An easy flat walk through the city centre. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour gave us an expansive overview of Florentine food and culture. The visit to the old central market was a highlight. Full marks.

Valeri was knowledgeable, fun, knew her route and vendors and was very aware and interactive with the participants. She had a special personality that you could only adore. There was more than enough food for a full meal and lots of walking! I would highly recommend this tour!!!
Excellent guide, a good range of local food and history. The final food item was probably authentic, but underwhelming.
Francesco was a great guide. Informative, humorous and friendly!
Loved this food tour! It was such a fun and informative way to discover what to eat in Florence. Our guide, Valeria, was fantastic; so knowledgeable, friendly, and great at making the experience enjoyable. We loved trying authentic Florentine dishes and visiting some of the best local establishments. We learned so much and had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of local Florentine food. The tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable of the history of Florence and how that relates to the food. The tour was well organized with the restaurants/stores ready for our arrival. There was a lot of food and it was varied (salad, pasta, soup, etc.). However, the title in TripAdvisor is misleading. I don't remember eating truffle and we didn't have Cantucci or olive oil (on its own). What we had was delicious, but it was other local foods. Also, the food served is not suitable for a vegetarian or vegan diets. I'm not sure if they can accomodate or not, I don't remember seeing it when I booked.
We absolutely loved this food tour. Dela was an amazing guide with lots of stories about the city and its famous inhabitants. The food was all Excellent and meeting Ivana the 97 year old owner of the bakery was so lovely. We Would highly recommend this tour.
Anna was very sweet and had planned an informative trip around the city. Some of the places were very busy and it was difficult to hear what she was saying. She was open to questions and had a large knowledge of typical food from the area.
Valerie was spectacular ! She was so engaging with our family and grandchildren . She was very knowledgable and took us to many wonderful places . The highlights were the pasta stop , the truffle tasting , the coccola, the gelato , everything ! It was a great day , we will definitely recommend it to others .
Our guide Francisco was amazing!! Great knowledge, extremely friendly & helpful, great food. Would definitely recommend as a to do on a trip to Florence.
This experience and tour will truly give you the flavor and insights of Florence- food, history, and local info. Francesco is born and raised in Florence and regaled us with tales of his favorite treat as a child, and took us to places that not only have delicious food and treats but are a major part of the community. Our family had a wonderful memorable experience and highly recommend Francesco.
Excellent fun and incredible local food with some fantastic and humorous insights from our guide Francesco. Highly recommend
I highly recommend this Tour! We got to try several different specialty foods in the center of Florence and we met some wonderful characters! It really gave you a sense of the flavors in every respect! Our Tour guide was knowledgeable, charming, and took such great care of us. Each taste was different and delicious! At the same time, we learned so many things about the history of the city and it’s culinary traditions.
Lou was an amazing host. She knew about the places we went to, and gave great commentary on highlights of Firenze. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food tour with Anna. Small group. Having grown up in Florence Anna knew all the best places to visit. She explained the history of the city and also the food, it brought the city to life and time flew by. We tried coccoli, chianti, papa, mushrooms/liver pate/cheese on bread, ragu/tomato sauce and pasta with the most delicious ice-cream to finish. We had sites of the city pointed out on the way while we strolled. The shop owners all were very welcoming from the 97yr Nona to the singing pasta restaurant owner. We met people from USA, Germany and Vietnam and all chatted while we tasted. It was an extremely lovely way to spend the evening. We certainly didn't need any dinner afterwards - just a few cocktails at Eby's! This was our very first food tour - we'll be booking up more when we are away exploring next.
Paolo was the life of the party! He shared tons of personal stories and insights into the area thru his own eyes as a life long resident of the Green district. The pasta was a highlight. Husband said it was the best he’s ever had. Gelato was to die for. Definitely go for the stories, enjoy the food!
It was nice. Food was good and filling, but not extraordinary. Would give it 3.5 stars
Great tour with a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed it very much . Well worth a few hours of your time in Florence.
This experience was the best! Ana our tour guide was beyond professional. Her knowledge and experience of the different tastings was unmatched.
Our tour with Valerie was exceptional! We walked through the streets of Florence sampling delicious homemade Italian delights accompanied by Valerie’s extensive historical and food/wine knowledge. We stopped at artisan food stores that we would have missed if we hadn’t been on this brilliant tour. Valerie pointed out so many interesting things, places and people that we would never have experienced. Thank you Valerie for an invaluable and inspiring experience.
This was an amazing food tour. Really showed us a lot about the food culture of Florence from the beginning of our stay and the places to buy food!
It is a nice walk with plenty of good food. Marisa our guide provided lots of great information, was fun and friendly. Excellent guide! The restaurants where we stopped were local and wonderful.
Great exposure to Florence’s restaurants and food vendors. We revisited some of the places during our stay in Florence.
This was the best tour I’ve ever had! The guide, Francesco, was knowledgeable, personable and had such great facts about Florence! We enjoyed every stop on the tour!
Fun experience! Would recommend to those visiting Florence. You learn not only about the history of the food you are eating, but about the city as well.
