This was well worth it. I'd seen a few dubious reviews but decided to go ahead as didn't want to wait in long queues. When we arrived at the meeting point, which was very near the Accademia entrance, we were met by the representative who gave us our tickets. We then went to the allocated queue line and walked straight in. I must also add that I discovered that I'd mislaid my booking confirmation a few days before the visit. I contacted Viator via email & they promptly replied and sent me another one - Fantastic service. I've used Viator before and have never been disappointed.

This is basically an entrance fee to pass everyone in line, so if you don’t want to wait, this is the thing for you. The path to the skip the line lane could have been made more clear.
Absolutely brilliant tour guide and magical experience really worth the money. Would highly recommend
We purchased, and paid extra for, 'Skip the Line' tickets but waited on a line for 45 minutes plus. The entry to the Academia was total chaos with the employees giving you completely different information and directions.
Group tour guided through the academia to see David. Tour was short but museum was small but interesting
This ticket choice does not require you to meet someone somewhere to pick up the "actual ticket". This choice gives you the "actual ticket"
David is obviously the main attraction, which is amazing to see and understand the back story ; the rest of the sculptures are also amazing.
We ended up with a guided tour, which was phenomenal! Our guide was able to speak to the David statue from such intricate details. It allowed one to view the statue from a whole other perspective!
When we got to the venue, the Viator Rep. told us our tickets were cancelled due to too many people at the venue and that we would be issued a refund. It's been 3 + weeks and still no refund. The event on my bookings says it was complete but we were never given the tickets to the venue because we were told they were cancelled.
It was as great to not have to wait on line to enter Everyone with whom we interacted was polite and professional.
Dino was FABULOUS! We had a great tour and he was very knowledgeable
Rather hard to figure out who you are supposed to meet and it’s rather chaotic. I waited for about 30 minutes in the meeting location and was finally taken to the line but it was for the group following my time and I certainly didn’t go to the front of the line as was promise.
Our guide was simply a breath of fresh air, excellent kid and well worth the money
It was very informative and interesting and he kept our attention!
The directions to the meeting point were spot on and led me directly there. The “staff” hanging around at the meeting were a little disconcerting, but they handled the process quickly and I was in the Museum within two minutes.
Magical experience. The statues and paintings truly unforgettable
We had to wait for some random guy to give us tickets on the street. It was extremely chaotic and shady. The whole ticket process is very poorly handled!!
Hard to find the operator at the meeting point. Arrived when we were instructed to arrive and were told to come back 20 minutes later. The guide shoved the tickets in our hands and waved saying “go up there”. When I asked him to repeat the instructions he did slow down and give better directions. This is just a way to buy skip the line tickets which we still had to wait in line after receiving the tickets for about 10 minutes.
Very expensive, they never answered my doubths; they gave me a ticket with a different hour and another important thing: the price showed on the ticket was not the same as the price I payed for the visit to the Accademia Gallery... I payed more than two thousand mexican pesos... the ticket had a price for 25 euros...
The ticket costs twice the official price, which is already a major red flag. Upon arrival, you have to find a representative tucked away in a corner to exchange your booking confirmation for an actual ticket. You then have to queue all over again, despite having paid extra for a supposedly skip-the-line ticket. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I finally managed to enter the museum 45 minutes after my scheduled entry time. This was by far one of the worst experiences I have had visiting museums in Italy. My advice: Save yourself the money, time, and frustration, and book your tickets directly through the museum's official website!
Tour operators buy up tickets in advance for the museum entry and then sell them on for double the price (they are only £20 at the museum) as they are otherwise sold out. There is no special line or treatment from this product, they just give you your ticket at the beginning of the timed entry line. Plus the included audiobook was never available through the app, and the guidebook was just a map with no information on the exhibits at all. The museum itself was nice and focussed on the statue of David with a few other smaller exhibits. Only takes an hour or less to look around
Amazing. We just did the audio guide but that was enough for us. We realized the same day we forgot to book these and had no time but right now to see it. We looked at the long line for people without tickets, looked online and sold out, booked this for 30 min later and walked right in. This saved us so much time and almost leaving Florence without seeing David! Thanks to you!
The tour meet-up went relatively smooth. Small group. Alfonso, our guide, did a wonderful job explaining the art, history, and life of Michelangelo. We then had free time to further explore the museum.
Appeared to be organized chaos! We found the door and the guy with the tickets, told us what line to stand in and we made it in after about 25-30mins of being in line!
Easy to find host. Skip the line tix were excellent! They showed us exactly where to go & we got right in. Very efficient! Great experience!
Tour guide was knowledgeable, passionate and fun. We learned a lot. Thanks so much for the great afternoon!
We were given a meet up point and time and, in a crowd of people, we had to figure out who we were supposed to talk to. I paid for audio guide which turned out to be an app we had to download to the use with our headphones, NO ONE has mentioned we needed headphones. Most irritating thing was one of the "guide" thinking neither me or my friend speak Italian , started speaking very rudly about us. Surprise surprise Im actually italian, I didnt say anything purely cus I didnt want to ruin my friend experience. For the money you charge you may wanna make sure you advertise all of it properly and maybe hire some decent people.
