We walked from our hotel, instructions were clear. Tour guide was visible. Our guide Fiorella took us past the lines and straight into the Vatican. Fiorella was fantastic. Very passionate, sweet and knowledgeable. Only miss was the Vatican gift shop as she was able to get us a shortcut to the Sisteen Chapel. Would highly recommend this tour.

Not sure if it’s truly worth the price I paid (around €91 for two tickets) but I would say this is still a good ticket to get. The instructions were given the day prior and easy to follow for the self-guided tour. The Bell Tower steps are no joke (I’d recommend going right when they open at 8:15) but the views are stunning. Be warned that there was construction and scaffolding up when we went in early September 2026 so some views were partially obstructed. The Baptistery was also under restoration. The Duomo museum however was surprisingly interesting so don’t forget about it!
Whew, that’s a lot of steps! The ticket gets you access to a lot but the instructions on how / when to get to each were a bit unclear. Plan for 45 mins at the museum - we got rushed and had to skip that. Climbing the tower was great. It’s definitely a workout though. There are 3-4 landings along the way to rest. The bell tower is currently under construction so while we did have phenomenal views, there was fencing in the way. The iPhone camera fits between the fencing so you can largely take unobstructed pictures but a traditional camera would not.
The climb can be challenging, but there are multiple levels—about every 100-120 steps—where the stairs open up to a floor that will give you a large open space to sit and rest. Each level has information about the history and significance of the structure and its builder. However, each window, opening and air vent has a thick wire screen covering it, so if you're hoping to get broad panoramic photos or videos, you will be frustrated. At the top, the walkway around the roof is completely enclosed by the wire fencing. It's a wonderful view, but challenging for photographers and videographers. You could probably use your cell phone if you position its lens through the square opening in the screen that covers the tower’s openings.
Easy and convenient, but you pay a premium. The tickets were simple to purchase and were sent directly to us via WhatsApp, so the process was smooth. The bell tower climb itself is absolutely worth doing and the views are great. My advice: plan ahead and buy your tickets directly if you can. We went through a third party because we weren’t prepared in advance, and while everything worked perfectly, we paid quite a bit more for the convenience.
Great experience and definitely worth it! The bell tower climb offers amazing views of Florence, and the cathedral and museum are beautiful and full of history. Highly recommend!
No issues with getting the ticket. We opted not to climb the tower as there was a crazy heat wave! We would recommend.
Great view wonderful way to see city from high. Be prepared to walk up 400 steps in a very narrow space but so worth the trek.
Good value for the money. So many stairs in the Bell Tower, but worth it. Museum is well done. Bapistry was underwhelming
The ticket included all the ‘buildings’ we wanted to see. The view from the Bell Tower was fantastic.
Everything went smooth picking up our tickets. At first we were having a hard time finding the gentleman holding sign but asked someone and found him. The views were amazing and worth the climb!
We all really enjoyed this experience. Early visit is a good idea as I think later in the day it would be very hot to climb 414 steps to the top of the bell tower. I chose this rather that the Duomo as you have to climb between the two layers of the dome, which, for some, may be a little claustrophobic. the Duomo is around 40 steps higher so not much in it in terms of the spectacular view you have from the top. its worth noting that there is only one set of stairs so up and down share the stairway some people wait for wider gaps to pass and others do not. the entrance to the Cathedral is timed and you wait outside closed wooden doors near the bell tower not where the queue is for un-ticketed entrance. when it is your time slot they open the doors admit you and close them again, i can see how people have said finding entry is confusing. You cannot enter with a back pack of any size, it goes in a locker next to the museum so allow time to do this. Ladies you need to have your knees covered so do not wear shorts or a very short skirt/dress. Likewise shoulders must be covered so wear T-shirt/ short sleeved blouse or have a wrap to drape. cathedral and crypt allow non flash photography. Your ticket allows you untimed entry to the Baptistery and museum until 18:00 giving you time for a coffee break / lunch the buildings are cool, the tower is not so pick your time carefully as hotter months will be a tougher climb. I would agree that there is not a need to climb both tower and dome. We were happy with the tower and stunning views, but appreciate others may much prefer the experience of climbing the Duomo
I was a little unsure about tackling the steps at first, but after mustering the courage I made my way up Giotto’s Bell Tower — and I’m so glad I did. The views over Florence are absolutely stunning. The staircase is quite narrow in places, so be prepared to step aside to let others pass. Thankfully, there are several floors along the way where you can pause, catch your breath, and sit down before continuing to the top. It’s well worth the climb for the incredible panorama waiting above.
