Easily found outside prior to the tour. We skipped the line to enter directly into the cathedral where our guide educated us on the building and artwork. Then came the dome climb. We are 67/69 in relatively good health and ok shape. The climb up was slow and methodical with a few times to pause to catch our breath and took just under 30 minutes. The stairs are steep and often winding with few handrails though it is easy to maintain your balance by holding on to the wall. We walked slowly around the balcony level and then the cupola level taking pictures before descending in 15 minutes. Overall trip was 55 minutes. This was a great experience!

Awesome work of art. Great if you book early get in with tour guide but only stay with them for 30 minutes rest of time on your own. Climb isn't fir those not physically fit or claustrapobic. If able to do the climb is well worth it with amazing views 360°.
Perfect tour if you’re looking for a brief but knowledge guide & over view of the Duomo. My initial ticket cancelled my dome climb and this one saved the day! A little pricey, but definitely worth it. Didn’t wait in any line. Definitely make sure you’re in good shape for the climb, so worth it
The side entrance and quiet morning in the cathedral was lovely. The guide was not very engaging which was too bad.
This tour is completely worth it. You don’t have to wait in line, you get access to exclusive areas of the church, and the explanations are fascinating. Also, your tickets work as skip the line tickets for up to 3 days which is awesome!
Terrific experience!! Very unique! Only disappointment was the meeting location was a bit confusing and we almost missed the tour.
We had a fantastic experience! We were able to enter the cathedral with our guide 15 minutes before it opened to the public, and she gave a wonderful tour of the cathedral and dome. The climb was great and we were able to do it at our own pace! We loved that the baptistry, museum, and clock tower were included as well within 72 hours of our initial tour.
Fabulous. So worth the climb to see the views. I think we may have been the last group of the day so although I had time to see the views, just as I thought I’d sit for another 10 mins to soak it all in, we were advised we had to begin going back down. Something to bear in mind.
Skip the line is the way to go for these popular tourists attractions. Our guide provided basic historical information about what we were looking at (paintings, frescos, etc.) which made the experience better.
It was very easy to locate the meetup spot. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and overall just very friendly.
Let's start off by saying, that the time my wife and I chose to do the tour was the perfect time(early morning) because we got the opportunity to enter the church before anyone else. So beautiful inside! our tour guide gave us information for about 30 minutes and sent us on our workout to climb up to the top of the dome. Great experience. Not as many steps as the St Peters Dome. Very manageable as long as you pace yourself. Great tour all together.
Our tour guide was informative and friendly. We had the first tour of the morning booked and were lucky enough to have about 10-15 minutes inside before the hoards started coming through. Such an amazing experience! It was particularly great to be able to skip the line for the Duomo climb. The climb is 463 steep steps and when you get half way and think you’re done you’ve still got a bit to go. If you suffer at all from claustrophobia I would not advise the climb. I am 56 years old and relatively unfit and still managed the climb. I felt hot and tired by the time I got to the top but all of the steps were 100% worth any discomfort to see all of Florence from the highest point. Highly recommend this tour! Loved it!
When my train was delayed almost an hour, putting me 10 minutes late to the tour, the tour provider went above and beyond to ensure that I didn’t miss the climb to the top, having someone stand outside to wait for me to arrive. I’m very grateful I didn’t miss out on the experience due to their efforts.
This is a short tour (less than 30 minutes) followed by a climb to the top of the duomo. The tour was brief but informative and the views at the various levels were incredible. The ticket gives you access to the museum and other areas for 3 days.
Wow, I had no idea this would be such a fascinating experience. The view from the top of the dome was, of course, stunning. The climb was just the exercise we needed. But the information on the architectural feat that is the Brunelleschi Dome was absolutely amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about what makes this place so special. Our guide was excellent to understand. We booked an early slot in the day so the enclosed staircase was not too hot and we missed the very, very long queue at the main door. We also had the cathedral all to ourselves at the beginning of our tour. The fresco of the dome is stunning. The ticket also includes entry to the museum ( a building very near the cathedral) and this was well worth exploring too for the amazing exhibits and the welcome air conditioning. The Bell tower was also included and if you are keen on the extra exercise and a photo of the Dome from a high spot nearby, then why not? However the view from the Dome is probably enough.
