I loved the guided tour with Leonardo! He told us very interesting things and it was a great combination with audioguide. 10/10 experience

Itinerary
The Duomo square offers a breathtaking view, especially at sunset, when the sun's rays 'light up' the polychrome marble of the buildings that form the religious complex of the city: the Baptistery, the Cathedral and Giotto's Bell Tower. In fact the chromatic homogeneity (green, white and red) beautifully harmonizes a stylistic variety.
The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, located in Florence, is one of the most famous masterpieces of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Its construction began in 1296, designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, and was completed in 1436 with the majestic dome by Filippo Brunelleschi, a remarkable engineering innovation. Characterized by a façade of white, green, and pink marble, the cathedral is renowned for its impressive size and intricate decorative details. The Campanile of Giotto, next to the church, and the Baptistery of St. John, with the famous Gates of Paradise by Lorenzo Ghiberti, complete the magnificent complex. The interior, relatively sober compared to the exterior, houses artworks by artists such as Paolo Uccello and Donatello. The dome, with its famous frescoes of the Last Judgment by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari, dominates Florence's skyline and remains one of the most admired architectural wonders in the world.
The tour will take us to the museum of "Opera del Duomo" where you will admire up close works of high value from the artistic heritage of the religious complex; to be noted, along with others, "La Pietà" by Michelangelo. Please keep in mind that the Museum is closed on the first Tuesday of every month
With our Certified Guide you will have the opportunity to admire, inside, the stunning Byzantine mosaics of the vault while, outside, the masterpiece by Lorenzo Ghiberti, the east door of the Baptistery, commonly called 'the Gate of Paradise'. Please keep in mind that the Mosaics of the Baptistery are undergoing restoration
Giotto's Bell Tower in Florence is a stunning example of Gothic architecture, standing next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Designed by Giotto di Bondone in 1334, it was completed in 1359 by Andrea Pisano and Francesco Talenti. The 84-meter-tall tower is decorated with white, green, and pink marble, harmonizing with the cathedral's façade. It features intricate geometric patterns, sculptural reliefs, and stunning statues, many of which are now preserved in the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo. Visitors can climb its 414 steps to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Florence, making it one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Visit Giotto's Bell Tower (if option is selected) Customers are kindly informed that Giotto’s Bell Tower will remain closed from November 10th to 14th.

Fabrizio our guide was excellent- spoke perfect english , his knowledge of his topics- the Duomo, Baptistery and museum were brilliant- he explained the various aspects of the tour succinctly and in sufficient depth to keep it interesting, not too little info and not too much , he had a few stories and takes to tell which kept one focused , he also did not rush the tour which ensured we could take pictures and get questions answered and after around 2 1/2 hours the tour ended. Most enjoyable and highly recommended.
Natalia was excellent. Knowledgeable, curious about our questions, very helpful. We learned a lot. Well worth it! Will come back
We enjoyed our tour very much of the Duomo.
Eva was great! A native of Florence, she is VERY knowledgeable, friendly, funny and down to earth. It was more of a chat rather than non-stop talking like most guides do. She was great with my 14-year old daughter as well as her 68 year-old dad, me!
Knowledgeable guide gave us a thorough tour. I would skip the bell tower climb if I went again. The wire mesh makes it difficult to get any good photos. Looks to be the same for the dome climb as well. There was some confusion over the admission lines, but our guide handled it for us.
Wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended. The museum itself holds many treasures that can easily be overlooked without a good guide.
Absolutely wonderful! Natalia was informative and attentive. It was time well spent We would recommend this tour
My wife and I had an excellent experience on the Florence Duomo Complex Private Guided Tour with our guide, Guya. She demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge about the history, architecture, and cultural significance of the Duomo complex, making the entire visit both insightful and engaging. Guya was not only highly knowledgeable but also very friendly and personable. She communicated clearly, answered all our questions with precision, and kept us fully engaged throughout the tour. We highly recommend this tour, especially with Guya as your guide—it truly elevates the experience of visiting one of Florence’s most iconic landmarks.
