E- bikes need an overhaul. We are all riders but these are not that safe... Guide was a nice guy but gave very little information. My wife’s bike took off (spiked) and she fell in traffic.. guide kept going! Scary.

The Palazzo Medici, also called the Palazzo Medici Riccardi after the later family that acquired and expanded it, is a Renaissance palace located in Florence, Italy. It is the seat of the Metropolitan City of Florence and a museum.
The Basilica di San Lorenzo (Basilica of St Lawrence) is one of the largest churches of Florence, Italy, situated at the centre of the city’s main market district, and the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family from Cosimo il Vecchio to Cosimo III.
Santa Maria Novella is a church in Florence, Italy, situated opposite, and lending its name to, the city's main railway station. Chronologically, it is the first great basilica in Florence, and is the city's principal Dominican church.
Florence Cathedral, formally the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, is the cathedral of Florence
Piazza della Repubblica is a city square in Florence, Italy. It was originally the site of the city's forum; then of its old ghetto, which was swept away during the improvement works, or Risanamento, initiated during the brief period when Florence was the capital of a reunited Italy—work that also created the city's avenues and boulevards
We’ll stop at the beautiful Ponte Santa Trinita, the oldest elliptic arch bridge in the world. From here, you’ll enjoy one of the most stunning views of the Arno River and Florence’s skyline, with a perfect perspective of the Ponte Vecchio and the surrounding Renaissance architecture.
The Palazzo Pitti, in English sometimes called the Pitti Palace, is a vast, mainly Renaissance, palace in Florence, Italy. It is situated on the south side of the River Arno, a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio.
Piazzale Michelangelo (Michelangelo Square) is a square with a panoramic view of Florence, Italy, located in the Oltrarno district of the city.

This was an okay experience. Just okay. Our guide seemed to have an extreme dislike of tourists, made evident by his frequent comments that tourism has ruined Florence. Why work for a tourism company, then? In his defense, he seemed very knowledgeable of the history of Florence. However, he was very quiet and monotone. He did not smile once, nor inject any sort of personality into his explanations. Thus, making the tour very boring and the history very hard to engage with. We did a similar e bike tour in Rome and felt much safer and taken care of than we did during this tour. The guides for this Florence tour didnt even offer helmets. The highlight of the tour was the viewpoint at the end.
I have done cycle tours in many cities in the world and have never had to stop after a few mins and bring bike back , Florence was so crowded and almost impossible to cycle made worse by the fact there was a marathon on , tour should have been cancelled very disappointing
As expected, getting through crowds in central Florence was a challenge - having to go very slowly. Bikes had no 'throttle' for setting off, so good control of pedals was needed to avoid jerky start. It was great to get outside the crowded part of Florence, up to Piazzale Michelangelo. Tour guide was not easy to hear on headphones.
Was a great way to see the city and loved the info provided on the history and locals throughout the tour.
Exceptional had lot of fun. Great tour guide. Learnt a lot about florence yaniel our tour guide was awesome
When the name is "Electric Bike City Tour" one would HOPE that the bikes worked well. Nope. A handful of issues along the way seemed like we had to rush way too much. Do better guys. Service the bikes regularly then show your customers how to operate the bikes. Enough griping. We saw a lot of the city that we might not have seen otherwise. Carry on!
The group was way too large for Florence very concerned with safety. We lost one of our group members because it was so large. The bikes were badly maintained very crappy. All the bikes need to be replaced and they should only have a limit of 6 to 8 writers group members per tour.
Great experience and wonderful way to see the highlights of Florence in a fun way……………………………………………..
Great experience, we saw most of Florence and had an extensive tour of the city and its major sights. The only issue was that the tour earpiece would cut in and out depending on our proximity to the tour guide. But the stops were helpful and the view from the hill was fantastic. Would recommend!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and pointed out a lot of great places. We rode up to one of the highest points in the city and the view was spectacular. We would definitely do this again.
hilarious e bike through Florence Entirely enjoying it with husband and 3 teens who rated it high compared with previous walking tours Andrea our guide was great safety conscious and entertaining Molto grazie Andrea
We are regular cyclists but this tour really challenged us. Firstly the ebikes are not in good condition. Some are missing proper kickstands, batteries were not all fully charged, and we had mechanical issues like a dropped chain to deal with. Secondly the tour guide struggled to keep the - too large - group together in a safe formation, with some of the group disregarding requests to stay in a particular order/ to ride at certain speeds, and the tour guide was inconsistent regarding road rules, sometimes stopping at red lights and sometimes sailing straight thru them. Finally, the tour locations are so busy, it is very difficult to cycle safely around the city, which really compromises how much you can relax and enjoy the tour. All these issues aside, we are still glad we did a cycle tour, as we did get to see sights we wouldn't otherwise have reached, particularly the Michelangelo viewpoint. Just be prepared for the challenges the trip will present.
