Guided tour very good in Duomo. Lasted about 45mins and gave all the information needed. Would do it again.

Scam alert! We paid €40 and just got a normal Giotto pass entrance ticket that you can buy yourself for €20. There is no skip the line. Actually it’s even worse because next to the lines for the cathedral and Bell tower we also had to wait for the operator to get our ticket. Advise: get Giotto pass on official website. That allows you to enter the cathedral through side entrance, with shorter line than the free entrance.
The staff was poorly organized and we were directed to the wrong grouping of people when we checked in for our tour. Instead of the “skip the line bell tower” group we were placed in a group with the general tour of the church. We listened to the tour of the church and assumed the bell tower portion was at end of the tour. However, since we were placed in the wrong group we missed our reserved time for the bell tower and we were directed to stand in the very, very long line with the general public in order to see the bell tower. We did not have extra hours in our schedule to be able to do that. We asked for a refund and it was denied. The only reason we booked this activity was to see the overlook of the city from the bell tower. This was a major disappointment.
Should have read it more carefully looking for a pass to walk up the Duomo and this tour DOES NOT not include it…. Only the bell tower, baptistery and museum…. Guide seemed knowledge… dropped out of the tour because the line was about 30 to 45 minutes to get into the museum
There are far better options for touring the Duomo, including going independently. I held off on sharing this review in the hope that the operator would reconsider my refund request. Unfortunately, I have been met with radio silence after a single exchange where I refuted their claim that this was my error. This tour is advertised as a skip the line entry. When we arrived we were told that EU Tours does not do skip the line entry to the Duomo and that the false advertising was TripAdvisor’s issue, not theirs. TripAdvisor disagrees. I requested a partial refund for the inconvenience which I thought was reasonable particularly given the price and the extreme heat on 20.07.2026 which we sought to avoid with the advertised skip the line entry. This was a health concern as well as one of general comfort. We found that we were not the only folks on the tour with the same aims and reactions to being told we were not, in fact, skipping the line. Indeed, even now, the tour shows a timed entry of 11:30am (the start of the supposed skip the line tour) when, in actuality, that is the time when the group steps into the general queue and is not a “timed entry” as advertised. The actual timed entry for the tour (of the bell tower only) was 12:45pm. We waited in line in the 37C heat for nearly a hour, leaving us about 15 minutes total in the church. The timing was not disclosed until we received our tickets from the operator at the Duomo. My refund request was denied stating that “the tour operator did not approve it.” One of the two between EU Tours and TripAdvisor is responsible and I’ve been denied at both. What’s more, the COO of EU Tours SRLS (Daniela) insisted that I must have spoken with a 3rd party or a competitor when I stated that I was told that EU Tours does not do skip the line tours. Considering that the people I spoke with were our tour guide wearing an EU Tours lanyard, the rallying point person with the EU Tours flag in hand, and a gentleman checking in our group wearing EU Tours branded clothing, I absolutely refute that claim. They all said the same thing in no uncertain terms: EU Tours does not do skip the line for the Duomo. Because of EU Tours’ misleading information on the booking, we suffered heat stress-relation health issues from the long wait in the sun, were unable to use our tower entry as it was much later than advertised, and spent about 15 minutes inside the cathedral for our trouble. I cannot recommend this tour or operator and will avoid them in future trips due to this experience.
What an experience this was. We were a little worried that we would find the climb too strenuous, but actually the resting platforms allowed us to catch our breath before resuming. It was actually not as bad as we thought it would be, especially during one of the hottest days. The view was magnificent and we are glad we opted for the bell tower climb and not the duomo since it allowed us a beautiful view of the duomo. I would say communication of collection of validated ticket could be easier - we didn't realise that we would need to show our Trip Adviser receipt to then receive the voucher for entrance. We had queued up only to be told we didn't have the right paperwork and had to find the validator outside the Lindt shop first. This could have been made a little clearer..otherwise an absolutely fabulous experience!
Warning! There are lots steps, at least 1000, going up in the Bell Tower. The stairway is narrow and people are going in both directions. It was super hot the day I went. The view from top was fantastic!
My legs are still shaking, but I’d do it again. The view of Tuscany from the top is unreal. Having the pre-booked ticket was a lifesaver because the city is packed. Don't think twice, just book it.
