We visited two amazing museums and other historical sites in Florence. Our guide had expert knowledge of the artwork and artists. She made it an exciting experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Giovani used a lifetime of knowledge to teach us about Florentine culture, politics and history. His engaging character blending humor and academic expertise brought the most important lessons on the birth of the Renaissance and the primary characters involved. A fascinating experience a person can only gain by walking through time with a gifted teacher such as Giovani. He whets the appetite to dive further into this time period and better understand art history. I gained a great appreciation for how these ‘craftsmen’ (as they were known then) became masters of art and influenced the civilized world.
Giacomo was a great guide! We had a very good tour with him and he was very knowledgeable of history of all areas we saw. I most enjoyed talking to him after lunch having an espresso! Seeing the real statue of David with his explanation was a wonderful experience!
This was fantastic. We had such a knowledgeable guide who steered us to all the most important artworks and explained the evolution of Renaissance art in Italy. Really inspiring and fascinating day.
This was the best way to see Florence! Our guide Giacomo was excellent! He was knowledgeable, nice, and knew how to navigate the museums and crowds to give us the best experience in the Uffizi and Academia. We highly recommend touring with him!
Giacomo was very informative and fun! He connected the pieces of art across multiple different locations and injected a lot of humor along the way. A great way to see the highlights of Florence in one day!
Best tour we did in Florence hands down. Giacomo our guide was incredible. He was fun, interesting, and engaging throughout all the museums, but went above and beyond to show us interesting unique features of the city as we walked from the Uffizi to the Accademia
Having Giacomo as our tour guide was a delightful experience. He was a great raconteur who brought focus and clarity to an incredibly complex collection. He moved us very efficiently through the crowded galleries; we rarely waited in line. By pointing out key features of many artworks, he helped us to more deeply understand the times when they were created. This guided tour was well worth it!
It’s a good tour, Susana (our guide) is very profesional, but I consider the tour too expensive. You should give your regular clients a discount.
Giacamo was an amazing host! Insightful, funny and had a wondeful Italian charm. He hit all the highlights in the gallery without feeling like anything was missed; every question was answered with grace. Showing hidden details in the work that I wouldnt have spotted in a million years. He even took us to his own personal favourite artwork which was great touch. The tickets reserved also meant there was next to no queueing which was very much appreciated on a 30 degree day! Giacamo also recommended a great local, family-owned lunch spot which had been open for 100years and the food was amazing! Couldn't recommend the experience (or Giacamo) more!
This is probably a great tour for art lovers who can stare at the same painting for 20 min while listening about its every detail. Unfortunately, that is not us. We also did not realize and appreciate that this tour is 100% about art and pretty much nothing else, so that is on us. Our tour guide (Giacomo) was very nice and humorous at times. However, we told him numerous times that we do not need very long lectures about every painting, but that request was pretty much ignored even through only a third of our group was pretending to listen. Others were just trying to wait out the long lectures while trying to find a seat.
Maria was an amazing guide and a wealth of great information on Florence and all the works in the Uffizi and the Galleria. The day was like a mini-course in Renaissance Art History and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. She also customized the tour based on our interests and had great recommendations on local spots and restaurants to visit as well. I highly recommend.
Perfect day exploring two treasures of Florence. Francesca was an amazing tour guide. She was passionate, knowledgeable, and a fantastic storyteller.
What a fabulous private tour provided today by Made of Tuscany and our amazing guide Giacomo. We saw so many people walking around both galleries with books and earbuds so they could get obtain basic info about the pictures and sculptures. We, however, were able to find out the details of each work and the story behind each work that really made the works come to life, and in turn, made each work more interesting. Giacomo was able to mix the descriptions of the works with histories of the time, stories of the artists (and their employers, families, loves, etc.) and humor. The hours flew by as we saw famous works in a way we never would have seen or understood without Giacomo. Our family highly recommends Made of Tuscany and our guide Giacomo.
The best way to see the museums. Giacomo was the best! He made a good tour great! Highly recommended.
Susannah was an extraordinary good guide to the Ufizzi and Academia. She was patient, informative, and entertaining. She offered us options and knew what to skip and what to examine more closely. I cannot recommend her highly enough -- she was great.
When a guide is passionate about their subject, tours are educational, steeped in history, and the artwork comes alive. Giacomo was all of this and more. Of the many tours we took over 10 days in Italy, this tour with Giacomo was our favorite. When it was over (and we did not want it to end), we felt as if we had participated in a master’s class. Giacomo gave us insight into the artwork that came before, why it was constructed in the manner it was, who the masters were who taught the legends we know, and the techniques they developed (and why). This tour is worth every penny, and we will long remember our friend, Giacomo! “Highly recommend” doesn’t begin to express our appreciation.
This a a great tour because we got the highlights of everything. We didn't get bogged down with every painting and sculpture. Our guide, Ileanea (?) was very nice and informative. We learned a lot too.
The deep knowledge our tour guide shared on the history of art and artists in Florence and Tuscany. He was very thoughtful to make sure we got the most from the experience and checked-in often to make sure we were getting what we wanted out of the experience.
Very seasoned tour guide who was highly knowledgeable! Be prepared to learn. Outstanding tour! Highly recommended!
Rosa is a very experienced guide who has worked with your groups world wide. She is very knowledgeable and has a pleasant personality. This was a private tour with my wife and two grown daughters - one of which is a 35 year old with Downes Syndrome. Rose was excellent with her and made sure that she was included throughout the tour. We invited her to lunch with us at a location she recommended. I would highly recommend Rosa, especially if you need to make modifications for the members of your family or group. She went out of her way for us which was sincerely appreciated. Bella Bella Rosa.
We had a spectacular day of exploring Florence’s art with Cristina. The galleries were predictably crowded, but Cristina made it feel very intimate and special to check out all the big highlights and learn about the evolution of Florentine art through her incredible depth of knowledge. We would’ve missed a lot of the cool insights and special elements of the paintings, especially, if we didn’t have her as a guide. Definitely worthwhile to ensure you get some true grounding in the museums and study some of the masterpieces — otherwise it would just be too overwhelming! The David was a true highlight for us, as were the Botticelli works at the Uffizi.
Christina was the most amazing guide we could have asked for. She was fantastic in every way. Her knowledge of the art and buildings blew our minds. She was so fun and engaging- we only wish we could have set up more toura with Christina!
A long day, but so informative. I recommend asking for ear pieces, even for a small group. The museums can get very crowded, and the tour guides have to keep their voices down. Our guide brought us to the highlights of the Uffizi Gallery, tracing the development of art from Botticelli to Caravaggio. It helped to have her perspective and instruction, otherwise everything can get overwhelming.
I think this tour was a bit slow moving and way overpriced. The ‘skip-the-line’ part was absolutely worth it, but I did not enjoy the tour guide. Would not recommend this tour at all.
Guide was very knowledgeable but did not relate to children very well. We have used this service for other tours and the guides were able to speak very well to the children.
Our visit in Florence was short and we wanted to see the amazing collection of the world’s art masters. Our guide Suzanna was incredible. A Florence native, she went out of her way to meet us at our hotel. Her knowledgeable was incredible, as she related the history not only of the masterpieces but also of the history of Florence, it’s cathedrals and beautiful palaces. The downside to the tour is that there was so much to take in, but considering our appreciation for the arts we managed to see all the highlights from the greats. Great tour and ask for Suzanna as she really did an outstanding job, with a easy flow of the Uffizi and Academy!
Great tour! Constantina was great and very knowledgeable. Recommend to all lovers of art, architecture and history!
Andrea was a wonderful tour guide, he really took the time to explain everything to us, really helped us connect various artworks to each other and kept our 3 kids of varying ages engaged.
It was so much to take in, I recommend doing it earlier in your vacation. We were already pretty worn out with two weeks of walking tours. But it was breathtaking and having a guide really helps you appreciate what you are looking at.
Elana was knowledgeable and assisted us in seeing both Uffizi and Accadamia while seeing the main sights in Florence in half a day! This was an excellent value to be able to have our questions answered, avoid long lines, and learn more information about Florence than we could ha
Sophia was a wonderful guide and her love and knowledge of Florence was on full display. It was nice to have someone guide us through the exhibits at the Uffizi gallery and tell us the stories behind them. The accademia was great as well. Sophia even made dinner reservations for us at a lovely restaurant that we enjoyed later in the evening. Would definitely recommend!
Having a knowledgeable guide who explained the history of what we were seeing. The architecture and art was stunning.
Fantastic guide and itinerary! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, and she was also personable and took an interest in us.
We had a fabulous experience with Alexandro (Alex), our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the city, it’s history, architecture and especially the art. I gained a whole new appreciation for Renaissance art, how to recognize it and the aspects that differentiate between the different artists. He showed us what to look at in each painting and sculpture and building. Today we are viewing a different museum on our own, and really miss having his insights. He is an awesome guide who obviously loves what he does.