Manuela was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. She was incredibly informative, very knowledgeable about the tour, and answered all of our questions with such patience and detail. She never rushed us and really took her time to ensure we understood everything. On top of that, she was so warm and friendly—it truly felt like we were exploring with someone who genuinely loves what she does. Highly recommend her!”
Our tour guide was very informative and interesting. The tour was was worth the money. This is the tour to take in Florence.
Yaniel and Ami (sp?) were fantastic! So knowledgeable and nice. We had a fantastic experience with them and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!
Unfortunately this tour did not work out for us. Once our guide Sylvia arrived - she was 10 minutes late - she was accommodating to helping us check our backpack & find a toilet. After that, I was not impressed with crowd or long line control. There was no “skip the line” with a private tour guide to get into see the Duomo and the line was very long. We ended up going to the Bell Tower first, then the museum. The Baptistry was under construction so nothing to really see via the main sight. Upon returning to the Duomo line - it continued to be long. Sylvia told us out tickets are good for 3 days so we decided to call it done & visit on our own. Nothing bad to say about our guide - just the entire process of getting in & touring was not easy or pleasant. There are other smaller museums & collections to view. Go enjoy them
Great take - Had a great guide. On the negative side 1) Email sent us pre-tour on a wild goose chase to pick up tickets (wasn’t necessary because guide had them). 2) Assumed we were getting “skip line tix” which were faster than regular tix but still 45 minute wait…
The Duomo area is extremely crowded. Doing a private tour is the best way to see the church and baptistry. Our guide Natalia was fantastic. She knows exactly how to get you through the complex, the places to highlight and is passionate about sharing her knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour as the best way to tour the Duomo complex and would highly recommend Natalia.
Very informative and fun. Our guide was friendly and patient in answering our questions. Will definitely recommend !
Mike was very informative and a great guide. He kept a great pace and answered all of our questions.
One of the best tours we did here. Our guide was amazing and easy to understand. We went to the top of the dome. Worth the thigh burning climb! However keep in mind you only have a limited time to climb to top get pics and get down. I loved seeing the paintings up close and learning how they worked on it.
It was great to have a personalized tour of this special duomo--there's so much you would miss without an expert to point out the highlights, especially the historical and artistic contexts and the way this duomo is different from many others. The walk to the top of the dome was icing on the cake.
This was a fantastic tour. Every stop was beautiful and awe inspiring. Our guide, Natalia, was friendly, very well informed, and timed everything perfectly. Highly Recommend.
I did the beat the line tour which is definitely worth the money. The line was several hundred metres long. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Climbing to the top of the dome was the highlight of the tour. The view is amazing. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
Great experience! Stephan was a great guide and was very thorough with what he showed us. He was at the meeting point waiting for us and very helpful and polite when we had to check a backpack. He knew what he was talking about and helped us see special details of the art in the Opera. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour was absolutely fantastic! Everything was on time and nicely paced. The tour guide was very knowledgable and she gave us great lessons about history, culture and religion during the tour, which we found fascinating to learn. They arranged the tickets ahead of time, and we do not need to worry about anything just showing up, which is convenient and helpful, especially if during peak seasons. My husband and I very much appreciated the work and effort put into the design of the tour. Climbing the dome was optional but definitely worth it, to have an overview of the city.
Once we were done with the 463 steps, we got to see some incredible things. We also learned quite a lot!!
Wehad the absolute best time with Sarah M! We were running a few minutes late and she did not mind at all, she was gracious, warm and kind! My mom was in a wheelchair and she was very helpful and even met us at our hotel! Her knowledge of the Duomo was both interesting and educational! She spoke very good English and was very patient! We loved our time spent with her and it was really worth the money!