This climb is not for the weak- especially in the summer heat. I'm very glad we did it, and the views are amazing- but be prepared for VERY narrow passages, steep climbs, and limited breathing room. It was worth it in the end, but had I been less in shape I don't think I'd have enjoyed it very much.
Book the earliest tour and you’ll be inside with no other visitors. Start working out before you come.
We were the very first group to enter and enjoyed having the place to ourselves for about 15 minutes. We were able to climb to the top of the Duomo and have a few minutes to enjoy the view before it started getting crowded. Book the first tour of the morning. You won’t regret it.
It is advertised as 150 per ticket but they add an additional processing fee. So for 2 tickets I paid $350 which is over priced.
Climbing the dome was fun and the view of Florence was beautiful. The guided part of the tour did not add much value. I was disappointed that the exterior of the cathedral wasn’t covered at all. I travel a lot, and usually enjoy my tours. I don’t think this one was worth the money.
Good historical discussion of the Duomo to kick off the tour. Then the climb to the top of the dome which was absolutely amazing, if a bit hair-raising due to the steep, narrow winding stairs (463 up and 463 down). I didn’t do the bell tower after the dome—my knees had had enough— or the museum since it was a few blocks away. But the Duomo tour and dome climb was well worth it.
Definitely worth getting skip the line access!! It saved us a lot of time standing in line. We would have missed many of the details of the Duomo without our guide. Highly recommend!
I forgot to ask our guide her name, but she brought an incredible depth of knowledge about the Duomo. Her unique intersection of expertise in architecture, art history, and Florentine culture added so much to the experience. I only wish we’d had more time to learn about the structure and its history, though the dome climb itself is a fairly long process. Pro tip: maybe skip cardio the day before.
The tour itself was very short we walked to one area in the cathedral and stood there and then it was over. The climb was tough for me and my partner (out of shape in our 50's) but the kids enjoyed it. The view was amazing - you get 15 min at the top to look around. Again, the skip the lines is what gives the value. Ideally this would be a great value if you used the ticket to explore the other museums and buildings but we didn't have the time.
0 - because we could not take the tour because the voucher was not in the app. For the record, a phone call was placed for this issue a week prior because NONE OF THE TOURS WERE IN THE APP! All Tours showed up in the app after this missed tour occurrence.
We couldn't find the starting location for this tour, very frustrating, missed it all together.
We booked this tour two days before our trip as something else fell through. It was definitely worth it! It was easy to find the group outside of the cathedral and the skip the line feature was fantastic as the regular line wrapped around the building. We opted for the dome climb, which was also very interesting and beautiful once we got to the top. I would definitely recommend it!
They did not meet us at meeting point we were there before the meeting time. I emailed them just asking to go the next day they said no
We went to the top of the dome. From outside saw a spectacular view of the city!
We had an amazing tour with Enrico! Over our vacation in Italy we had 6+ tour guides and by far Enrico was the best. As a native Venetian he has deep knowledge of the history and culture of the region, and communicated information in an interesting yet concise way - could not have been a better experience. Highly recommend.
We loved the tour of the duomo, but decided to not climb the steps. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and added a lot to the tour.
