This was a very good tour that allows you to "skip the line" (really just take a much shorter line with your guide) and get the highlights of the Academia and Uffizi galleries. Our guide was great and taught us a lot about the art as we went along, but was never boring. We would not have appreciated much of what we saw without him.
One of the highlights of our time in Florence. Visiting both the Uffizi and Accademia Galleries with a guided experience made all the difference, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Our guide, Annalisa, was outstanding, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and wonderfully personable. She brought the art and history to life with engaging stories and insights that we never would have appreciated on our own. Her passion was evident throughout, and she struck the perfect balance between informative and enjoyable. The entire experience was seamless, well-organized, and incredibly enriching. Seeing masterpieces like Michelangelo’s David and the incredible works housed in the Uffizi with such an expert guide made it unforgettable. If you’re visiting Florence, this tour is absolutely worth it and highly recommended!
David was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and highly engaging throughout the day. His passion for Florence and its history was evident in every explanation. He provided fascinating insights into the city's rich heritage, architecture, art, and culture, bringing the historic centre of Florence to life. The tour was well organized, and David's clear and informative commentary helped us appreciate the significance of the city's main attractions. He was always happy to answer questions and made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence and especially recommend requesting David as your guide. His expertise and enthusiasm made our visit truly memorable.
We had a very good tour today with a nice guide, who was so friendly and informative. Definitely recommend.
Helena was incredible. She kept a brisk, engaging pace and helped us see and understand so much of Florence, including both the Accademia and the Uffizi, without it ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. Her knowledge is exceptional, and she shared history and context in a way that was interesting, accessible, and memorable. This tour is truly not to be missed in Florence—even my 15-year-old loved it, which says everything. We learned so much and would absolutely recommend this experience.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and moved at a good pace. We particularly enjoyed how he gave us the correct perspective on looking at Renaissance art, as well as why the statue of David seems disproportional - he was meant to be displayed much higher and was designed and carved for that reason.
This was a great overview tour, especially of the Academia & Uffizi museum highlights. Our tour guide was so very knowledgeable and was really able to translate the Renaissance in such a way that was very easy to understand.
As someone who wasn’t sure what to expect and had little prior knowledge about the art and history of Florence, this tour was fantastic. Our guide Camila enhanced this tour so much. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything and she explained everything in a way that made it easy to understand for everyone. 10/10 recommend.
Renata was our tour guide. She was great, and very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed this tour. Our flight was cancelled and they were able to accommodate us. They changed the tour for the following day at no extra cost. I really recommend this tour.
Camilla was our guide in Florence. She was amazing! Young, energetic and passionate about the history of art, music, Medici’s and all the other notable figures of Florence. We learned so much from her perspective and it was very educational. It was great to skip the longggg lines with her too!
We had a private tour of Academia and Ulfizzi Galleries. We forgot our guides name! She was amazing! Perfect English, degrees in the arts, spoke to us not at us. She walked at our pace and encouraged us to ask questions about our points of interest. We had the best day, she understood that some things bring you to tears. Go with this tour company. Hope that our girl is your guide.
Very good experience with this tour. Edy was really easy to work with, and she had lots of information she was able to share with us without being completely overwhelming. She picked out the "highlights" of the Uffizi so we concentrated on the key pieces to see and not get bogged down in all the rest. There's so much there it was nice to have an expert help us get through in the time we had. For the Accademia she was very good about helping us navigate the incredible crush of people who were all lining up and giving us some more details about David we didn't know. We really enjoyed our walk with her (and pointing out the best gelato in the city). Definitely recommend this tour (and guide).
Wonderful tour- perfectly paced and interesting and informative historical and cultural perspectives shared. Our guide Camilla was outstanding.
Alisa saw our guide. She is a native of Florence and knows the city and its art thoroughly. We had a last minute change of plans and Alisa accommodated our change so we didn’t miss anything. Alisa guided us through the museums so we could see all the famous pieces without getting lost. She knows the history of the artists and works of art. This is the only way to see these museums.
Camilla was wonderful!! So knowledgeable and passionate about all we saw!! Very respectful of our pace!(we are old and out of shape!). Best tour we’ve taken in Italy!
Really a great experience! Guide very prepared and helpful. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to spend three hours immersed in magnificent works of art.
Visited the Uffizi on Sunday 8 June. Praise the Uffizi is not necessary, it is a unique experience amid priceless treasures. The group was only 9 people, the guide, Elena, arrived 20 minutes early. We lost some time to equip ourselves with radio but the reserved entrance was quite fast (security and ticket checks, with a decent crowd). Elena proved to be an attentive, kind and affable person, always smiling and never rushed. He spoke for almost three hours without ever boring us, presenting the most valuable works of the museum and making us appreciate them, also telling anecdotes and vicissitudes of the same, and transmitting to the whole group the love and passion for art and the city of Florence that you would not expect from a guide to repeat the same things every day for several years now. He answered our questions as cultured "goats" level competently and without ever hesitation, demonstrating a deep preparation. Highly recommended visit, especially with you.
With guide Elena we were a group of 13 people. The visit was perfect, exhaustive and detailed where it was needed. On the occasion we also saw the exhibition "The Leicester Code" by Da Vinci. Three hours flying.
Very nice visit! The guide was very capable, organized and precise. The visit begins practically in the square of the offices, at the ticket office for the collection of the reserved tickets. From there you enter the museum through the door for guided tours that does not have a queue at the entrance (Any queues at the entrance are not due to the company but to the museum, which sometimes sells too many tickets.) The visit includes the main rooms of the collection, and focuses on the most important paintings. The visit is organized in a chronological way so as to give an explanation of the evolution of both history and art (from Duccio da Buoninsegna to Caravaggio). I would certainly recommend it, although at a time when the museum is less crowded. The only flaw, the stay in the rooms is not very long (the visit is dense and covers very well the many works that there are at the uffizi) so it is not suitable for people who want to eat the paintings for hours.
As good Florentines, of course it was not the first time we went to the Uffizi, since school. Never before had we benefited from such a pleasant, competent and even compelling visit. All very well organized, to the point that we will use the agency's services to visit other sites. Special thanks to Camilla Bargellini, who guided us with competence, sympathy and friendliness.
For those of us who always have little time, weekends are one of the few tools to look closely at our beautiful Italy. But when you set foot in Florence you realize that if you don’t move intelligently you risk wasting your time in endless queues, especially at the Uffizi Gallery. Instead, thanks to the Slow Tour Tuscany, in addition to skipping the line, we had the opportunity to see "the flower" of the works described with competence and clarity. Without a doubt it is an experience to do and recommend!
We participated in the Uffizi tour with guide Francesca. We are received outside and are provided with earphones to hear the guide better. We don't do any queues except the short one for checking at the metal detector. Francesca is kind and prepared. He tells us the story of the Uffizi and then begins the tour from the 2nd floor to reach the first. In each room he dwells on the most beautiful or interesting works. My daughters, 9 and 12, also followed without getting bored. Recommended.
We visited the Uffizi with my wife and two daughters with Francesca from Slow Tour and it was very interesting. Precise, funny and engaging to the point of making my daughters of 13 and 15 years always be careful. I had already visited the Uffizi but without having appreciated the history behind it and without having so many details. I therefore recommend everyone to do this guided tour for small groups where you can interact with the guide and ask questions. Good call.