A little worried about picking up tickets from a person outside a door number but it worked and they took us to the front of the queue. It would be good to let people know in advance that you need to download an app to get the audio guide. We couldn’t down load because we did not have our Apple password. This didn’t worry us as we were not needing the audio guide but it might be a problem for other people. The visit was great and we had as much time with David as we wanted
Our guide was not great. Based on the last experience we had in 2023 our guide that time was much better.
There was not any attention and the ticket had a different schedule to the service I pay for.
It was fantastic overall! The meeting place was a little difficult to locate as the door number listed is not on the Accademia but on a building across the street. Once we were in the right place we were greeted then whisked off to a line with an even earlier time than we signed up for! The wait to get inside was minimal & David was spectacular!
Fantastic small-group tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, bringing David and the gallery’s other works to life. As a solo traveller, I really enjoyed the experience. Tip: book the first morning tour to see David before the crowds arrive. Highly recommend!
I purchased at a premium no-line tickets. Accademia refused to acknowledge these were no-line because we purchased thru a 3 party-Trip advisor. Stood in line over an hour. Trip Advisor should not have offered at substantial additional cost the no-line option. Still happy about seeing The David and all the other art.
This ticket will assure you a fairly short wait to enter the Galleria dell'Accademia to see things like the statue of David (original) by Michelangleo and many other historic pieces by many artists. The meeting point is just outside a door and the tour people are standing there checking phones and ticking you off a list. It's basically a spot across the narrow road from the lines waiting to get into the galleria (which looks like the back of a big building). The instructions about where to stand were given a bit off-hand and the "audio guide" needed you to follow a qr code which sends you to download an app which you then have to register with. I didn't get it going in time. I paid for an audio set from the entrance after the security check for €6 instead and it worked perfectly. I didn't like the way we were ignored a bit once we had showed up by the people standing at door 39. It was a bit of a weird set up. But we got in around 15/20mins after the set time which seemed far better than the long long queues we could see others standing in.
They were efficient but it wasn’t completely skip the line. We still waited 30 minutes for academia galleria and 20 minutes for Uffizi. Maybe it would have been a lot longer if got tickets there on our own. I am not sure.
This cooking class was soooo fun. I did it with my sister and mom. We learned, it was delicious but we truly had a great time and it's a memory that will be with us forever. It's a must do !
Easy ticket collection the guy was there and we got in early. We saw what we wanted to and left. Very well organised I would book through Trip Advisor again. Reminded by email with code.
Great experience! Loved getting to skip the line and see The David in the early morning light. Once I figured out who was in charge of my booking it was really easy.
I booked the skip the line tickets for both the accademia (David)and the Uffizi gallery. You meet the representative by a local store, so do not get directly into the line. The Accedemia portion was great. However, when we arrived, we were told that our Ufizzi tickets could not be found and there were no tickets left. Definitely disappointing as I booked this weeks in advance. I was given a full refund thankfully. Maybe just buy the tickets directly from the museums.
This was my first bad experience with a Viator booking. We were instructed to arrive 15 minutes early as usual but the operator was not there. When he arrived about 10 minutes later he was not readily identifiable and informed us for the first time we were not getting the Uffizi tickets as advertised. He offered a different day which was no help as this is our final day in Florence. His instructions about entering Accademia were poor. We got better help from a street begger than the person we were paying. I gave this two stars only because Accademia itself is always amazing. Viator failed us.
Way way way too many people. Shoulder to shoulder and a little suffocating. We did skip the line but still got delayed for 1/2 hour before we could even join that line.
The meeting place was as stated however people meeting to give us vouchers were late and weren’t identifiable . The experience was great just not the organization
Timed entry is the way to go! We didn’t do a guided tour, so read everything ourselves but go early if you can!
The Skip the Line is a must because the lines for tickets was extremely long.
Tickets only from a guy who goes and gets them form another guy over the road. You then join queue with the time on ticket
We paid $112 and we didn’t get any extra service. We still waited in the line but not longer than the other one with no guide. The company do nothing but tell us to stand in that lane. No good don’t waste your money please
Your guide will take you theough the music section and some art as well as the David statue and incompleted work by Michelangelo
We were 30 minutes late due to a medical emergency but the guide & eveyone at the academia were so helpful allowing us to skip the line!!!
It’s a bit confusing when you get there to know where to stand and what queue to join so just keep to the side where door 39 is and someone will come and meet you, there are other tour groups meeting there so make sure you listed out for yours !
COMBO TICKET SCAM! I bought a combination ticket to see Accademia and Uffizi in a single day (since we were only in Florence for a day). The night before they emailed saying they couldn’t honor the Uffizi same day and would have to reschedule it to the following or give a refund. I responded asking them to find a way to get us in since I purchased a combo single day ticket. They said they couldn’t and then never responded to any of my follow-up emails about a refund for the Uffizi portion of my tickets. I emailed and messaged 5 times.