Raphael was extremely informative and very professional. It was clear from the start of the tour that he knew history in-depth. We were treated with many tidbits of interesting information thanks to his knowledge and insight. He answered our many questions with a lot of detail. After the tour he texted us additional information about what else we could see. He has a very engaging and friendly personality that made us feel like we were in good hands. As we walked he also pointed out ideas about foods to try. We took him up on his recommendations and we were glad that we did! We highly recommend him!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about this tour. I read previous reviews about skipping the line and that was my main concern traveling with 2 children under 3. We walked right in the cathedral via private door and had a brief tour from a very knowledgeable guide. She walked us from the back of the cathedral to the dome explaining key points. Then she escorted us to a staircase where we could start the climb. There was no one else in line for the climb and my husband and I went right up. On the way down, I counted maybe 200 people going up to the dome and realized we had a pretty unique experience not having to wait in the dome climb line either! Only 2 of the 6 of us made the climb and it was still worth it just to skip the cathedral line and walk have a private tour.
Very knowledgeable and patient tour guide. We learned so much history. It was so worth the money for the education, experience and to skip the lines!
Worth the skip the line! Views are worth the climb! Guide was great and explained the building basics of the dome.
Climbing to the top of the Duomo was a challenging, but neat experience. I felt like our actual tour of the church was very rushed, and it was hard to hear our guide at times because she wasn’t using a headset. We also didn’t really get a chance to explore the church when she wasn’t using done talking, as we were led right to the steps to start the climb. When you exit the climb, you exit the church, so we would have had to wait in line to get back in.
Not worth the money. Guide was difficult to understand. Duomo unimpressive and the guide just left when we started the difficult climb to the dome.
We took the tour that included climbing to the top. Climbing to the top was incredible and this part of the experience was 5/5 stars for sure! My regret w this tour was that we only got a short guided tour and then were taken to the stairs. After climbing the stairs we were not allowed into the cathedral to see more it. I wonder if the other tours provided a more complete tour of the cathedral. I was disappointed by how little I actually saw of the cathedral and that is why my overall number of stars is lit for this particular tour.
I was skeptical but it was on time, the guide was great. It was a manageable group, informative but not too much. The climb to the dome was a bit more challenging than anticipated but worth the effort!
There are alot of steps however it is worth it when you get to the top and see the beautiful views of Florence.
Really good but feedback for organisers: Need to state where meeting point is. Be consistent on dress code. On my guided tour I was asked to change the blouse I was wearing before going into the Duomo as it was felt it didn’t sufficiently cover my shoulders. Others in there were in strappy tops and shorts. If you are claustrophobic don’t go into the dome.Steps leading up there extremely narrow with lots of people. Take lots of water!
Nice general tour of the cathedral with some history. Next the climb. Only 400 something steps 😅. Nice stop at the balustrade area near the top of the dome, perfect for seeing the painting and the old windows up close. If you are afraid of heights a bit challenging. But the view from the top is breathtaking. 👍👍
This was a 30-45 minute guided tour of the Duomo. Our guide was informative and answered all our questions. If you dare attempt to climb the steps to the top of the Duomo, the view is amazing.
Just incredible place! Our guide did a great job of touring and giving us information about Duomo. Since we skipped the line, we initially had more privacy and additional time to spend inside. Amazing architecture and art! Be ready for crowds outside!!!!
Great tour guide. Climbing to the dome terrace was a thrill. Great views. Priority entrance was worth everything
Highly recommend doing the first tour. Very small group. The group coming up when we were going down was well over 50 people.
Our tour guide was well spoken, engaging, professional and knowledgeable. It was a huge advantage to spend time with her to learn about the Duomo and then to enjoy the experience of climbing the dome. If you want to visit the Duomo, this “Skip the Line” tour is definitely the way to go!!!
Beautiful structure and info was valuable. The tour host spoke a bit low so it was difficult to hear everything. Ker knowledge was great, however. The climb to the dome was epic’
Good informational tour! Informational tour was about 30mins. A great way to skip the lines as well! The dome climb was great as well!
We were the first tour of the day and were in the church alone. Lovely! The guided tour itself was only 30 min but very informative! Then the climb after was so fun. My son in law carried his 1 yr old in a sling and my son carried the 2 yr old up and down. We all made it including my pregnant daughter. We were ages 1-70 yrs old.