Fat tyre bikes Water provided but had to ask Good route taking you up to Michelangelo statue Squeaky brakes though
The electric bikes where perfect! Nice way to see the city with a little breeze at your face. If you are tired of walking definitely try this out!
Yaniel was an excellent guide. The bikes seemed in great condition and were comfortable, easy to navigate around town (using the bell!) despite the crowds, and powerful enough to easily get us up a winding green shady path to a wonderful viewing point to finish the tour. We got to see Florence’s major sights and were told some very interesting facts about them along the way, and our guide took some great photos of us. The streets are uneven in places so occasionally it can be a bit of a bumpy ride, but that’s part of the fun. I wouldn’t recommend the tour if you are a not a competent bike rider, you need to weave around pedestrians. Our group was two only couples and it was a sunny May afternoon, lucky on both counts. Very glad we did this tour.
Really fun tour, taking in all of the main sites, including Piazzale Michaelangelo. Edoardo was very knowledgeable and gave good direction on the bike. Would recommend as a great way to see the city and get some fresh air.
Unfortunately, an experience like this really depends on the guide; and in our case, that’s what let it down. The tour itself had great potential. We were given earpieces and rode through beautiful parts of Florence, stopping at key points for commentary. However, everything was delivered in a flat, monotone voice with no enthusiasm or effort to engage the group (3 adults and 3 teenage boys). Even the adults found themselves zoning out. In a city as incredible as Florence, it shouldn’t be difficult to bring the history and surroundings to life - but sadly, that just didn’t happen. Things took a further turn towards the end when two members of the group were left behind in the crowds. Despite waiting at a red light for several minutes, the guide then rode on without noticing. Only after I called out did he go back to find them. Instead of acknowledging the mistake to the two members of the group, he responded with sarcasm to them - loudly counting “one, two, three, four, five, six… are we all here?” at every junction on the way back. It created a really uncomfortable atmosphere, and even my 11-year-old commented that the guide had ruined the experience for everyone. I tried to raise this calmly back at the office, but the guide was dismissive and defensive, lying and insisting he had been watching and justifying his rude behaviour. To be fair, the manager was lovely; she apologised and kindly offered us an alternative tour, which we declined due to time constraints, and even gave my son a small toy car as a gesture. Overall, for over £100 for one adult and one child, this felt like poor value. With so many options available in Florence, I’d recommend booking elsewhere to avoid the risk. When you may only visit once, you want the experience to be memorable for the right reasons.
Do you want to ride a poorly maintained bike around a beautiful city with an indifferent guide? Then this tour is for you!!! This tour was so poor it became comical. We joked with the other guests and it actually brought us all together. Still not worth it. Don’t waste your time or money.
It was very nice and productive experience I enjoyed the ride , the guide was super nice and helpful and have very good information
Our tour guide Rebecca was wonderful. She shared lots of history about this beautiful city, which she was very passionate about. Rebecca was also very compassionate towards our family and very safety conscious too.
You need to be an experienced e-bike rider. There was limited to no instruction on using the features of the bike. The bikes were older and cumbersome. There was a a lot of pedestrian congestion which made it difficult to maneuver. We also went on a number of streets that were cobblestone which made for a very bumpy ride that left us all very sore at the end of the ride. The guide’s audio died so we feel like we didn't get the full experience. View from the top was amazing but this tour should be booked with caution.
Our guide was great! Enjoyed learning from her. It was a cool experience to see the sites and city from the bike. Would recommend!
Rebecca was a great tour guide. Got to see a lot of the city. Tour was not too long or too short. Ended out with beautiful view of whole city.
As others have mentioned, Florence is not the place to be doing a bike tour. After almost colliding with pedestrians, other cyclists and dodging traffic, we stopped and walked our bikes back to the starting point. It was just too stressful and couldn’t absorb the commentary since I was terrified of running into to someone. I’ve done tours in other major cities and have never felt so unsafe. Might be worth having a smaller tour on the Oltrarno side of the river to go up to the hill for the view.