10.15 ‘skip the queue’ access literally enabled us to be the first two people to enter the cathedral. The cathedral crypt was fascinating. The tower was definitely worth the 415 steps.
As the queue to enter the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore was incredibly long and the tour of the dome fully booked, we opted to take the bell tower tour which also enabled us to visit the Cathedral, crypt and Baptistery. Climbing Giotto’s Bell Tower, with its 414 steps, is both a challenge and a reward. At the top you can enjoy sweeping views of Florence with the red-tiled roofs stretching toward the Arno and the dome rising majestically at eye level. The vast interior of the Cathedral, crowned by Brunelleschi’s famous dome, reveals centuries of art, faith, and engineering brilliance. Beneath the cathedral, the crypt of Santa Reparata offers a quiet glimpse into the city’s early Christian roots, with ancient mosaics and the remains of the original church that once stood on the site. Across from the cathedral, there is the Baptistery of San Giovanni dazzles with its golden mosaics and historic bronze doors.
We walked up to the top of the Bell Tower and were treated to an amazing view of the entire city. It was worth the cost and the exercise required to get up to the top. The museum (Museo) was also a very cool experience with lots of really nice sculptures and a comprehensive exploration of the history of Il Duomo. Grazie!
Worth the climb! Almost as tall as the Duomo observation deck and not as crowded. Really Awesome views!
Easy, skip the line explore on your own tour! We climbed the Bell Tower as well! Had to call our representative because we were in the wrong spot and he was easily able to help us find him!
Its lots of steps but worth the climb. We happened to reach the level just below the bells as the began to chime! Once to the top level we enjoyed picking out the landmarks below. Such a beautiful city. People on top of the dome waved back at us! It was like being on top of the world. Beautiful.
There was no specific meeting point in the piazza. The guide had no sign. The instructions were too vague and caused us to be ten minutes late. The guide did not explain how the three day ticket works.
Great trip and awesome guide. Abdul is the best - patient, nice, helpful and clear in his directions. Would recommend!
The view was beautiful, but the negative is people going up and down the stairs at the same time, made passing a little tight on the staircase. Furthermore an easy fix , allowing so many on the staircase . I would not do it again ps if you claustrophobic it's a no
413 steps to the top and worth every step. Views were fantastic! Be aware of tight quarters along the way but there are a few open areas to stop and relax if you need too.
I didn’t actually go in this tour because I made a mistake with my booking date but the hosts were very understanding and generous and gave me a full refund even though the mistake was mine. They were very kind and understanding.
So good to have the opportunity to visit the main sites of this amazing city. We had limited time, so it was good to avoid queueing and have one ticket for all. Please improve the instructions for ticket collection. It implies that you have to obtain tickets from a different place to the meeting point, prior to joining,. This was not the case and it did cause confusion.
This is a rip off. The actual cost of the multiple events is $20 euro. Just go to the duomo museum lobby and purchase the same package they’re over charging you for. Also, the person giving you your passes didn’t even stand where they listed he’d be. This package is only worth $20 euro. Don’t pay a single cent more!!!! Look for the original site to purchase tix. I didn’t know TripAdvisor grossly over charges.
Great experience. Abdul was great he got us where we needed to go quickly and helped us find him in the correct area by calling and texting. Very efficient and helpful service.
The views were amazing. Glad I did the bell tower as was unusually hot whilst I was in Florence and I don't think I would have made it up the Dome!
Was a little dubious to book tickets same day as all other options had sold out. However we collected tickets as instructed 10 minutes before our timed slot and all worked perfectly. We were pleased we climbed the bell tower to get a view of the done instead of the other way round. The crypt and bapistry were also a bonus
This is a good option IF you do not want to wait in line at the ticket office line. The tickets themselves were only €20 each (€40 total for 2 of us) but I paid this company $97. The experience itself was great and the man that gave us the tickets was kind, but he just gave us the paper tickets and told us which of the three points of interest were. This is not a guided tour, you are just paying to not wait in line to get your ticket. At least, this was our experience today.
