Florence Day Trip To Siena & San Gimignano With Scenic Views

Ornella was wonderful—very knowledgeable and patient with our big group. We made the most of the bad weather and thoroughly enjoyed this trip.

It was a great trip and we had plenty of time to visit both cities. It is not a long drive and Siena and San Gimignano was wonderful. The bus was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this Day Trip!

We had a wonderful day exploring Tuscany countryside. It was a shame the bus broke down, but the staff were very quick to organise a replacement bus. San Gimignano was amazing- just like the movies. Make sure you climb the highest tower!

We really enjoyed visiting Tuscany. It was absolutely beautiful and did not disappoint. It was very difficult to hear our guide since she was not using an audio system like Vox. You had to be next to her to hear her. She also walked really fast and was hard to keep up with. I would’ve liked a better listening experience.

Giovanni was a wonderful guide. He shared so much knowledge about every place we visited, Florence and many other cultural facts. He kept us very engaged and we really enjoyed the tour. Ales was a great bus driver. Very professional and drove very safely.

Our busdriver Alessandro was well experienced and the bus was very comfortable and clean. The trip itself to Siena and San Gimignano can be highly recommended as they are both very nice medieval citys where you can enjoy "La dolce vita"! :-) I will definitely come back and I'm glad that I booked the trip to those beautiful citys!

The trip itself was great. I so enjoyed both stops as well as the views as we drove. We had ample time at each location and the most pleasant surprise was all the great history and tips from our guide Giovanni. Since I booked ‘transport only’ I assumed we would not have this. What a wonderful day! Most certainly not disappointed with our last minute decision! Giovanni was hands down an amazing guide for the day, so knowledgeable, sharing his passion with everyone aboard! Gio went above and beyond, making sure he got to talk with everyone and check in! We never felt rushed, had more than enough time to really enjoy all that Sienna & San Gimignano had to offer! Fantastic day with our guide Gio and the second best driver in all Florence, Alexandro,visiting Siena and San Gimignano. Perfect time allowed in both places and lot of information sharing through out the day. I really liked that the meeting points and recommendations of sightseeing was shared through Whatsup. Wonderful day out and our guide Giovanne was great but maybe he should have considered that there were older people in his group that could not keep up with his long legs. He was very informative and attentive otherwise and we both enjoyed our day out in Tuscany.

My 14 year old grand-daughter and I were excited about our day trip to Sienna and San Gimignano. The welcoming guide was very good and told us to take photos on our phones for collection times to be back at the bus after each stop (2 stops). No commentary was done throughout the trip. Lovely bus trip to Sienna - beautiful stop. Got back to bus at 1.30 as instructed. Bus had not turned up until 2.pm. A passenger called the City Wonders co. advising that at least 50 people were waiting for the bus. The driver and bus turned up at 2pm - no apology - advised us that the itinerary said 2pm departure. Then we waited another 15 minutes for 2 people to come back. Trip to San Gimignano cut short by 45 mins. My granddaughter and I got lost with Google Maps app to return to pickup spot by 4.45 for 5 pm departure. To our alarm and distress - the bus had left. We got there on the dot 5pm (as calls to both Get Your Guide and City Wonders will confirm). The bus left the oldest and the youngest passengers behind!!! Get Your Guide were helpful and when after 35 minutes we were finally able to get onto City Wonders - the response at first through AI with messages, appeared concerned, and then we were told, you will have to find your own way back! Not one bit of help or suggestion on how to do this!!! That is the least the customer service team could have done - given suggestions on which buses to take as there is no direct public transport route from San Gimignano to Florence. We finally got back after waiting at a local bus stop in drizzling rain and then another bus - back to Florence at 8.30 pm in the dark!! The most disappointing experience for my granddaughter and me in our Italy trip. I would never use City Wonders anywhere again nor recommend them.

Not my first experience with Get your Guide and not having a specific address with number adds unnecessary complexities to locate the meeting point. Our guide Gio was processional, friendly, showed good knowledge, very helpful and excellent English. We opted for the wine tasting which was a bit confusion and fast, for the short time available less explainatiin is more, focus on the 3 wines presented and where they are from with. Notes and pairing recommendations would have been great. Perhaps a link of summarized info would have helped. Giró our driver was great, no brisk stops and very steady safe ride. I noticed not everyone tipped, which was disappointing, this should be highlighted in the description as it’s mentioned but not everyone respects it as not all services in Europe work the same way as in o other countries and people assume this Irma y necessary. If this is an expectation of the service works it needs to be very clear.

Although the meeting spot directions were not very clear, we eventually found it. The bus was very comfortable and Allessandro was a very professional and responsible driver. Gio was our tour leader and he did a good job explaining the day to us, meeting points and highlights of the towns. It was nice having the time to explore on our own.

Booked Transportation only tour and it exceeded my expectations. Gio was the best! Gave us lots of history in a light fun way and made good suggestions for exploring the two towns. Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful experience visiting both Siena and San Gimignano. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and also gave us great tips and recommendations in both places. We also did the wine tasting, I would recommend it 100% well worth the money.

The trip was very good ,Sandro was very informative, just wish we would have had more time in San Gimignano as there was lots to see

Disappointed! Both locations were pretty but the tour was not as good as expected. I included the wine tasting. The tour guide (Ornella) was not feeling well, she made a point of telling us. She did not use the microphone on the bus and insisted that we all join a what’s app group so she can communicate through text messages. I find it in very poor judgement that you ask 40 strangers to share their phone number to make your job easier. The wine was good but the experience was poor. We had one white and two reds to try. There were potato chips and breadsticks on the table for us. I have never had wine paired with potato chips! Our tour was also the only group in the town without a headset to hear our guide. We were a large group and it was not possible to hear her when she spoke. The amazing part of the tour was prior to arriving at our drop off point the microphone on the bus worked and she made a point of asking for tips. If there was a way to demand a refund I would!

We had a wonderful experience visiting Siena and San Gimignano with City Wonders! Everything went smoothly and exactly as planned. Our guide, Marta, was absolutely amazing! She shared fantastic recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, local food, and wines, not only in Siena and San Gimignano, but also in Florence, where our tour started.

Guilliano was great and organized allowing us to see a world class cathedral and many sites including a tower climb in the second city, and another great church. Free choices let you choose!

The two places are amazing! The tour was well organized, what to see, where to go, where and where to meet. Our tour guide Marta is great and taught us how to pronounce San Gimignano easily and it was a fun experience to tour with her. Appreciate the bus driver as well, who made the journey at ease!
