David And Accademia Gallery Private Tour In Florence

We had an excellent guide annd experience, seeing the statue, David and understanding this history of Michelangelo. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Michelangelo‘s past motive and motivation for doing the statue David there’s some amazing details of she pointed out to us that we would have never observed on our own. She also took us through some partially completed statues and describe some of the aspects Michelangelo used in designing them. We learned a lot during this tour and really enjoyed her insights and perspectives. The sound quality of the earbuds was not good and we found it best to listen to her without the headphones. It was a private tour, including just myself, my wife and the guide. This tour is Principal designed around the statue David. The museum is small with little else to see. Regardless, I recommend seeing this statue in person to anyone visiting Florence. It is awesome!

Her insights made us notice details we might easily have overlooked and gave us a much deeper appreciation for Michelangelo’s genius. Seeing David in person was extraordinary. Experiencing it with Irina providing the historical and artistic context made it something more—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget. The Accademia was extremely busy on the day of our visit, so having a private tour and skip-the-line entrance was absolutely worth it. We could not have asked for a better guide or a more memorable experience. Highly recommended.

We went on three tours with Irina and they were all excellent. The tour to the Accademia was focused on David and its creation and journey. Irina is an entertaining and informative speaker and we enjoyed her descriptions and knowledge of how Michelangelo went about his art and comparisons with less talented sculptors. By including references to the various exhibits in the Accademia her account was fascinating and she combines this with iPad presentation of some of the history. It’s a complete breakdown of how David came into being and why it is where it is now. This could be very dry, but Irina makes it entertaining throughout. The other major benefit of booking with Irina is that she pre-books all the tickets and makes sure they’re available for you at the times you want and you never have to queue. To be highly recommended.

Irina was a great guide. She came with a tablet full of illustrations to show us as she talked. Very knowledgeable and continuously pointed out things to see that we would have missed without her guidance. Our questions were answered immediately and in depth.

We were able to be some of the very first people to enter in the early morning tour with our private guide, Irina. We were able to walk right up to David, take unobstructed photos, and see every detail Irina explained right up close. (Just 20 minutes later the room was packed with visitors and getting close would have been impossible!) She was incredibly knowledgeable and truly brought the history and process to life. She’s an amazing guide and I will be pointing my friends who travel to Florence straight to her. Don’t hesitate to book this one!

This tour was exceptional. Irina was really friendly and knowledgeable. There is no way we would’ve experienced David and the other works in the gallery were we to have done this tour on our own, and without her adding all of the extra insights that she did. If you come to see David, you should absolutely do so with a guide. And if you do, you should book this tour with her.

I cannot imagine touring the Galleria dell’Accademia without our guide Irina. To say she was spectacular is an understatement. My wife and I have been on many tours throughout Europe and they're usually miserable -- a couple dozen people, you can hardly hear the guide, you certainly don't get the chance to ask the guide many questions. Honestly, it's a bit of a waste. Irina's tour was the exact opposite. My wife and I booked a private tour with her, and it was just the three of us. Her English was impeccable, and she navigated the site like a true insider. We saw things we would have missed had we tried it alone. She was patient and unbelievably knowledgeable, spending as much or as little time as we wanted at a particular exhibit. I'm not exaggerating when I say she made the trip an unforgettable experience. Should we ever return to Florence, we certainly will book a tour with Irina again. Thank you so much!

10/10 recommend! Outside the museum was absolutely crazy and she helped to get into the museum in less than 5 min. She shared a lot of little known information and never missed an opportunity to give her own insights into the David. Good balance between sharing information and allowing time to take in the art work. The experience would have been totally different without her. She supplied head sets so it was very easy to hear her even amidst all the other sounds.

Irina is exceptional! There is so much history in Florence and she shares it in a fascinating and entertaining way. She is a master storyteller who also knows the ins and outs of getting the most out of each site. We hired her for 3 separate tours in one day: to see David, Santa Croce, and Palazzo Vecchio. Her tours gave us a much deeper understanding of these sites and their significance. She kept each tour interesting and moving along. We all loved our time with her.
