Florence Duomo Cathedral: Hosted Entry & Audio Guide

I was traveling alone and this setup suited me perfectly. I didn't need to follow anybody and could spend extra time on the things I found interesting.

The advert intimated skipping the queue which wasn’t true, and explicitly said said English only translation when it was both in Spanish and English which detracted from the experience. Very little insight or deeper exploration than what you can get on the internet. Not worth the money.

Julio is an amazing guide - enthusiastic, kind and funny! Highly recommend booking with him! The church is beautiful with history and worth exploring

We met up with our group and the guide spoke about the outside for a bit because the church doesn’t open until 10:15. The guide was funny and entertaining. Once inside he took his time to discuss the areas. Very nice Tour

Meeting location was clear. Our guide Vittoria was very knowledgeable and took us around at the right pace.. The group was a good size, so you felt she was talking to us as individuals not just another group. I would highly recommend this tour to family & friends.

Excellent guide, very knowledgeable with an iPad to show us closeups. Audio worked very well. The dome is certainly the centerpiece of the Florence Duomo and is absolutely gorgeous ... a big "oh wow!" Otherwise, however, the interior and exterior of this Duomo didn't strike me as impressively as the Milano Duomo.

This is not skip the line. You still have to queue. The guide was knowledgeable. The organisation process at the Lindt Cafe was not clear.

Julio was amazing! Did so good explaining all the history of the building inside and out. He was funny and not completely strict, overall very good tour and tour guide.

This was a wonderful tour and well priced. highly recommend this for anyone in Italy. Afterwards, there was a lovely café, where we sat and had lunch and a cocktail with a magnificent view of the Duomo.

Redeeming tickets is frustrating and confusing. Finding Viator"s rep in the huge crowd is quite difficult. The guided audio tour itself is good - it's not just an app on the phone, like other audio Viator tours, but there is an actual guide. Tour is inexpensive, yet quite satisfying. The guide was knowledgable, entertaing and nice. I recommend that tour.

Terrible. We got out of a line, only for this tour group to round us up and take us back to the line. Then gave us a prepared speech about how Mondays are busy, it’s not skip the line. SCAM.

The queues to visit the Cathedral always appear very long, but by booking this tour at 10.00, whilst not avoiding the line, we gained access to the cathedral quite soon after it opened at 10.15 and while we were waiting we were given a very informative talk about the outside of the cathedral and its history. Our guide (she probably won't forgive me for forgetting her name!) was very knowledgable and instructive throughout. The inside of the cathedral, as our guide had waarned us, was much less spectacular than some of the other local churches, but still worth the visit, and this guided tour made the time standing in line pass quickly.

It was the perfect amount of time and information. Well organized and meeting our guide was easy. Our guide Julio was great!!

I did not expect i would have to stand in the free queue to get in on a tour. Waste of time and money

It was fun! Our guide Julio was spectacular! He was telling us lot of stories, so that waiting time outside was already part of the tour and passed very fast and was interesting. Very knowledgeable and friendly, giving lot of insights about Cathedral and it’s history. I recommend this tour and particularly the guide Julio!

Guide talked too much about non-Duomo information. Thought he was a comedian. Did learn some interesting facts.

We could not locate the person to exchange our voucher for our Duomo entry ticket. Supposed to be standing outside a shop and did not reply to messages. Do not recommend using this experience.

Found Viator by accident online - amazing price, host very entertaining, have already booked another excursion

There is no cost to visit the cathedral You only pay for the guide and is no needed You don’t skip the line

Excellent tour with Giulio which took about an hour. It was a long line to get in but Giulio made it fun and very informative. Well worth the time and money to have some explanation of what you’re looking at. This is not a “skip the line” tour, so you will wait with the rest of the people to get in, but you’re paying for the guide and it’s well worth the small fee.

Guide was good and informational. She educated us on the building and the region while we waiting in the regular line with all the other guests to the Cathedral. The entrance to the Cathedral is FREE, so we only paid the $8.43 per person for this guide and not entry. She was assertive when some local Italian tried to cut in line in front of our group and said he was entitled to get in before people visiting from other countries because he is Italian. She told them this happens everyday, but not on her watch! Kudos to her and standing up for what is right!

You need a guid that I knowledge and funny because it takes time to get into the cathedral. Inside there’s not so much to see.

Julio was fun, protective, informativ and clear. Money worth👍We only paid 9 euros and he told u’s about the families, arcitects, and the Church outside and inside.

As expected! our guide was enthusiastic and shared a lot of interesting facts. The ticket gives you a timed slot in the line so you do still have to wait your turn to get in, but the time passed pleasantly because the guide was telling us about florence and the duomo. The duomo itself is a bit dull on the inside compared to other places, but the dome fresco is amazing and well worth it.

Great experience, very knowledgeable host who gave an enjoyable talk while queuing (in the shade luckily). Great value for money!!

Not good value for money you are as well just waiting in line independently it’s a lot less expensive the guide was basically telling you the history of the Duomo which you could Google then when you get in a very brief explanation and it ends queue was very long 1.5 hours

Our tour guide left us as we were 5 minutes late. It took us 15 minutes to find the exact spot to meet. Make sure you know the exact spot to meet your tour guide. There are multiple line and tours.

Very disappointed. We could not find our tour guide in the crowd. I called several times with no answer. Never found him or her. Called customer service and they disconnected me. Very disappointing. We bought new tickets and requested a refund and were denied. They said the tour guide tried to call me. I had zero missed calls. Our second tour guide was amazing though. I will give them a great review.

Julio was a fabulous tour guide, humorous and knowledgable. we learnt so much about the outside of the building aswell as inside.

Unfortunately our guide did not have much knowledge or ability to stay focused on the group which made for an unpleasant experience

We didn't have to spend time figuring out where to queue. The entry process was smooth, and once inside, there was plenty to take in. The audio guide helped explain some of the details I would have walked past.

This place was a scam, I bought the tickets but some one was supposed to be at a specific place to give me the real tickets the tickets that I had on line, it was not accepted. No o e show up to give me the right ticket, waist of the one. Don’t buy from this site!

Julio was fabulous, very witty, full of information which he gave out willingly! Started outside the building and kept us entertained as we moved through the queue and into the Duomo.

Great service and a great guide (Julio - not sure of the spelling). He had a passionate and entertaining style of telling the history of the Duomo, and the other buildings connected to it. We had a great time.

Although you can get in free for the small charge in you get a lot of information. Laura our guide was very good.

I booked the 9:20 slot for this activity. Nowhere was I told that the tour wouldn't start for nearly 25 mins after that. I was just told to stand and wait. I received no other information. We then had to wait in line. In the description it makes it seem like you actually have a reservation. You don't, you wait for it to open in line with everyone else. The tour guide talked about the outside of the building while we were in line but had his back turned and so many people cut us in line. The tour guide was fine, knowledgeable. Personally, I don't think it was worth the money.

Uncertain at first where to meet. Operator very good and checked us in. The tour guide (Laura) was amazing, so knowledgeable and very helpful. I could have listened to her all afternoon. Would 100% recommend, especially to anyone fascinated with the local history.