Natalie was our fantastic tour guide. She met us at our hotel and gave us great history of Florence then toured the Duomo . We chose to climb to the top of Dome and it was memorable. Her knowledge of Duomo was fantastic we learned so much. Highly recommend this private tour
Natalia did a wonderful job. She was interesting and knowledgeable. We will look for her again if we return.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting! It was totally worth having a private tour! She knew how to navigate through the crowds and get the best spots for us. It was our best private tour!
Natalie was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable as well as informative. We really appreciate her adapting the tour to our particular interests.
This was a great experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and demonstrated a genuine passion for both history and architecture. Without him, it would have been difficult to navigate the lines and fully appreciate this magnificent structure.
Great tour! Knowledge guide. Brought history to life and really showed the influence of each artist on the history of each structure.
Sandro’s explication of Michelangelo’s Nicodemus was an art history class in itself. And it was obvious that Sandro, steeped in art history was prepared to answer our questions, some of which were quite arcane.
The cupola, Baptistry, and museum are, in and of themselves, stunning and worth every Euro. What made them even more spectacular however, was the context and history provided by our guide, Eva. Her vast knowledge of the history of the region coupled with her commentary on the symbolism behind the art made this less of a tour and more of an experience. I highly recommend booking a private tour with Accord.
Our guide did not add much to our experience. She had a lot of info to share, but it was recited rote, and her accent was extremely difficult to understand - Eastern European? I love history, art, culture... but I was bored by her presentation.
Good our tour guide showed us the most beautiful and knowledgeable Florence. She gave us what we need to know about the cupola of duoma. We are glad to have her with us.
There is no way you can go to the Duomo with out this tour. The infomation made everything fall into place. Our guide was great, highly recommend.
Our guide Marco was an architect and was a fantastic source of information throughout the tour. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone. The personal attention and the convenience are well worth the cost.
My guide was awesome! Her English was excellent and she was very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable in asking questions and explained everything very well.
Victoria was a great guide, very knowledgeable and a good sense of humour. Four of us made it really special with fond memories of a Duomo trip with a difference.
Our guide was spectacular! Natalia was awesome! Ask for her!! The 3 hour tour was perfect, add the extra walk up the dome.
Georgia was an excellent guide. Very well informed and extremely knowledgeable about the Duomo, Italian history, and the history of the building of the cathedral. I would highly recommend.
Amazing experience with an amazing and helpful guide. Fabrizio's was so kind to take us through all the important corners of the duomo and explained the history behind building the duomo in a very interesting way. Highly recommended.
The Guide was tired and with a lasst Attitude. I expected more for a private Tour. In the DUOMO she said: it’s the final judgment. That’s it. Was boring the experience with her.
A terrific experience with this tour. Skip-the-line is the only way to go in Florence during such a busy tourist time. Our guide was informative, personable, and entertaining. The Duomo museum we visited was the highlight. The Duomo itself is definitely a more impressive sight from the outside. We loved it!
Our guide Eva was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. She climbed with us all the way to the top too!
Fabrizio was excellent. We enjoyed our tour very much. The history and sights were amazing. We highly recommend
The Duomo and Baptistry were stunning. However our guide struggles a bit with English and compared to other tour guides we’ve had she was lacking in knowledge and her ability to help us understand what we were seeing. She seemed flustered when she picked us up and quite distracted throughout the tour.
Our guide was knowledgeable but didn’t seem to enjoy what he was doing much. Lots of things to see and enjoy but it could have been a better experience especially since our group was such a small number of 4.
Let me say first that our guide Marcello was top notch! Our tour, not so much. Our tour was to start at 2. We were there at 1:45. Our guide met us but did not have our tickets. He asked us to wait. We did. After 30 minutes we called the tour operator and was told our guide was heading back. Finally our tour started at 2:40. Our duomo climb was scheduled by them at 3:45 so our 3 hour tour turned in to 70 minutes. No offer of a partial refund. No apology or explanation from operator. Marcello was a pleasure but I feel ripped off.
It was worth the money to have a private tour when you really want to be able to ask questions and take the time to get an understanding of the culture and history behind the Duomo Complex. Our guide did a wonderful job!
