We had a great time on our 1–2 hour tour of the Duomo Cathedral! Our guide, Emmanuel, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fantastic insights into the cathedral's history and architecture. For a short 1-to-2-hour experience, it was structured perfectly and well worth it.

Very informative and interesting. Enjoyed learning about both the outside and inside of the basilica. Guide was great and full of insight and energy!
The girl Emanuela was very passionate about the city of Florence but her English was terrible my sister and i couldn’t understand hardly anything which was a real shame!!!
There is so much of interest inside and out the guide helps to appreciate it all. Worth the reasonable fee!
We went with our family and everyone managed to stay interested. The explanations were simple enough for the younger members of the group without being boring for the adults.
Normally I find historical tours a little difficult to follow, but this one was different. The guide used simple explanations and interesting stories, which kept everyone engaged.
The cathedral is beautiful, but having a guide made the visit much more meaningful. We learned about the construction, the decorations, and some interesting stories connected to the Duomo.
Brilliant guided tour of Santa Maria del Fiore! Quick entry, insightful historical context, and a fantastic local guide who answered all our questions. You walk away with a true appreciation for Italian Gothic architecture. Highly recommended!
Our guide was fantastic—passionate, funny, and deeply knowledgeable about Florentine heritage. The tour moved at a comfortable pace, allowing enough time for photos while keeping the group engaged with great anecdotes about Brunelleschi and the Cathedral’s construction.
We enjoyed the tour but keep in mind you still have to wait in the line to get into the Cathedral which can take a while. But while waiting the guide gave us lots of information about the duomo and showed us many things we may have missed when inside the church. After the tour was finished we were able to walk around the church ourselves.
We had a busy itinerary in Florence, but this was one stop we were really glad we made time for. The cathedral is stunning, and the guide made sure we understood what we were seeing rather than simply walking through. A very enjoyable and worthwhile visit.
Without the guide, we probably would have walked through the cathedral, taken a few photos, and moved on. Instead, we learned so many interesting details about the artwork and architecture. The explanations were clear, engaging, and never felt like too much information.
Inside, the cathedral is quite plain, so without a guide, you would finish in 10 minutes. But our guide told us cool stories about how they built the big dome. The headphones worked great, and her English was very clear and easy to follow.
The lines outside the Duomo were absolutely massive, so booking this priority access guided tour was the best decision we made. We bypassed the crowd seamlessly. The tour itself was well-paced, informative, and gave us just the right amount of depth without feeling overwhelming.
Amazing and knowledgeable guide. Forgot her name so photo attached.I thought we would be going to the top and I thought we would skip the line, but apparently I did not purchase those tickets. Confusing process for the ticket purchase, but nonetheless, an amazing church with a guide who had so much knowledge information and colorful stories. Beautiful place but I would recommend the skip the line tickets on a very hot day in July. Next time we will go to the top. Recommend this tour early in the morning.
The normal line outside was super long in the sun. With this tour, we got inside in less than 10 minutes. The meeting spot was easy to find. Just make sure to arrive 15 minutes early because the square gets very crowded!
Absolutely loved this. I unfortunately can’t remember the name of the guy who guided us. I booked one on 14.07 at 11:55. He did an amazing job telling us stories and even when the tour’s ended, he’s willing to give us an extra time to tell more stories. Best guy!
Guide was excellent. Very interesting and provided excellent information. The line was very long to enter cathedral. I booked this on the spot while in Firenze and was able to get the tour same day.
The Piazza del Duomo is always packed, but our tour guide guided us effortlessly past the lines. Inside, the contrast between the simple, solemn cathedral and the exploding colors of the dome's ceiling is stunning.
Great guide with a sense of humour!
We met our guide Manuella outside the Lindt Chocolate Shop as instructed. The whole area was extremely crowded so I suggest you allow more time when you visit. There was a long queue at least 20 minutes to get into the Cathedral. Manuella however was a very good guide and provided details about the history of the Cathedral itself, construction and the famous people of the time. Inside the cathedral was simple but spectacular with the most spectacular painted dome ceiling apparently the biggest in the world it was incredible. We enjoyed our trip which lasts about 1 hour
A great guide- Julio- very entertaining and enthusiastic and very informative . The time in the queue went quickly because of him. Lovely art work inside the cathedral
Still had to wait in line. Very crowded. Microphone did not work. Guide did not have a replacement. Missed a lot of tour.
This tour made me slow down and actually notice things—tiny details in the marble, hidden symbols, and the meaning behind the artwork. Definitely something you can’t experience alone.
I’ve seen the Duomo before, but this guided tour changed everything. From the marble façade to the interior details, every corner had a story. The guide made it easy to imagine Florence during the Renaissance.
Clear meeting instructions and no confusion at all. The guide managed the group well and made sure everyone stayed together, which is not always easy in busy places like this.
Waste of money. Had to queue to get in for 50 minutes despite booking for a tour time at 11.30am. The guide spent the whole time talking to the 6 people at the front of our line & showing them picture on her table &didn't interact with or approach the rest of us. She just ignored us. By 12.30pm we had to leave because we had somewhere else to be.