Great way to get some exercise while learning about Florence. The car traffic was a little "dodgy" at times, but Rebecca did a great job providing instructions and keeping everyone in the group together.
This was a fabulous tour and Marco the guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and made it enjoyable for me and my children. A great family event to do.
The tour was really nice. Our guide was really nice and took a lot of pictures of us. It was just my mom and I on the tour so we got lucky. The bikes were great. Our favorite part was definitely going up the hill and seeing the view of the city from up there.
started late, no helmets, listen devices not working, a child fell twice, time ran over because it started late, English tour in multi languages, guide's English extremely hard to understand
This tour took us on busy main roads and the guide raced ahead with little regard for the members in the group. We were lucky to be alive at the end and I’m a moderately experienced rider. The audio quality was poor, and we were so busy trying to navigate the people and roads that there was little time to learn about the history. The guide did stop a few times at some main sites and take photos of us, so that was a positive.
Great experience for the price and guide was excellent!!! The agency staff could have been friendlier and honestly never greeted us with even a “hello”. Likely because no one else signed up for our time slot and they still had to honor the tour.
We had a really good time and Rebecca was a great guide. We saw so many sights, and to do it while navigating the streets of Florence made it an even greater learning experience. Thanks for an awesome tour.
Great to get out of the centre of the city and to see some things not on the tourist map. History great to hear and understand.
Pros: - Storefront where tour starts is easy to find. - Guide was very knowledgeable and told us some interesting lesser known facts about Florence. - Tour ended up being a private tour since nobody else showed up - Saw a variety of places which you would not have been able to see by walking only Cons: - Florence is not a very bike friendly city. We were sharing the roads with cars and scooters with no bike lane. There are not clear traffic laws, which was scary at times. The cobblestones are bumpy and uneven. - Was not informed of a weight limit and my husband is 6 ft 4 inches tall and 240 pounds. His seat kept falling down and this made it hard for him to pedal. The guide said it was due to my husband’s size, but I did not see a weight limit in the booking. - No helmets were provided or offered as an option. - The e-bikes are very heavy. They are difficult to maneuver and to start/stop quickly. A regular bike would have been much easier to use, which the shop did have. - The guide did not frequently check if we were close behind, so we got separated a few times. I imagine that a larger group would be separated even more easily. - the audio was very staticky and difficult to hear - No public toilet at the store front and no toilet stops along the route.
We are a group of 4 from the US and found our tour guide, Andrea, to be friendly but not very attentive to our needs. He also had a thick accent and sometimes wasn’t able to answer our questions because of the language barrier. After making sure our headsets worked the basic mechanics of the e-bikes, he took off like a flash without making sure our bikes fit/worked, offering us helmets or telling us where we were going. The first part of the ride was rather harrowing as we had to navigate through heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic on very heavy bikes that were hard to maneuver and sometimes seemed to have a mind of their own. All the while, Andrea was pointing out things along the route as we were passing them, over a microphone that was very staticky. When we did stop, he assumed we knew more about Italian history than we did, so much of the information he provided went over our heads. No visuals were used to help us understand what we were looking at. The best part of the tour was after ascending a long, steep hill, we arrived to a stunning panoramic view of Florence. Unfortunately, not much time was allowed for us to explore the other attractions in the area including waterfalls and several statues/historic markers. We have been on many guided bike tours around the world and this one was one of the very few that left us feeling that we would have been better wandering around the city brother on our own or as part of a guided walking tour.
Biking through the city was challenging as we dodged the crowds. Views outside the city were stunning however. Good sampling of key Florence sites. Great excursion for avid, mature bikers.
This was such a wonderful innovative way to see the city and with the most wonderful guide. Luigi was informative, funny, interesting and welcoming. I loved the way we were given little headphones to hear him as we rode along and stopped at different points, so that he didn’t have to shout and we didn’t miss a thing. The electric bikes took a moment to get used to but once underway they were great. Luigi advised us when to change the gears to make going up hill effortless. The view from the top of the hill was breathtaking. Cycling around the city was a wonderful way to experience it without being locked away on a tour bus. And we could explore the little back streets as well as the main tourist stops.