Francesco treated us to a fabulous 3 hour food tour. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. Brought us to fabulous places and we had more than enough to eat. Ended with the best Gelato. Gracie!
Tour guide was informative, standing around a busy street eating wasn’t the best way to go. Food was good.
We had our food tour with Giovanni and couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! He was super friendly, great sense of humor and came with a ton of knowledge about everything we needed to know and more about Florence and Italy. Everything that we tried was absolutely perfect and I know I wouldn’t have found half of the things he showed us on my own! If you’re thinking of booking this tour, I’d highly recommend it! I usually take lots of pics but I was enjoying the tour so much I forgot to and was definitely living in the moment but everything we tried was absolutely delicious!!! 10/10 would do again.
Excellent tour with Anna, she is an animated and entertaining communicator, with a great sense of humour. The food stops were varied, and focused on long-established local restaurants. The food was tasty, and Anna explained the history of each type of food, and how it acquired it's Florence style. A lovely walk through the side streets of central Florence !
The tour is a great way to learn about some of the history of Florence and the different foods that are eaten here. There were 14 people in our group and the tour lasted about three hours. Francisco was our tour leader and he was very friendly and informative. Have a very light breakfast, or don’t eat breakfast at all because there is a lot to eat on the tour.
I picked this tour because it looked like a good variety of food and not too much emphasis on wine -- it was a good choice. We snacked at some long-established bakeries as well as enjoying a brief sit down for pasta. The guide provided some history while walking between shops. Fun and good value.
We had a fantastic time with our guide Francesco. He gave us so much history of Florence and the food. And some great food tips for the rest of our time in Florence.
Francesco was a fantastic guide! Super enthusiastic and full of interesting information about the Florence food scene:) had lots of fun trying some new and delicious food. Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great way to get to experience Florence from a locals perspective.
Our guide Marilisa (sp?) was so charming and knowledgeable. She took us to the best small, local places, for a variety of delicious foods and stories, and shared many other recommendations for our stay in Florence.
Great food tour with Luigi! He was so much fun with a great personality! Knew so so much about Florence History and the local food spots. He claims he’s the last working Florentino 😂 who obviously loves his job. He made us all feel so welcome!
Really fun and delicious 2-1/2 hour walking tour, with terrific guide "Dila." The food was excellent, and the commentary (both culinary and historical) was excellent and informative. Good, manageably small group (12-14) of English-speaking Europeans (German, Dutch), US and UK participants. Highly recommend.
Our guide was excellent, making the walk fun from the beginning. And the food selections were just right in terms of being interesting and delicious. The city was very crowded but our guide managed to get us through the crowds without incident. I would definitely recommended this event to anyone who enjoys walking through a historic city and exploring some of its culture through food.
We had an awesome tour guide! The food was delicious, and we also learned a lot throughout the entire tour. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!
Great experience with our guide Francesco who showed us around the city along with food tasting. Everything went very well even there was a marathon taking place in the city.
Lots of food stops to try different things- come hungry. Our guide was a little hard to understand but knew a lot about the food. Had a little trouble with the hearing devices which was disappointing but not her fault.
Excellent food tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to the best establishments in Florence. We tried real authentic food and wine and learnt about the history of Florence along the way.
Absolutely amazing tour! Paolo was great fun and so knowledgeable. We all had a great time - it was so good to learn about what food Italians eat other than Pizza and Pasta which we all love too. I will now definitely look out for Street food tours wherever I visit.
This tour is a must! Marielisa was a fabulous guide, taking us to hidden places in the streets of Florence with great tastings and a delicious pasta meal before the most amazing gelato!
We had a wonderful guide and the walking tour was insightful. But the food portion of the tour was completely underwhelming. We needed to find a restaurant afterwards to eat a full meal because we were still hungry. Feeding tourists chicken liver pâté didn’t go over well with the group.
Lorenzo tour guide was amazing excellent communication skills very knowledgeable of his country lots of important and fun information provided
The food tour was very fun and informative. The food was delicious! Our guide, Valerie, was wonderful.
This is such a great way to explore the city and try local foods you wouldn't know to try otherwise. Valerie was a fabulous tour guide. She was so patient, knowledgeable, and funny. We were able to try so many great dishes both sweet and savory. Even though they were mostly small bites, we left with full bellies. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Firenze!
This was a fabulous tour with a very knowledgeable, charming tour guide who quite clearly loves food and her job. We were seamlessly shepherded through the city dropping in on all her best suppliers and food friends all accompanied by great stories about culture, history, the Florence way and all the food that was of a very high standard. Highlights were the gelato .. mine was cream, honey with orange and lemon zest, truffles, oil, street sandwiches, csntucci dipped in holy wine. Cannot rate it highly enough. A total delight. The guides will not accept tips!
Anna did such an amazing job! We enjoyed her so very much! She had so much knowledge about food, wine and history about Florance! She took care of us the whole time and was so engaging! Would definitely recommend this tour!!
Anna is great , knowledgeable with enthusiasm. She is also very attentive to everyone’s needs & questions. At the end of the tour she gave suggestions on local restaurants. We took it , and the food turned out to be superb.