Florence is a city full of history and art, and our guide Constanza was very helpful in making both come to life for us. Her in-depth knowledge on how to read paintings was impressive, and her passion for art truly infectious. She is personable, warm, and funny - a great companion for a wonderful day.
Loved our tour guide! She gave us history of Florence along with art history, and really brought it all to life. Highly recommend this tour.
We asked ahead to shorten our private tour from 6 to 4 hours as our time in Florence was limited. In spite of this, our knowledgeable guide Andrea seemed to fit a mini art history course into a beautiful whirlwind tour. We came away with a greater appreciation of Florence’s role in the Italian Renaissance. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re limited on time and don’t want to miss the must-see art and highlights of Florence.
Nice and interesting tour! Only good impressions. Amazing Uffizi and Galleria Accademia. My recommendations!
well worth the price. And booking this enabled us to avoid the long lines. Good guide. For me, Academia was more interesting than the Uffizi, but both were great.
We had a magnificent tour with our guide , Lorena. She was so incredibly knowledgeable of the art and history of the beautiful city of Florence!
It may look pricey at first, but the Private Full-Day Tour in Florence was worth every Euro. We met our guide for a day, Andrea, on time at the Fountain of Neptune and headed straight to Uffizi. With so many tourists wanting to get in and tickets hard to get on time, it was such a smooth move to walk with Andrea. He is such a delightful man with profound knowledge and passion for sharing his love of art and history, he was able to give us best of what we wanted. Beware, unfortunately he is not the best photographer :) Uffizi and Accademia in a day is quite a lot than you think, but with little time we had, we just had to do it and Andrea made the experience much enjoyable. The walk between the two intitutions was also memorable, as there are plenty of history lessons on the streets of Florence. Overall, the experience was not only private, but very intimate, warm and delightful and I would highly recommend this tour!
My wife & I were observing our 13th anniversary..We were fortunate enough to have an enthusiastic, passionate guide in the personage of ?Leonara , herself an academic, former restorer.. To say she brought to life the history of Florence in a very real and emotive way is an understatement,, Recognizing the realistic limits to what can be comfortably consumed and appreciated in the allotted time, she thoroughly expanded our working knowledge of the time, and the historical individuals and important relationships which helped to shape region at the time.. Absolutely recommend this tour without reservation.. Leonora's the greatest :-) We thank you for the exposure to Florence
Our private tour July 12 (ref#702462536) in Florence, included the Uffizi and Accademia Gallery was absolutely perfect in thanks mainly to our tour guide Giovanni. He was incredibly knowledgeable about art and the history of Florence and his passion in describing the sites was so evident. Our 6 hour tour flew by and we were sad to see it end. I would highly recommend this private tour to anyone attending Florence!
Suzanne brought Florence to life for me. Her passion, knowledge and love of this land and it’s history created an experience that I will never forget. Thank you for everything and I hope to back soon with more of my family. Xo
Thank you Victoria for an awesome experience. You are so passionate we enjoyed every moment ! Your passion for arts comes through and you made us so interested in everything you had to say...day well spent..

Florence is steeped in so much antiquity and it played such an important role in the Rennaisance movement, that it is crucial to have the right kind of guide who is aware of all aspects of the City and can bring it alive for you. Which is why we were very pleased that Sylvia was assigned to our family myself, my husband and our two young daughters by 'Made of Tuscany'.
After a very interesting and meandering walk through much of the main sites of historic Florence, we vistited the Uffizi and Academia. The skip the line access into both museums that this Tour offers makes entering both places a much more pleasant experience.
Throughout the day, Slyvia gave us much in depth insights into everything she showed us, most times pointing out unusual and unique things, which would have been missed by our untrained eyes. At the Uffizi she showed us all the main pieces of art and did the same at the Academia. During the Tour we were allowed enough time to stop and gape in wonder at all the beauty we were seeing, take photographs, purchase souveniors and even pick up gelatos. We even had a chance to visit one of Florence's iconic mosaic stores which has it's own workshop.
Our questions were very patiently answered and my daughters were very well engaged. Sylvia knew that one of my daughters is a student of art and music and the other loves fashion, so she made it a point to highlight many features in the artworks and displays that we saw in the galleries and in the places and stores around the city, that were in line with their interests.
It was also amazing to see how many people in Florence knew Sylvia-passersby, museum staff, store owners! We sure were in good hands.
This Tour is something that you should consider because you get to see almost everything historic and essential that Florence has to offer in a single day. Moreover the explanations, especially of the exhibits at both the Uffizi and Academia, an Art Historian guide can give you, are incomparable.
Felicia Variava Albert, Managing Director, Blaze Tours and Travels Pvt. Excelente!