Our electric bike tour in Florence was a major letdown, even though the guide was fantastic. The group was far too large (over 15 people), and shockingly, they allowed a 12-year-old child to join. The child fell twice and repeatedly slowed the group down, turning a 2-hour tour into a frustrating 2.5-hour ordeal. The operator should enforce a minimum age of 14 and limit groups to 10 people max. The guide did their best, but poor planning ruined what could have been a great experience.
Way too much talking by the guide. The overall historical stories would have been enough, but to ride a short distance and then stand in the sun while the guide was in the shade for 15 minutes on at least 3 stops was unacceptable. He also never looked back to check on the group. A family of 6 lagged behind because the kids were slower. The guide continued at 20 Kmh. The bikes were old and not great. Toward the end, he just raced back. I would not recommend this company at all.
The tour leader was very informative with interesting information about the city and certain past residents. Be prepared for some awkward traffic situations in the narrow streets. We were trapped behind a bus and were anxious about losing sight of the group at 1 point, especially as we rarely notced the leader looking back to check we were still there. If you are only accustomed to quiet country lanes this tour may be somewhat hairy and you might feel safer if you stay directly behind the leader, not at the back of the group. The early evening view overlooking Florence, the river Arno and Ponte Viechio was well worth the trip. My partner found the green bikes were very comfortable for the rough medieaval roads. However, at 5'1", I needed to have a citybike. If you dislike the idea of 2+hrs over incredibly rough surfaces on a narrow tyred less well-suspensionsed bike, be prepared to sit with the handlebars of the green bikes above your shoulder height. A worthwhile interesting trip, with added adrenalin boosters!.
The tour was very heavy on history and dates. Was more of a history lesson than a tour to acquaint ourselves with the city. We asked partially thru that he not speak so much about history and dates but that lasted 5 minutes. He spoke non stop the full 2 hours but everyone had unplugged our buds for some quiet time. The guide was very polite and kind. The bikes were great.
Enjoyed the tour, have done lots of e-bike tours before but don’t think these bikes are not suitable for going through the city. They have too much propulsion and so u are constantly on the brakes when at low speed - found them tricky when going through VERY busy pedestrian areas. Also no helmet given, and we forgot to ask. Guide was good and was great to see so much of the city.
Our guide, Dimitri, was wonderful! Our group was large for conditions (very crowded in city due to holiday), but he was attentive to the needs of the group and extremely knowledgeable. The view from Piazzalo Michelangelo is not to be missed. Bikes were easily managed. We would highly recommend this tour.
This is a really fun way to explore Florence and learn its history! The e bikes are a lot of fun and you get to see sites and neighborhoods you probably wouldn't just walk to. We were initially a little intimidated by the traffic, but our guide knew the quieter streets to take so we were never nervous. Our guide was very knowledgable about the area's history, and pointed out a lot of interesting stories and facts. This is a great tour to cover a lot of ground and rest your walking feet.
A great tour of Florence, with spectacular views of the city. Being on the electric bike is a great feature, particularly with cycling up to the viewpoint. Our tour guide, Dimi, was very enthusiastic, friendly, and had incredible knowledge of the city and its history.
Amazing very beautiful the bikes are fantastic. Florence is wonderful . Beautiful day . Florence and its streetare wonderfull
Tour guide was not available so Tour was canceled. We waited 30mins before calling it off. We had to fight for the refund.
Fantastic way to see all the significant sights at a glance. Bikes so easy to use, tour guide very knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing
Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide, Edoardo. I strongly recommend this tour as a first overview of Florence.
Overall, less than average experience. Granted when we went, it was drizzling a bit, and a better weather could have resulted in slightly better experience. However, in my opinion, the tour can be improved a lot more for a better customer experience. - The tour guide and the owner could have been courteous and friendly. - when we asked questions, our tour guide would get annoyed with us. - if we fall behind due to pedestrians, our guide gave us a frustrated look. - no other instructions or plan was provided. Just showed us how to use an ebike but did not explain any rules and regulations, what to expect, traffic, what areas are we going to be covering. - gave us helmets only when we asked. - gave us very minimal information on historical places that we passed. Pros: I will admit, I loved that my husband and I got to e-bike to the other side of the Arno river, where we got a chance to walk around and take pictures. Towards the end, the tour guide smiled and said bye, even though that was the only time he smiled. Luckily, it was only my husband and I on this tour, so we got a small tour experience.