The views were amazing and we did take so many photos in this wonderful tower in Florence. Climb was good fun, views were stunning and it was well run.
What a fantastic experience to climb Giotto’s Bell Tower. You have to have your wits about you and be relatively fit since these are confined spaces and you meet people coming up and coming down but generally a fun experience with some lovely panoramic views. It’s a great thing to tick off your Florence list!
Skip the line was the most beneficial art of it. Did enjoy the Bell Tower! Be ready to climb a lot of stairs!
Every landing you come to is a welcome respite and offers extraordinary views of Florence and the duomo. The climb really isn’t that bad as long as you’re not morbidly obese. The stairs do get tight the further you go up, but never too tight. No bags of any kind are allowed in the bell tower, but the tickets include a locker at no additional expense. The baptistery and cathedral can be done on another day if you’re too tired after the hike up.
Amazing views after climbing 414 steps of the bell tower. It was perfect and enjoyable experience. This ticket also give us access to all museums of the piazza del duomo. The host was informative and guided us properly where to go first and how can we utilise this ticket to maximum.
Well worth the money. Buy this ticket and visit everything in the Duomo vicinity. The best part was to climb to the tower and the museum. We climbed more than 400 steps to see the panoramic view of Florence it was amazing. Highly recommended visit in Florence.
The tower was nice but if you climb the Duomo then there is no need to climb the Bell Tower. The Duomo has a view that is much better and higher. Save your money and time!
He showed up two minutes before we were supposed to use our tickets. He said 10 mintues before to met. He said he would have a sign, he sign was a small piece of paper. The tickets for the actives were worth the money but the seller was not a very good experience.
It is very good. The employee is near to church. He gives you tickets valid for a couple of days. I reserved my trip on 4:30 pm. However, contact the operator to start really
The experience itself was great. Unfortunately the person representing viator gave us 2 tickets that had already been used. So 2 out of the 4 tickets we had worked. Luckily the guard at both the bell tower and duomo were kind and let us in. The guard at the baptistery turned us away.
We were never able to do tour due to a delay in previous tour. No refunds unfortunately. Very rainy day, so really made for a hard day for touring.
The ticket was ideal for saving time in line waiting to buy them direct and gave us access to several other areas in the church and museum. We had also been told the tickets were sold out for the Bell Tower until the next week, but we were able to find them here. Make sure to read what it gets you access to in order to understand the buildings and areas. It is a little confusing but there are signs on all the doors.
We booked our tickets through Viator to gain access to the bell tower and cathedral. There was no guide, we just met up with the tour person who gave us our tickets for entry. We were fine with this, as we have been to these historical places before. This was a last minute decision and very easy to obtain tickets for timed queues.
We were so glad we did Skip the line tickets and would recommend doing it later in the day to see the sunset. Beautiful view from the Bell Tower. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, light weight clothing and bring a bottle of water for the 414 stairs to climb.
Good organisation, tour guide was easy to find. Great views from the tower and would highly recommend
It was a really really mindblowing expérience. The Florence view from thé top After climbing the tower was beautiful and eye catching. Must do thing if you visit florence
I had an amazing time looking at the view of Florence from the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower. Today was probably one of the nicest days of the year so the views were exquisite. And the cathedral absolutely blew my friend and I away. Was so cool, would totally recommend!
We got late than the actual reserved time and there was nobody on the meeting point. We called the contact number mentioned on the voucher and informed about our delay. They told us not to worry about and said we'll share you pdf tickets on your whatsapp. They also wrote us a detailed note which entrance we have to go with this tickets. We easily found that entrance and hot i to the cathedral.
It was amazing experience to see the panoramic view of Florence. The host was very informative and helping. She guided properly about the locker room and entrance. It's good to reserve in advance to save time. The meeting point was easy to find. Overall the experience was wonderful. Thank you for making my day.