Visiting the Florence Duomo Complex and climbing the Bell Tower was one of the highlights of our time in Florence. The skip-the-line entry made the experience much easier and allowed us to spend more time exploring instead of waiting. The climb is definitely a workout, but it’s absolutely worth it. The views from the top are breathtaking, with panoramic sights of Florence’s red rooftops, the surrounding hills, and a close-up perspective of Brunelleschi’s magnificent dome. The Duomo Complex itself is stunning, and the architecture and history make the visit even more meaningful. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes, bringing water, and taking your time on the climb. Overall, this is a must-do experience for anyone visiting Florence. The views alone make it unforgettable.
It was truly a great experience. The tour itself. We did have great difficulty in finding the correct spot to meet up. We ended up missing our time slot but they did put us in the next time slot. Worked out great. You do need to have a scarf to cover shoulders if they are bare. Victoria was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and kind.
Take your time climbing, there’s no rush. Seeing the inside of the dome frescos up close on the way up was a huge bonus. The reserved entry ticket made the whole logistics side of it completely stress-free. 10 out of 10 for the experience and the view.
Leant a lot in a fun way with Giulio! About Florence history, about the Cathedral and the surrounding buildings. Great experience
Amazing experience. We bought the ticket for the entrance to the Duomo and the Bell Tower. The climb is not for the lighthearted and is a bit challenging. The staircases are narrow, with small stairs. There are times where only one person at a time can pass. It is a long climb to the top, but extremely worth it. The view of Florence is amazing and you can get a great view from all the different sides. The inside of the Duomo is breathtaking and a site to behold. We spent approximately 2-3 hours to complete the tour.
While waiting in line for the Duomo to open could have been a total drag, Julio made it interesting and entertaining. There was much to learn and he did a good job of giving us info to remember.
we paid for skip the line but the ladies that were managing the tour kept insisting that our two tickets were not. I showed them the amount we paid but they stated our tickets were not skip the line.
We booked this tour well in advance, arrived on time, and the initial tour staff person glanced at our tour confirmation, said she doesn’t have our names in her list and there are no more tickets, and there was nothing she could do. She then said we should come back another time (presumably hoping for better luck). This is the second tour with via Viator and local operators that are premium priced and sloppy in execution. Bad combination. Do not recommend.
We loved every minute of this experience. From the detailed artwork inside the cathedral to the incredible skyline views, everything felt magical. Just be ready for a bit of climbing—but it’s 100% worth it!
Florence was super crowded that day, so skipping the line helped a lot. Entry was right on time and well organized. The gallery has an amazing collection, even beyond David. Everything felt clear and easy. Great experience overall.
Everything about this ticket was simple. We arrived a bit early and still got in fast. No long lines or waiting around. The gallery was well organized and easy to explore. Seeing David in person was a real highlight of our trip.
I just showed my ticket, went through the entrance, and didn’t deal with any confusion. The gallery itself feels quiet and respectful, and you really get to appreciate the artwork. When I finally stood in front of David, it felt different than seeing it in photos. The size and details are unbelievable.
A Viator representative met us at the exact address given near the gallery entrance. That representative had an escort take us directly to the gallery entrance. We bypassed the long line.
We booked a 9:45 tour and we arrived at the meeting point at 9am. We spoke to a person from Viator 3 times (2 times to a person on site and 1 time via phone call) and were told we were in the right place and to wait to be picked up. We finally gave up and left at 10:50 since we had other activities booked.
Lots of people lined up to get in. Ask anyone with a sign of you don’t see your sign for the ticket pickup. All of the representatives know each other and can help. Must book ahead! Skip the line is the way to go. Got right in a few minutes earlier than our scheduled entry. Seeing “David” and unfinished Michelangelo sculptures really gives you a sense of how much time and effort when into all his works. Lots of other artists to see if you have time.
I gave only 3 since the local guide to meet us in the meeting point 43 was very late, time entry for the tickets was at 2:45. The named of the local guide was Brian and 2 other local guides from a different company had to call Brian multiple times.
They never showed up to the meeting point and we had to ask a different tour guide to get inside with his passes
The guide who was supposed to meet us for a 9:45 tour didn’t show until after 9:50 a nd we were not given audio headphones
Are the tickets legit? Yes. Is this essentially legalized ticket scalping? Also yes. For anyone wondering how this works, under Italian law, licensed travel agencies and tour operators are legally allowed to purchase museum tickets and resell them (at any price) as part of a package. ...But the package can be as minimal as a ticket plus a "service", like a two-minute orientation speech, or like *walking you to the museum's security line.* The latter is what you're getting here. What we have here is functionally ticket scalping, but legally packaged as a tour product. Italy is wrong for allowing this, and EU Tours should feel bad for partaking in it. (And please, EU Tours, spare me the disingenous comment on my review in which you defend your business model. Nobody is listening.)

