and plan for substitutes. This and promising a refund but not following through are unacceptable.

Our guide - Olga - represented the answer to the question of why would you need a tour guide when visiting the Gallery. She was speaking about Michelangelo and David with so much passion that you could enjoy the visit in a totally different way. Made our day absolutely special.

This was the best experiences I had during my trip in Italy! I would 100% recommend it! I promise it’s really worth it, specially if you are in Florence for a short amount of time.

The view were excelent, and the guide Hershey demonstrate wery good knoledge . David is amazing and demostrate the extraordinary work from Miguel Angelo. We are impressed for this cultur demonstrated of the long time befor us. It is unbelivabel to show all the demontration of art in the Galery.

Info about the tour. Accademia Gallery Skip-the-Line Guided Tour - English Guided Tour, Crown Tours. ROBERT PAULETIC | 1 Adult , 1 Infant When: April 18, 2024 Start Time: 01:00 PM Booking ID: 17486260 We had Ekatarina, the most incompetent and worst guide I've ever dealt with. We only had to enter the Gallery of the Academy and see the statue of David. First, we wasted 15 minutes while she frantically searched for who was in her group. Then the biblical rain began and instead of bringing us inside as quickly as possible, she left us to wait IN THE WRONG PLACE, THE WRONG QUEUE, in the worst rain, me and my five-year-old son (and the rest of the group of 8 people). My son later caught a cold. The rest of the group also suffered and got wet, waiting in the wrong place. When an employee of the Gallery warned Ekaterina that she was waiting in the wrong place, we stood in the right line, in which another 70 people entered in the meantime! When we finally entered the gallery, wet to the skin, it was 1.44 pm, so the skip the line that we paid double was a serious fraud! Ekatarina babbled something uninteresting in bad English, and I refused to follow the incompetent guide any further. When I asked her her name so that I could write a review, she refused to give me her name, moreover, she hid the inscription with her name on it with her hand. Later I learned the name from her colleagues - Ekatarina. Avoid that group from Crown Tours Firenze if you can!

The guide knew a lot about the information that gave us. She explained everything very well and was interested. The only thing that we did not like was the time that we had to wait to enter the museum, but we know that it was not the guide’s fault.

Michaelangelo is a genius. It was totally worth it. The guided tour experience was also amazing! Would definitely recommend the location and Crown tours as well.

I got a chance to hop on this guided tour unexpectedly with short notice so kudos to organizers. The tour didn't start off withiut complications though, because the meeting point had been changed and this had not been updated to the app. But the guide did eventually find me after I contacted Crown tours so no damage was done. Our guide shared lots of interesting facts about the works of Michelangelo and guided us through the gallery with ease. Not too many people there since the peak months had already passed. The statue of David was breathtaking and did actually move me to tears. Did however expect there to be more of the gallery, it was quite small and did not end up taking much more than hour.

There was no tour. We struggled to find the tour guide. There was a sign at the meeting address but it was in Italian only. Finally at noon a man came by and said the guide is sick and gave me a skip the line ticket and said there would be a refund. My daughter got nothing.

Very easy online booking. We were contacted shortly after online booking and offered an upgrade to a guided tour at a slightly earlier time. Well worth it! The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Medici and Lorraine dynasties and the art on show especially Michelangelo. The tour was interesting and informative. Would recommend.

The Crowne Tour team reached me out prior before on whatsapp confirming the date and time. When I reached almost on time, they were prompt in responding and easily found me in the location and guided me to the group. They are really on point and very accommodating! Laura, the tour guide, oh .. where to begin?? She was AMAZING!!! A great story teller, she doesn't rush it and tries to give all the information possible. I tried some tour guides in Rome and trust me they were very disappointing so I thought I will end up with the same experience. But I was wrong! She doesn't take you from point A to point B with brief detail, no. What she does is explaining the details, the history, connect the dots well, everyone in my group was very happy with her. She was warm, funny and very friendly! I will absolutely book Crowne Tours and hopefully Laura the tour guide whenever I'm back to Florence. Other lazy Tour Operators in Rome should really learn from them.

We had a very good tour with Manuela. She was very passionate about Mikelangelo and I think we got a real essence of what kind of artist and man he was.

A fantastic museum with both art and old musical instruments and of course David by Michelangelo! The guide was very well read and interesting to listen to. Among other things, we learned that the Renaissance more or less started in Florence thanks to the Medici family money. In the 16th century, a school of philosophy, art and music was established in the building where the museum is now located. Schools of music and art still exist there in separate parts of the building. Also want to mention the nice Jonalyn from Crown Tours who received us and arranged that so well!
