interesting view into life during the reign of the Medici. Incredible collection of the masters , a view into “the life of the family who set the standard for art, power, and influence all while establishing Florence as an important seat in world culture.”. wear very comfy walking shoes and give yourself at least 5 hours to take in the artifacts in the home and gardens. the gardens are under construction , but you still get an appreciation for the “utopia” the family created for themselves. the amount of treasure of the masters preserved is amazing . i also recommend using a study guide to help you appreciate the connection between the medici, and culture in general: Italian national politics, i art, the Church and the city of Florence.

Excellent combination of outdoors and interiors. Walking the gardens in the morning is a pure and fresh experience with excellent views of the city. Stop for a break then and head off into the Pitti Palace, a spectacular journey of art, interiors and fashion history. Both the gardens and the palace are beautifully maintained to an exceptional standard.
Getting to go in the reservation line was nice and the ebook helped us to navigate the museum and gardens. After 5 other completely guided tours it was nice to just explore on our own.
The castle is memorable, lots of art and beautiful furniture on display, also a lot of steps, but there is an elevator in the building. We were disappointed that the gardens were closed, and instead of the sign being at the bottom of the long hill to get to them, the sign was at the top. It was a 90°F day, full sun and trudging up that hill to only find the gardens closed wasn’t fun.
This was only an entry ticket, not a tour. I thought I was booking a tour like all my other Tours. It was worth it though.
The Gardens are being renovated. Not worth the time or time. The market literature did not mention it.
The Boboli gardens were closed yet we had no notification. Also in the explanation, it had a meet point, but it didn't explain that there was no guide. Out of all my tours , this was the worst
Beautiful gardens once you use the map. There are definitely renovations going on near the palace and climb to the top for amazing views then explore. Wonderful paths and gardens. The palace is full of beautiful art and especially loved the museum of costumes. Nice cafe in the courtyard. I highly recommend this the pdf on my phone provided good information.
Well worth a visit. Lots of interesting art work and costumes to see. Gardens were having works done but they were still beautiful to stroll around.
The Pittu Palace is a beautiful place to visit, the fashion through the years displays were brilliant and the artwork and palace rooms were superb. To be honest we did find Boboli Gardens a little disappointing as there was a lot of building works going on and they are generally trees and green areas - it would have been lovely to see some beautiful flower gardens. There are a lot of steps and the gardens are expanse so be prepared for that but overall it was a lovely experience in the heart of Florence
The gardens were under renovation and. Not much to see. Very disappointed. I feel like there should have been a disclosure regarding the graders. We were looking forward to that portion of the tour.
The Piti Palace is really worth the walk there to see it, even though it is across the river from the usual tourist area. It is not very far and has so much amazing art. I also especially enjoyed the exhibit of fashion through the ages. We purchased a timed ticket that included a visit to the garden, but after we toured the palace and tried to get into the garden, we were told our tickets didn't include it. They were wrong, and it was pouring rain on May 5th so we didn't stand there and argue with them. Later at out hotel I found the ticket notice that included the garden, but it was too late. Lesson learned, make sure that you have all the emails and ticket vouchers readily available to show to grumpy guards.
in summer, come early as possible no AC on some inside areas. Difficult to read handouts on line, print or an audio version would be better.
We are very impressed by the palace, but we are not impressed by the gardens. The lack of signage and the lack of actual gardens really kind of threw us off. We had much better expectations and the pictures do not need the actual. I would skip the gardens in the future and just do the palace.
Gardens are great and so is museum. The bad part is having to scan your ticket to each area. Not ideal if tix are on your phone and there is no internet access within the grounds.
It’s an incredible place and you can spend hours here. Highly recommend. Lots of ground to cover and some of the terrain can be steep so plan accordingly.
I found the ebook hard to use. I finally just abandoned it. Palace and gardens are impressive. I would like to go with a guide.
Pitti Palace was a wonderful and beautiful experience. Boboli Gardens, No. The Gardens have some major construction projects underway (April 2026 was our visit). In addition the other areas of the Gardens are a mess. I am not sure if the have a gardening team, if they do, maybe hire a new one. The mess of the Gardens did not spoil the visit. Pitti Palace's artwork is breathtaking. The total value of the collection is priceless, but a real number would be in the trillions. Definitely add this tour to your agenda. Great value, easy to use and very satifying.
So glad we went with the full package. Took us about 4 hours do do all the museums in the palace and the gardens. We could have spent another hour!
The Palace was amazing but the gardens were a little run down. Lots of scaffolding and closed access.
The problem today was the workers were ton strike. They could have informed us about it earlier in the morning. And given us a choice. But otherwise the place is gigantic, beautiful and the gardens tremendous. Never saw the apartments 😞
Not enough details in the description and no one helpful, we missed the royal apartments. Never received the actual tickets from coordinator. Had to have tickets printed by ticket office.
Wow! This place was absolutely beautiful! The kids loved all the art and extravagance the palace had to offer! Unfortunately we weren’t able to go to the Bobli Gardens, apparently only our adult tickets had access and the child tickets we got did not. I’m not sure what the mix up was but oh-well.
It was a lovely experience, definitely worth doing. I would advise making sure you downloaded the tickets from WhatsApp. They will not allow you to enter without it. It is worth it for the gardens alone.
This by far was the mistake fun activity especially for the kids. The garden is so beautiful and peaceful. We went when there was construction on the main fountains unfortunately, but it was still an amazing experience.
Take a free ticket at the ground floor to get a TIMED access to the Royal Apartments. This should have been made clear when we took this combo tour with Boboli Gardens TIMED entry. It was fortunate that we were still able to get a 5pm entry to the Royal Apartments so we were able to visit it. We enjoyed the Gardens even if there were no flowers. The overlooking viewing point of the City was great as well as the entrance/exit of the vasari corridor connecting Uffizi Gallery to the Palace located at the garden exit. The Palace and Gardens gave a Mini Versailles feels
There is a lot of walking, but it is absolutely worth it. The view from the gardens is breathtaking!
After some initial difficulties accessing our tickets due to poor connections we were eventually able to visit the palace and gardens. The palace was amazing with the architecture and decoration in the rooms nearly outshining the artwork on display. We missed the windows to visit the private apartments as we were not aware we needed extra tickets. We then went out to the gardens which were wonderful, but too large to visit properly after seeing the palace.
A great museum filled with immense treasures. Highly recommend a guide though. They will ensure you see the most important works.
I purchased tickets on Trip Advisor months ago. The bar code appeared on the app for all three tickets but when we arrived and tried to enter the ticket taker pointed to a window with a long line about 200 yards away from the entrance. My adult son stood in the line for 20 minutes to redeem paper tickets. This was not made clear. Also lots and lots and lots of steps which we climbed to get to the museum and fashion institute inside the palace at the very top down several hallways. You have to be a fashion lover to endure that marathon. For me, it was worth it. The Italians know how to do a fashion exhibit. Turns out there is an elevator which we did not discover until after the fact. It’s across from the coat/umbrella check. The gardens are beautiful (a lot more steps) with beautiful views. I don’t think I saw the full beauty of the gardens because I was climbed out at that point. I’m in my late sixties and a swimmer but beware for those who are elderly, mobility issues or unfit.
The visit of Palazzo Pitti was very interesting. We could enjoy the Boboli gardens in sunny weather,