Experience was fantastic it is however expensive for just a que jump perhaps if an audio guide was included in the price i think that would be far more acceptable
Obtaining tickets to the event was straightforward and an easy process. I got the tickets on the same day as the event.
We had to wait a long time for the person to give us our tickets. Once we had them we did enter quite quickly, the experience was worth it.
It was a bit strange: Since it was the first Sunday of the month, the Voucher was not redeemable. I wish I had paid more attention. Viator gave me a rebate right away.
Completely DISHONEST business. I booked a fast track ticket for Sunday morning. I received multiple confirmation emails to be on time. I rushed to get here promptly. First of all, no one was here to meet me, even though I texted my tour operators. Secondly, MUSEUMS ARE FREE IN FLORENCE ON SUNDAYS!!!! So why is this company selling tickets????? I got online , when I didn’t hear back from my supposed tour guide, and 30 min later received a response that said ‘ museums are free today, please ask for a refund’. Seriously, WTF? It’s shameful that there are scammers ruining peoples vacations . It’s very gross and sad.
Feels as though we just bought tickets from a scalper. When I tried to buy tickets through the museum the fast track tickets were all sold out. Likely tour companies like this one buy them all up and then sell them to tourists that need to squeeze all of the ‘must do’s’ into their trip. There was no person holding a viator sign at the location provided but we ended up finding someone who knew someone who had the tickets with our name on a list and we did in fact enter at the agreed upon time. I just wish there was a way to prevent the scalpers from doing this and am disappointed we had to pay extra for something we should have been able to buy through the museum directly.
Don’t hesitate to book this! 🎟️ Florence gets so crowded, but this timed ticket made things simple. David is absolutely massive , photos don’t capture the energy and power of the statue. It’s a short visit, but one that will stay with you forever.
My favorite stop in Florence! I’ve seen photos of David, but nothing compares to standing in front of the real thing. The ticket was easy to use, and the timed entry made everything stress-free. Give yourself at least an hour inside , there's more to see than you think!
This ticket saved me so much time! ⏰ I arrived a few minutes before my time slot and got in immediately. The Accademia Gallery is a treasure. "David" is obviously the star, but there’s also a great collection of musical instruments and religious art.
Florence was super hot the day we went, so skipping the line was such a relief. We were inside in no time. The gallery had air conditioning and a peaceful vibe. I felt like I could breathe and really look at the art without being rushed.
I went alone, and it felt like a personal journey. The fast-track ticket made it easy, no waiting, no crowds. I sat on a bench inside and just looked at David for a while. It was quiet, calm, and beautiful.
It was my first time in Italy, and this was one of the moments I’ll never forget. The process was easy. We got in fast, and once I turned the corner and saw David, I felt emotional. There’s something really human about that statue.
I’m not a big museum person, but this visit really touched me. We got in fast with no waiting, and when I saw the David statue... I just stood there in silence. It’s so powerful in person. I’m really glad we went.
Easy process! We booked the timed entry, showed up 10 minutes before, scanned our tickets, and got in right away. No waiting. The gallery isn’t huge, but it’s full of beautiful art—and David… wow. That statue alone is worth the visit.
this the real arts witch you can see in Accademia the host very friendly and helpful we cam in late but he helped us we recommend
You need a skip the line ticket.. otherwise be prepared to wait more than 1.5 hours to get in! It was a bit chaotic outside but after finding the rep we got in within 15 min
The museum itself is beautiful, but we are still trying to figure out what skip the line meant here because we were just included in the crowded lines…..we initially met a Viator representative across from the museum to get our previously purchased tickets (paid $85 total for two of us). We asked where our skip the line was. Told us oh just go right here (same line as everyone else) then he left. Huh???? Tickets at the door are 16 euros per ticket. Not sure what we paid extra for. I’d say a bit misleading here. Seeing the David and all the incredible art was awesome, but I would not trust skip the line offer because it wasn’t.
Michelangelo’s David, an awe-inspiring masterpiece. The museum also features other Renaissance artworks and sculptures. A fast-track ticket is highly recommended to skip long lines, saving time and ensuring a smoother experience. The gallery is relatively small, so a visit typically takes 1 h Booking in advance is advisable, especially during peak tourist seasons.
Check the paper given for the time to go up the tower, and ours was for yesterday 😡 fortunately, I had my ticket with the Viator appointment time, and the guy let us in. It is important to know that there are very long lines for entry into the cathedral, and to respect the tower time. There are ascents every 15 minutes. The baptistery is under construction. They are renovating the ceiling.
The visit was very interesting, very knowledgeable and prepared guide, made us have fun, also great service!!