We arrived a bit early and the guide was already there, which made things less stressful. They started with a brief explanation outside about the cathedral’s facade, then moved inside smoothly. I appreciated how they kept things simple and didn’t overload us with too many dates.
Good tour, good information., the guide was very nice and had a lot of interesting facts. The line was not very long
Inside the cathedral, the guide focused on key highlights instead of overwhelming us with too much information. I learned about how the dome was constructed and why it’s considered such an achievement, which made me appreciate the building much more.
I was not able to find the tour guide at the meeting location. I showed up 15 minutes before the start time and waited there for up to an hour hoping to catch the next tour. I requested a refund and was told I either went to the wrong location, or showed up at the wrong time. I took pictures to show as proof and have emails to confirm info. Customer service was rude and kept making finding excuses to blame me for not finding the tour guide on a large crowd. I even went inside the Lindt store to ask for help/ guidance. Will not recommend this service.
If you think you’ve seen the Duomo just by looking at it, think again. This tour gives you a whole new perspective. The guide made everything simple, interesting, and unforgettable.
Waste of money. This is not a skip the line tour. You will wait in the extremely long line for 2 hours. Buy tickets elsewhere.
I believe that it is important to see the Florence Doumo Cathedral for its age, size and significance. It is decorated in much of a different style, which appeared to be a disappointment to some, however, consider it was built in the 13th century. The fresco on the ceiling of the dome is magnificent. You will not regret going to see it.
Lots of walking & steps to climb Very knowledgeable guide & tour Many beautiful pieces of artwork & sculptures
Learned a lot and the time spent waiting in line went fast. Funny guide who was ready to go with a lot of information.
It is so well worth it, especially if you get Julio as guide. He is so personable, informative and entertaining. I shook his hand in thanks.
Great guide, Julio was very informative and fun. He kept us entertained whilst we waited in line to get in .
To get a brief history of the cathedral, this is a decent tour. The guide was knowledgable and kind.
The Duomo is amazing, and the express tour gave me just enough history to understand it, without too much detail. The guide made it fun and easy, and I walked away with great photos and happy memories.
Didnt think the guided tour was worth it, big group, guide was polite but not very enthusiastic, only lasted 15 minutes.
Patricia was fantastic!! So much historical information was shared and she had an incredible sense of humor that I really enjoyed!
"Small Group Tour Skip-the-Line". Probably our worst experience in florence. You mislead readers with these headlines to book tours and take money without offering anything. What else could "skip the line" mean. We paid you, to tell us come from 09.30 stand in line and when the cathedral opens you will enter (for everyone the entrance is free). what should anyone think that is? Also the small groups cannot be 25 people. that is not a small group.
Great tour with a very knowledgeable and humorous guide. Cool to see the inside for such a great price!
I do not recommend this service. The tour guides were not friendly and borderline rude. The tour guide provided nonstop talking, but not information that was easy to understand. The tour group started 15 min late. Although this gets you into the dome, you will need to go in line. I was very disappointed in this tour.
The Cathedral was fabulous. The guides microphone system did not work very well, it was very difficult to hear her.
Giulio was an amazing guide. Very educational. Our group received a lot of insight. Thanks for everything.
Fourth visit to Florence, we have never visited Duomo. We have enjoyed the outside, admired the stunning marble work...but long, long queues and being unorganised meant no internal visit. Booked our tour as soon as booked trip this time, knew there would be queueing even with a guide , chose morning slot etc. Arrived at Lindt, joined queue with our fantadtic guide Julio. Our tour started 9.45am, doors open 10.15...so minimum 30min wait. Julio made the queue interesting and fun; his role as we stood in the crowded area on a road was everything from very informative guide, queue buster, safety officer and entertainer. Julio was excellent with the group, lots of interesting facts about Duomo as we waited and group interaction. He continuously ensured that those at back of group could hear and were included. Julio's crowd and queue control when the doors opened and people were not paying attention ahead; were greatly appreciated...the queu e moved faster 😀 We were continuously informed about the process of entry, it was smooth and organised and once inside Julio gathered his 'flock'. Inside Duomo initially is not as impactful as the outside; however Julio drew our attention to the beautiful craftsmanship, both high and low. He continued to inform/interact and ensure we were in decent photography positions. Excellent. Interior Duomo If you admire/enjoy stunning fresco 's and intricate stain glass windows ; appreciate the skills of craftsman then you will appreciate the interior Duomo. If you have a head for heights then book the terrace walk to admire fresco close up (gutted my problem with heights made impossible for me) We thoroughly enjoyed the Duomo tour and this is mainly due to Julio. He was great, thank you.
Well worth the wait in the long lines. Try not to do a Tuesday, as most places are closed on a Monday, and so Tuesday is chaos. We were the first tour of miss the queue, however we waited for over an hour, as mass only finished at 10 15. Was very pleased to have visited the Duomo.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. There were also rude people and she handled them very politely. Thank you!
