Florence From The Rooftops-the Unique Experience

So Glad we did this tour! Loved best view spots in our hidden treasure “untour” locations. Azzurra was so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Bevvies and apertivos were all local, authentic, fun & delicious. Thank you!

This tour was one of the highlights of our holiday in Florence. Azzurra is a fantastic guide and the tour is so much fun. We were able to visit rooftop bars usually only open to hotel guests to see the most spectacular views. We dined on tasty appetisers and authentic gelato and drank aperol spritz, red wine and espresso. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

The local tour guide never showed up to the scheduled tour. Viator was not helpful at all in communicating with us nor the tour guide. The tour guide finally connected to us through WhatsApp and claimed that Viator had given us a partial refund that she did not approve - so she decided not to show up! We did not get a partial refund. I requested a full refund from Viator since the guide never showed up. So far Viator has come up with every excuse not to refund my money - close to $300. Also, one of the messages from the local tour guide stated that she was only paid a tiny partial fee compared to what we pay to Viator. She also stated that we paid far more than most people usually paid for the same tour. Incredibly unprofessional on all counts and unacceptable behavior by Viator. Please be warned NOT to use them.

We actually heard about this tour from a couple we were seated next to at lunch and they could not stop raving about Azurra and how great the our was. We were able to fit it into our schedule the next day and it was one of our highlights from our trip! We immediately felt welcomed and our group got along so well. Azurra made sure everyone was introduced and we could have genuine conversations on the rooftops we went too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

Absolutely incredible experience! A must-do in Florence! Azzurra's tour is the perfect blend of culinary delight, refreshing drinks, and rich history. From the moment we stepped into the first rooftop, we were captivated by the stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. Azzurra's knowledge of Florence's history and culture is remarkable, and she answered all our questions with passion and insight. The Italian "aperitivo" was a delightful introduction to local flavors, gelato was incredible and the coffee was some of the best we've ever tasted. The spritz was the perfect touch to the evening. The highlight, without a doubt, was the breathtaking rooftop with a 360° view of Florence - an absolute must for capturing the best photos of our trip. Talking to a local and learning about their traditions added an authentic touch to the tour. Azzurra made us feel like we were part of the community. This experience was the highlight of our Florence trip, and we can't recommend it enough. Thank you, Azzurra, for an unforgettable evening!

The rooftop bars were great, and a we had a lot of fun. The food was delicious. I do recommend this tour. However, the guide told us a lot of Florence history that was completely wrong. Starting with the comment that Lorenzo the Magnificent didn’t really contribute to the culture and art of Florence.

Highly recommend!!!!! We had a great time enjoying the views and the food was great. We did the 11:00 tour and this counted as our lunch. Guide is great. You will learn a lot and have fun.

Stop reading now and just book this excursion!!! My husband and I are visiting Florence from Florida for our honeymoon. We loved this experience! Azzurra was warm and kind and conversation was not robotic and scripted like on many of other tours we have done. After we warmed up, conversation was like true authentic human connection with a local and not forced or awkward. The rooftops were beautiful (and covered, as we had some rain) and the gelato we ended the night with was truly better than any of the other gelato we have had on 3+ food tours we have done in Italy. My husband and I left this experience thinking “this was our favorite part of the trip so far” and feeling like we had made a friend. If you are looking for a casual but informative, AUTHENTIC, flexible, cool vibes away from crowds, this tour is for you.

What a fabulous way to spend a morning. Seeing Florence from a different perspective and getting away from the crowds for a while, whilst enjoying a late breakfast and a light lunch. Would recommend to anyone, and if back in Florence wouldn’t hesitate to do again. Thanks Azzura

A really enjoyable fun tour that is highly recommended. We got to see the greatest view of the dome and visited hidden rooftops that we would never have known existed! Along the way we got to try the local wine, Aperol spritz, local food, coffee from the oldest coffee shop in town & the best gelato in Florence. Azzurra was a lovely guide, her English is excellent & her knowledge of the city is exemplary. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time. After a hectic day of touring it was really nice to have a more relaxed evening just expecting parts of Florence from the perspective of a local. Our group was small, we visited two rooftop patios (each with a slightly different view of the dome), enjoyed some local wine and snacks, then visited a special coffee shop and then went for gelato. We learned about about what makes them special, how to distinguish the good gelato from the not so good, and just generally chatted like friends. No rushing, no flurry of random dates or facts. Just a pleasant evening with friends. Highly recommend. Afterward I didn’t need dinner I ate so much, so really very good value as well because I would have spent this much on dinner and it wouldn’t have been half so pleasant.

We had such a fun time with Azzurra. She’s created a tour unlike others - she has found local gems with great views and you hop from business to another trying an aperifo, a coffee, a glass of wine or a gelato at each. By the end of the evening you have had a great time and seen beautiful views as you talked with Azzurra and other travelers. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend
