Florence Duomo & Bell Tower: Skip-the-line With Audio Guide

Guide was funny but kind of repetitious! Enjoyed the tour! Beautiful church and learned some new things!

Organization was terrible. Guy holding flag had it down by his side, very rude, and woman checking us in would not answer questions. We were early and the guide already started the tour and did not give any instructions that it was time to put headset in. Probably 8 of us missed 10-15 min. Also he was terrible. He gave no history of the building or current info, he took no questions, he rambled on and on about the numbers and the geometrical shapes. Totally boring and I request a refund. Worst tour we ever had.

The skip the line ticket was worthless. We waited just like everyone else. The bell tower is being renovated. We climbed up high enough to see out, but not to the top. The church is beautiful inside, however outside is way more impressive. This is our third trip to Florence…. This tour was not worth the hassle

There is no "Skip the queue" ticket as suggested in the title of the tour. You have to join the long queue.

Took a while to find the right tour group.

We had a ticket that covers a tour guide of the Cathedral, entry to the Crypt, Bell Tower Climb and Baptistery. Our tour guide, Vittorio, was very factual but interesting. She has a lovely, friendly personality. The Bell Tower climb is quite steep with narrow steps. Not for the faint hearted, but a spectacular view when you get to the top.

Ana the guide is amazing, if someone’s asks if you prefer to make the tour in English or Italian choose English so you can enjoy the visit with a guide and not through the app (I remained next to the guide so I could hear her all the way)

Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. He had a great personality and my only complaint is with myself because I should’ve had more time to book more tours!

Our guide was quirky but engaging! When i showed him our ticket, he reminded me to find him at the end of our interior tour so that he could direct us to the other experiences we had booked. He kept the attention of our group as we waiting to enter the Duomo. The bell tower climb - WOW! So many steps, but so worth it (once we got to the top!)

This tour is a scam. It is not a tour of the duomo. It is only to climb the bell tower. Look for some other tour

This just wasn’t what I thought I ordered. My search was for skip the line dome tour, non guided. What I accidentally ordered was skip the line tour of duomo. It was not skip the line. We waited in line for and hour, and it was guided, and no dome tour. Advice is to double check what you sign up for. This was not worth the entry fee.

You do not get anything with the audio link attached for the cathedral. so if you close the link by mistake you have no way of getting it back. There is no guide.

Cathedral very impressive from the outside, very basic on the inside apart from the dome itself but really interesting story and worth seeing. We went into the crypt and up the bell tower as well. Bell tower gives amazing views

This is a scam. Originally booked the tour because the tour description clearly said climbing the Duomo & Bell Tower. The operator contacted me to change the dates as the Duomo was closed on the date. We agreed on Dec 30th 9.45am. When we showed we were given a Giotto pass(only bell tower climb included) and asked to stand in a rather long line line to visit the Duomo, no climb. We had to cancel another planned tour to accommodate as the family was very keen. To add insult to injury the bell tower access was at 6pm in the evening. You are better off buying the Giotto pass directly from the official site.

We hardly found the tour guide. Than she just gave us printouts with tickets and said - go from the other side of the Cathedral. Than you queue on a long line which is all skip the line - there is no skip the line. Everyone is on than line. So spare your money and buy the regular 20eur tickets and not the twice more expensive ones. You have a choice of the Cathedral or the Bell tower. When you visit one tou have to queue again for the next one. We did just the tower.

In all honesty, the experience wasn’t great and the audio guide wasn’t particularly useful or interesting. Sounded like an ai generated voice and we weren’t guided as where to start it in order for it to make sense with the ‘tour’. The tickets given to us also clearly state that they cost €20 each which feels like a bit of a slap in the face that they cost upwards of €70 for the two of us. All in all really poor experience that left us feeling deflated and taken advantage of.

The directions were misleading. We thought we were able to climb to the top of the duomo but when we got to the meeting spot, we were told that we only had access to the bell tower. So that was disappointing. When we got to the bell tower, we had “skip the line” tickets yet we weren’t able to skip the line.

Description not clear and misleading. We thought we purchased tickets for climbing duomo with option for bell tower. Unable to get tickets for duomo so we missed out.

I had a guide who had been leading back to back tours all day and still offered a great insight into the abundant history within the city of Venice by biking from place to place. Would (and have) recommend this to anyone visiting Florence looking to understand more of all the history you pass by in this wonderful city.

EU TOURS - Not a good way of selling tickets - not clear on the meeting point (there is no Gotti's Bell to meet at, it is Gotti's Bell TOWER) - would have helped with more details. Not clear in the email where the tickets were - there was a very tiny link... Next time I would just buy a ticket at the Duomo when I got there....

We were cancelled on by the tour for "over-booking" the dome climb so we booked this self guided tour with bell tower climb. The audio guide was not relevant to climbing the bell tower nor the Duomo. The ticket stated that the package included "skip the line": tickets for the cathedral; however, the Duomo does not sell skip the line tickets and entry is free during certain times. We had to stand in a long line but it moved quickly.

Communication was awkward. Series of notifications then sent a voucher for tickets that was a dead end. We did not get in to the duomo or ever recurve the tickets. Reached out to the tour provider and they did not respond.

Duomo climb was amazing, it didn't feel that bad climbing the 463 steps and to see the dome fresco close up was unreal, as well as the views at the summit.

This was a good tour if you’re looking for something very high level. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable however it felt very rushed. She didn’t leave room for questions until the end. We would definitely have liked a little more detail on this magnificent masterpiece of a cathedral. By no means am I saying don’t book this tour! It was good, but my husband and I are very much into the details of how the architecture was built which we didn’t quite get.

Filippo Brunelleschi designed the awe-inspiring Dome, Florence Cathedral's unique dome, known as Il Duomo. This hand-built structure is a triumph of Italian Rennaissance construction, it's mainly made of bricks. The Dome resembles Rome's Pantheon, but it is part of the ground-breaking project. We climbed to the top of the Dome; the Dome and view of Florence is inspirational.

The tower is a must climb for the absolutely incredible views and the cathedral is a beautiful sight as well.

Scam. I was able to climb the bell tower with no issues. I was told to come the next day and my ticket will be valid for the cathedral and go to the duomo. That was not the case, I was able to see the cathedral but my ticket was not valid for the Duomo only because the tickets I was given were a duplicate and was scanned prior to my entrance by 13 minutes!

The directions gave a meeting point in front of a cafe (near the entrance to the bell tower). He had a small paper sign that could easily be missed with large walking crowds. Once I saw him, he said he tried calling my # but I'm foreign therefore wouldn't have been able to answer due to being on airplane mode. The paper ticket entry was a hassle to get my family in because it didn't seem like an authentic printed ticket. We were let in after some groveling. Other than that, the experience was really nice once up in the bell tower

Book Duomo climb tickets in advance if you want to climb it - we missed out. Peak season and the next ticket was a week ahead. so, we climbed the bell tower instead. That was fantastic. Would recommend it. Easier to get a ticket and almost as high. Do it.

Our guide in charge of the tickets was supposed to be at the meeting place at 1. He got there at 1:10, gave us tickets that were for 12:45, when i asked him about that he yelled at me that they are right and he left. We went to the line to get into the cathedral and the employee informed me the ticket he gave me was used and I have been scammed. I have used viator before and loved it but this was ridiculous.

Great 360 degree views over the city of Florence - including the famous Duomo. There are multiple levels to view from which allow a much needed break during the 414 step climb. The steps get narrower towards the top so this would not be suitable for the claustrophobic.

Skip the line worked grrat. We were able to get rigjt in and climb up the tower without waiting. So much better than waiting in line.

This arts is fantastic. Our host Claudio was superb she was very patient she gave another tickets for next day instead of our tickets becouse of the train delyed The Cathedral a must. Highly recommended. The climb up the tower is somewhat claustrophobic Advise any visitor to leave the tower visit until afternoon to avoid queues and roads go up and down the tower

We knew we would enjoy this tour, but we really enjoyed it quite a bit more than we expected. Our guide, Jac, was amazing. He was full of interesting information and kept us in the know about everything we were going to experienc .! Highly recommended!

Hussain was super helping and gave us a bonus tickets to visit the cupola too. The trip to both towers are great. Highly recommended

Booked the Giotto Bell tower tour at Trip advisor with viator. We were pleasantly surprised when the agent from Viator, Hussain met us and offered a free trip to the Cupola Del Brunelleschi too at no additional charge. Super helpful guy & as someone not planning on doing the cupola, it was a brilliant experience climbing it up.

This trip was a amazing experience and I would definitely come back. To enter the bell tower you needed tickets which you had to queue for which is a reason I gave this place four stars. It was very fun and my child enjoyed it very much. The steps! The stairs were alright for the first 2 floors, they were just straight stairs up with plenty of light. The third and fourth floors were not good. They started to spiral and became narrow and dark. With people coming down as you go up and vice versa it was a terrifying experience. At some points you couldn’t see and my daughter at some points couldn’t see. Sometimes it became very narrow and one time the people coming up waited on the thick side of the step so we had to squeeze past in the dark narrow side. The view at the top was sensational and there was a schism in thought between my wife and I whether or not the climb us was worth it. Personally I think it was a great thing to do and I would definitely recommend and definitely come back!!!

I recommend this experience, the panoramic view from the Duomo is amazing and the Duomo itself is so beautiful!
