Florence Accademia Gallery Tour With Entrance Ticket Included

I will get the con out of the way first, the tour was pushed back about an hour. Since we took the train to Florence from Rome, we had an entire day so this wasn’t too much of an inconvenience but it might cause issues for others who are on a strict schedule. We also had to wait a little bit to actually get into the museum, but seeing the statue was well worth it. Amazing artwork and the rest of the location was great as well. Much better to have a guide on this tour. We were able to avoid the lines and our guide, Martina, gave us many interesting facts about the David, and many other masterpieces inside, all while navigating the crowd.

Martina was a fantastic guide! She swiftly lead us through the long lines and other tour groups to the Accademia entrance to enter at our assigned time. Martina was a wealth of knowledge about the art on display, the history and politics of the time period, and life in Florence today. Though the Accademia is a relatively small museum, it is full of paintings, sculptures, icons, etc. I greatly appreciated how she curated the visit so we focused on the most significant pieces and maximized our time in the space. Highly recommend Martina!

Tour guide Martina was informative and to the point. No time was wasted. The tour itself was 45 minutes. The rest of the time ~ 15 min was introductions, passing out ear pieces, checking their workability, and finally getting through the check point. Would recommend this tour with Martina.

Our meeting spot was extremely close to the museum tour which was nice. We had a tour in Rome and the meeting spot was not all that close Our guide was lovely! Great sense of humor and really knew her history!

We had an amazing tour with a knowledgeable guide named Galya. She was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information, painting the picture of the period of time we were observing. We enjoyed getting to see one of the most amazing pieces of art with her. She ensured we got the right pictures at the right angle, even taking my phone and taking a photo at an exceptional angle of David.

Martina was entertaining and knowledgeable. Our group tour was sufficient for covering the main exhibits and of course Michelangelo’s David. Martina was receptive to all questions and was able to answer in a clear and thorough manner. We highly recommend getting a tour with her. Her passion for Art and Florence was easily contagious.

Her knowledge of the art and artists of the period is top-notch, and she shared fascinating background stories that really brought the works to life. The meeting point was easy to find and we were checked in with ease. It was nice to be able to gain quicker access. Our guide was polite, but I wear hearing aids and I could not hear her at all, even wearing the equipment provided. Her microphone did not pick up her voice well enough. The gallery was very crowded and it was difficult to stand in a spot for such a long time while being told about the sculptures. There are so many tours offered and so many retired-age people who travel, I feel that Viator and the tour companies that are used should have ways that Bluetooth headsets could work with hearing aids for a better experience. Until then, I would say that this tour is not for the hearing-impaired.
