Ana was a fabulous guide. She was charming, knowledgeable, and gave us great recs. She went out of her way to accommodate our allergies, esp with respect to our gluten free guest. She brought true local knowledge & took us to places we never would have stumbled upon on our own. She has stayed in touch with further recs, which we have visited & loved.

WE booked this tour quite late but when we met our guide Maria, she was redy and provided a great experience. She took us to a variety of places, explaining the walking history as we went. We were able to taste so great charcuterie, other cheese, nice wines and some interesting and tasty street foods. We highly recommend using her services.
Very enjoyable food and wine tour in areas most tourists don’t know about. Eden was a lovely guide, enthusiast, knowledgeable and so kind! Our family with adult children loved trying the fresh Italian dishes and wines.
A great food tour!! Ana, our guide, was very knowledgeable and was delightful to be with. Not only did we learn about the Florentine food, we also learned the history of Florence at the same time. The food was delicious!
Great guide named Eden. She was patient and kind and introduced us to food we hadn't experienced in Florence before.
Our guide, Eden was great. She was very accommodating to our needs, even with one of us having a diet restriction. Everything we tasted was delicious and the tour was well worth the money. I highly recommend this tour.
This was one of the most disappointing incidents on our Italy trip. We booked the majority of our tours and events for the trip using Viator—- in most cases, we had to frantically contact a Viator help desk because our tickets were not sent, our guide did not show up, or some other aspect was missing. I booked the private food tour in Florence about 2 months in advance. I received a text message two days before the tour with our guide’s name and contact information. The meeting spot was the Fountain of Neptune. We arrived on time. We called, texted via SMS and WhatsApp, but the guide did not answer. We tried to call the WithLocals number, but no one answered. We waited on the phone as a Viator customer service rep tried to contact our guide. After 1.5 hours of waiting, they offered a refund. I’m not concerned about the money. The frustrating thing is that we planned well in advance and looked forward to this tour.
The intimacy of a private tour by Ana for my wife and me was amazing! The variety of different foods and types of vendors was amazing. In addition to the different foods and venues, our guide, Ana, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the streets, areas, piazzas, architecture we saw along our stroll through Florence. We never expected to see & learn about the buildings that were the offices of the Medici banking business or where Leonardo da Vinci lived!! Ana did a fabulous job of showing us the tourist hot spots and the quiet interesting food alimanderes & tratorrias of the locals. We felt after a short while that we were being given a private tour by our friend & true local, Ana!!
Anna was knowledgeable and amazing. She knows the best local places. Great tour to do when you arrive in the city.
Interesting guide and very good food. Lots of walking. We booked an early tour which was less hot and crowded than a later tour would have been.
We had a lovely time walking around a local area in Florence. We visited family run shops and a local market. The food samples were delicious and there was a side of history. Excellent tour!
Ana was fantastic!!!!! We went to the more authentic Florence places and she was so fun and knowledgeable! I was a little under the weather and she helped me find a pharmacy. She was great with the kids and it was also a very informative tour of the city. Would highly recommend Ana!
Unfortunately it was very wine focused even though after the second glass, I stated that I didn’t want to drink anymore.
I have done food tours all over the world. This was the worst. The “bakery style” pizza served at the last stop was not something you need a guide to find. We all left hungry even though we had signed up for “ten tasting” which was only three stops.
Maria was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and we really appreciated the way she shared insights about the city throughout the tour. She introduced us to some hidden gems we likely wouldn’t have found on our own, which made the experience feel unique and local. That said, for the price of the tour, we were expecting more food. We’ve done several food tours before, and they typically leave us feeling very full by the end. In this case, the portions felt a bit limited in comparison. If the experience is intended to focus more on the history of Florence rather than the food itself, it might be worth adjusting the pricing to better reflect that balance. Additionally, the description mentions “6 tastings,” but this doesn’t necessarily mean six separate stops it can refer to the total number of items served, which was a bit unclear and different from what we’ve experienced on other tours. Overall, Maria made the tour enjoyable, but a bit more clarity and value on the food side would make the experience even better.
