Our entire experience was AMAZING! Getting skip the line tickets was worth every penny, especially with the massive crowds in May. Our guide was very personable and extremely knowledgeable of not only the art but the history behind it as well. Would definitely recommend.

Take the time to gaze upon this masterpiece and admire its beauty from every perspective. In addition to 'David,' the Accademia also has several unfinished Michelangelo sculptures, plus a collection that includes works by Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto, and more. Bruno, our tour guide was great. Very fun and informative, he was very knowledgeable about all the art and we learned so much. Also, was helpful in answering questions. Seeing 'the David" in person was amazing. Overall, our party had a great time!
Leonardo was great. He showed us the masterpieces and explained why they were historically important. Great tour.
Carlos was wonderful. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable (he's a native Florentine) he was also very careful to engage every member of our group of 4. He shared fascinating historical tidbits and did so with Italian charm.
Loved the skip the line Accademia Gallery and Michelangelo’s David Tour. Impressive collection of art and sculpture of David. Enjoyed the sculpture and the musical rooms too. Liked the fact that this gallery wasn’t as busy as the Cathedral and other monuments we toured. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable too. Meeting point was easy to find and for a 8:00 meeting time, it was a safe and easy walk.
Accomodating to our schedule. Depth of knowledge of all topics related to Renaissance Florence. Truly enjoyable.
Steffania was an extremely knowledgeable guide. She did a wonder job of blending art and civic history. Very nice and warm person.
Leonardo was our guide. Do not settle for less. Request Leonardo. We were staying at the Saint Regis and Leonardo used our location as an opportunity to see other interesting sites on the way. He took us by the oldest pharmacy in the world, the oldest building in Florence, the Piazza della Republica, and the Piazza del Duomo where the Florence Cathedral. All of this on the way to give us historical content on the way to see the David. He was full of terrific information and spoke perfect English. The David was spectacular. Seeing it in person was breathtaking. It stands almost 16’. No pictures in books can give you any idea. I’m serious when I say this, a private tour with Leonardo is worth whatever the cost. Bravo Leonardo!
I highly recommend going on this tour. Leonardo was highly knowledgeable and very personable. He took us on a great tour picking us up at our hotel. I would 100% send my friends and family on this tour.
Leonardo was the highlight of our visit to Florence! We were there with a group of 12 friends. We were running a bit late so he met us at the restaurant that we were having lunch at and told us to take our time and he waited outside. He proceeded to take is on a walking tour that was both informative and entertaining. No easy task! One of the couples in our group went back again for another tour with Leonardo a couple of weeks later with a different group. they said that he gave them a completely different tour that was equally interesting. Leonardo is the best!
Leonardo was the best!! Thank you!! He was so informative and took his time to answer all of our questions. He is so knowledgeable and passionate!
Leonardo is a fantastic guide and historian who took two separate groups of friends on different days on tours of Florence. He is a great guy with fascinating insights into the history of the city and Italy as a whole. Highly recommend
Leonardo is a native Florencian, and that made our tour of Florence a 10 out 10. His knowledge of the history of Florence and Italy gave our group the tour of a lifetime! His english is excellent, and he even taught us how the dialect of Florence differs from the rest of Italy. Hoha-Hola to you, Leonardo!
Stefania was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. She got us right into the museum without waiting, and the lines to get in without reservations were very long! So this got us off to a great start. She knows the museum so well that we went through to the most important exhibits and she had excellent commentary, historical knowledge and even some good gossip about the Medici family. And of course, seeing Michelangelo's David was a highlight, especially with Stefania giving us details about the sculptor and sculpture. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the Academia without any stress about lines, who wants to see the David, and enjoys hearing s little art history from a real professional. Thank you Stefania.
What an amazing tour of the city and gallery. Leonado was very knowledgeable and even gave us a few extra places to visit! A must do tour while in Florence
Leonardo with Raphael Tours was an amazing guide for our family in Florence. Leonardo was so well-versed in the history of the city, whether it was Michelangelo, the baptistry beautifully crafted doors, the architecture of the Duomo or the stories of the Medici family. Importantly, he is a born storyteller so kept all the details interesting and entertaining. We couldn't have asked for a better guide for our first trip to Florence. We'll be back and will ask for Leonardo again!
We were an extended family ages ranging 16 to 91. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, super friendly, and entertaining. We were very fortunate because we could have a private tour with just our family since we were 13 people. She went at our pace and patiently answered all of our questions. To me having a guided tour versus trying to figure it out on your own is so worth it and this tour company was fantastic from start to finish!

Julia was an excellent very well informed tour guide. She even provided additional time so that we could see the upstairs museums in the Accademia Gallery. I would recommend her to anyone!

Our guide Duccio was incredible - he gave us such insight into everything we passed but his understanding and enthusiasm for the David was amazing - if you look at the statue from different angles your impression of him changes- and he took us through all that - fabulous!

Our guide Guilia was superb and very responsive to our wishes to see less, see more, go faster, go different, have a café or anything else. She was wonderful I highly recommend a private tour if you want to feel like you are in control of this amazing opportunity.
