Disorganized, Bait & Switch, WAY too big of a group and Too far away from Florence sights. The guide told us Twice to go stand by the curb & wait for our bus then forgot about us and led the group that included the Pisa tour past us. If we wouldn’t have started walking around and looking at the color of stickers on people’s coats we would have been left behind. We booked the tour with the included Accademia tickets. When we arrived we were told “no, you only booked the transfer & walking tour”. While trying to get tickets online we discovered that the first Sunday of every month tickets are free, first-come basis and Not sold at all. Had the tour company disclosed this we would have booked a different day. Instead they took our money and blamed us for booking incorrectly. Attempting to do a walking tour with 50 people with no audio headsets was Ridiculous. We couldn’t hear a word he was saying. FYI to travelers- tour buses in Florence now have to drop off at the train station, which is 25 minutes away from the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, City Center. So over 4 hours wasted driving, going on a useless walking tour and walking to and from the city center. COMPLETE waste of a day.

I just love tours where the guide is not only Knowledgeable and but also passionate about the topic.
Very very interesting. Learned so much . Our guide Stephie was so nice. Plus funny. She knew everything. church is beautiful
Having a guide for Santa Croce was so worth it; I initially wanted to visit the tomb of Michelangelo, but the guide showed us so much more. It was more intimate experience - no crowds - more people should include this tour on their visit to Florence.
Francesca, our tour guide was full of information that was interesting and insightful. She really helped me get a much fuller experience of the church and the surrounding buildings.
Having a guide walk you through this church adds a lot that we would have missed on our own. Michelangelo’s tomb is impressive.
Guide took us to all the areas of this property, and clearly explained in detail what we were seeing.
Well explained your of the church and people buried there. If you like history, this is the tour for you.
It was a very comprehensive tour of Santa Croce. Our guide, Annette, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions We would highly recommend her!
Emanuel was an incredible guide! Tons of knowledge delivered in bite sized chunks at just the right time. She tied things together really well and made sure we understood how everything fit together. We came out of there really feeling like we learned a lot! Highly recommend.
So informative. We missed this church the last time we were in Italy, so this trip it was our top priority. Michelangelo and Galleria are buried inside. There was a lot more to see than i thought. Our guide was excellent.
Our guide (Annette) is as very friendly and informative. We learned a great deal about Florence history and art. The tour was about one and a half hours. It was a perfect amount of time to spend in the church of Santa Croce.
Very educational and hit all the highlights! Annette was a great knowledgeable guide! I would highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic tour with great insights of the 250 tombs. Dannie, Galileo and Michelangelo especially. Lots of history and tour guide was very knowledgeable. Thank you
Our guide was amazing and shared lots of information about this experience. Lots of information given and he took his time with all of us.
NO Audio speakers so had to strain and stay close to hear. . could not look at something else while listening.
It was very exciting to see the resting place of so many historically significant people. If you only see one church in Florence, this must be it. We took the English-speaking tour on 11 October 2025. Sadly, I cannot recall the name of our guide, but he was very good. He had a sharp wit and was very droll. His 'one liners' were perfectly delivered. I was excellently entertained! This walking tour is recommended.
Our tour guide Steffi was amazing! Best energy and such deep knowledge and passion for the basilica! Wonderful experience!
Great hidden gem! Definitely a must see. Our tour guide was great! We enjoyed a special bonus with it the Feast of St Francis- a relic of his robe.
There is so much to see — so it was great how Marta focussed on the key items. She is very well-informed and answered every question. She has so much energy and it shows that she loves sharing her knowledge. We highly recommend this tour.
Awesome guide. She was so very knowledgeable. So much I did not know about this church. Book today !! You won’t be disappointed
Our tour guide was amazing! She was so informative- would definitely recommend this tour! Loved all the details and information she gave us.
Our guide brought us through a very crowded space with ease, and allowed plenty of time for photos. Her insights clarified much of what we saw with great historical facts and stories. We definitely recommend this tour!
The trip to Santa Croce was my personal best and it became very special because Francesca was our tour guide. It was clear that she was passionate about the history of Florence. She explained every tomb and point inside Santa Croce with indepth detail and answered my questions with enthusiasm. She went above and beyond in showing all important aspects of Santa Croce. I loved this guided tour the most in my entire trip. I almost jumped in excitement when I saw a memorial dedicated to Enrico Fermi as I am from Chicago, the home of Fermi's lab and burial place. Grazie Francesca and I hope to come back again and do this tour again with you.💕
Firstly, this tour trumps the duomo without a doubt! There is a rich history in Sante Croce! I loved this experience and highly recommend this tour
This is the church with the BEST and most interesting interior in Florence. Our guide, Francesca, taught us so much about the many notable individuals buried at Santa Croce (Galileo, Michelangelo), the history behind their burials, and the art/architecture throughout the church. The dress code to enter is strict so ladies should come prepared with a shawl and wear longer pants/skirt.
Sara was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the church. We recommended the tour to others we met in Florence.
Our guide was a priceless font of knowledge and her happy spirit and way of describing the beauty of Santa di Croce was fun! BRAVO - FIVE STARS I will recommend to my friends and anyone reading this review.
Francesca gave us a fabulous tour of the Basilica Santa Croce. We learned so much and highly recommend her.
We had a great time with our tour guide (Francesca). She took her time to explain different aspects of the tombs, and the church to us. She answered all our questions and even spent a little more time than we expected on the tour.
Ivan was a fantastic guide! He is SO knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I asked. He’s also very funny too - incorporating many contemporary references to punctuate some of the unbelievable facts about the artists, artwork and architecture.
