Our guide Riccardo was personable, very knowledgable, and kept the perfect pace for us. He’s the man to ask for if you take this tour- there is SO much history to this church we highly recommend having a guide. Plus his overview of the history of Florence before entering the church was enlightening. He knew a lot of great “side stories” besides the historic timeline and biographic info. Couldn’t’ve been better!

Book the guided tour with trip advirsor. It was the first time I had hired this Service through the trip and we were really delighted. Many people when in Florence visit only the duomo the Galleria or the Uffici but there is much more, much more and this Gothic church is well worth a visit and guided since in it are illustrious buried characters. Good work that of Alessandra Pigatto, our guide, a lover of art and history.

Do not miss visiting Florence. It seems to be folding because Florence has countless choices of cathedrals, basilicas and churches, duoms... but this one is different, it's a museum. Worth the guided visit.