You will get to try some different foods and learn a little more about Florence! We had a wonderful time and our guide Eden was delightful!
Amazing Experience!! Anna was so kind, knowledgable, and made our trip to Florence unforgettable!!!!
Ana was a great guide, giving us some history on Florence and the food. We went to a few places that we would have never even stopped at had it not been for this tour and the food was great.
This private food tour was amazing! Our guide was Mara and she was fun, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and had great food choices. We liked that it was just our family on the tour versus a huge group. Grazie Mara!!
A great quick introductory trip through the culinary staples of Florence. Ilaria was great and worked closely with us to accommodate our vegetarian daughter. She was a wonderful guide and highly recommend
Other than a meeting place mix up, the private tour was wonderful. Maria, my guide was so knowledgeable and the vendors all knew her. The tastings were delish and of you’re a foodie, this Is a must do tour.
Sara provided us with wine and food samplings that provided us an excellent to Tuscan cuisine. Additionally, she provided background on establishments and various dishes and wine.
Very nice experience. Guide was very knowledgeable about the city. Highly recommend, you will learn a lot about the food and it’s significance.
Eden was fantastic! She was a delightful person - she gave not only advice and information on the various foods we tried, but she gave us numerous suggestions for things to do and try during the rest of our stay in Florence.
We chose to do 6 tastings and we were stuffed! The food and the wine were delicious! Our guide, Eden was the best! She had a great personalty! She gave us great advice on places try for the rest of our stay. Not just food and drinks, but places to visit. She was wonderful!.
The tour guide was wonderful, but the food was lacking. We only received 4-5 tastings (depending on how you count). One restaurant was closed, so we went to a different place and received biscottis as the tasting. The kids were still hungry at the end of the tour.
I highly recommend doing a small group or private when it’s a food tour and to do it on the first day. Our guide, Gabriel was great, has been living in Florence for 15 years and knew the smaller, quality, less touristy places to go. Besides the food, our guide gave us a nice highlight of the sites to see and advice to avoid some lines and crowds.
We enjoyed our time on our tour today with Victor. He showed youthful enthusiasm and a unique perspective with food and cultural exposure. He was passionate and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend this food tour. Maria was wonderful! The food was delicious at every stop and she shared history and insight in to Florence life along the way.
We can not say enough good things about Eden! Her kind, genuine nature mixed with her knowledge of Florence and it’s culture, made our day exceptional. Our family enjoyed being with her. She took us to amazing places to sample food and drinks of Florence. She treated us like family. 5 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First of all, this entire night was amazing. We ended up having a 1:1 experience with our guide, Yu, who was incredibly informative and curated a top notch itinerary. Every single thing we tried introduced us to traditional Tuscan dishes and set us up for things we wanted to try for the rest of the trip. Everything was delicious. The wines were also wonderful. We bought a few bottles to drink back at our airbnb. Yu has a fascinating life story and family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time learning about his life in Florence and the history he lives in every day. He was kind enough to give us great recommendations of places to eat for the rest of the time we were there. We highly recommend this tour! So glad we did it our first night there so we could eat like kings the rest of the trip.
Eden was a great guide, showing us a few spots to eat and drink around the city. Authentic food and locations off the beaten tourist path! Absolutely worth the $ and Eden will be a friend the next time we visit Florence!
A lot of food was sampled that we took a lot with us to enjoy later. Guide was very knowledgeable about Florence.
*NOT WORTH THE PRICE, LEFT STILL HUNGRY* The 2 stars is only because our guide Antonina was very sweet and enjoyable to be around, and told us some of the history of the area. We paid for the 10 tastings experience. Looking back I suppose the description of that is left intentionally vague. I expected 10 different places, not a huge amount of food at each but still, 10 different places. We walked around for a while, and then stopped at our first place for some (delicious) meat and cheeses and a glass of wine. We stopped at another place and had two tiny pieces of bread with different things in between them, and another drink. (Wife doesn’t drink alcohol so she had a bottle of water both times). After walking again we stopped at a different place and had more substantial food, again delicious, but we held back each time thinking there would be more food ahead. The final stop (we didn’t quite realize at the time) was for gelato. We were told we had enough left in the budget for 2 flavours each, I said not to worry I had extra money for the budget. Sat down to eat our gelato and then was walked in the direction of a site and it was over. I suppose we did try 10 different things, but it was not what we were expecting and definitely not worth the price. The budget that was included in our booking was 40 euros each. We are Canadian and accidentally paid USD so it came to around 560 dollars. Quite a substantial amount, and we couldve eaten MUCH more food ourselves and still afforded a cheaper tour. It was private, just my wife and I with the guide, but it still was absolutely not worth the price. The description also doesn’t mention a budget at all. After the calculations of the budget and what we paid, the company made over $400 in profit.
Maria was our tour guide and she was phenomenal. I was just expecting some food and a brief tour but she went above and beyond with showing us around, sharing history, and showing us lessor known spots tourists typically miss. This was my first time traveling to Florence and I was a bit overwhelmed with not knowing where to do and what to see but she put all my worries to rest! She even helped me plan out my itinerary while we are here and she was so friendly with my daughter. Can’t recommend enough, she is fantastic at what she does!!
Ana gave a great history overview of Florence as we navigated from food stop to food stop. She even went out of the way (for an unscheduled stop) to take us to the leather school! Highly recommend taking this tour.
Maria took us to various locations which really gave us a feel for living like a local. She was so knowledgeable and kind. We went to a market had some fresh fruit and some Prosecco. By the end of our tour we were very full! Definitely a great experience and I’d do it again!!
Our day with Ana was wonderful. She was warm, informative and introduced us to some great local favorite sports. This was a great introduction to Florence and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a private tour that focuses on food and Florence history.
Ana was wonderful. Very knowledgable, insightful, warm and friendly. We had some delicious local food and wine. We would definitely recommend.
Marco was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly who was full of great information about Florence!
We really enjoyed our time with Ana, who treated us like friends. She showed us around central Florence, shared stories and insights from living there for over 30 years. The tour was around 2.5 hours, and a combination of historical facts and food, so bear in mind, it’s not strictly a food tour, which was ok by us. Overall, we had a really nice time and would recommend it to anyone who wants to spend time with a knowledgeable local. Thank you Ana!
You’d better arrive with an appetite! Giorgio was a wonderful guide. He was not only knowledgeable about the different foods and wines that were offered. He had an extensive knowledge of all of Italy’s various regions and their histories. It didn’t take me long to guess that he was a former history teacher! I would recommend Giorgio and Viator tour company any time! I’ve gone on many tours using them, and have never been disappointed
Fantastic tour, we were able to try some of the cities best things and we were given a history lesson at each stop (and on the walk to each stop passing by historical buildings!). Vera was able to accommodate to my dietary restriction (vegetarian) and communicate with the restaurants for us. It was such a wonderful time eating, chatting, and laughing with Vera!!
Amazing way to get acclimated to the city. Our guide was fun and very informative. Would highly recommend this tour
Had a lovely time with Antonina learning about the food history of Florence and the region of Tuscany.
It was just my husband and I, so it was perfect and intimate. Maria was so knowledgeable about the history of the city, and the top places to eat.
Anna is the best. She knows everything about the city and went out of her way to accommodate us. Tour was fun, informative & delish. It was our dinner after a long day. So much fun!
Mara wax excellent. Very knowledgable and professional. She knew the city very well and all its hidden gems. The food we ate was all delicious.
Elisabetta our tour guide was AMAZING! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and a joy to hang with during our food walking tour. Great food spots and some unexpected history lessons! Highly recommend :)
What a wonderful way to discover Florence - including lesser known areas, taste delicious food and learn about the history of Florence! Ana, our guide was so knowledgeable, energetic and friendly! I highly recommend this tour and Ana!
