Our tour guide, Marilena, was so knowledgable, friendly, and kind. We enjoyed each room she took us too. Afterwards, she recommended some nice places to eat.
Angelo was a great guide for our first trip to Florence. He showed important sites of the city and gave us the history to make it interesting. It finished with a visit to the Accademia. We were all entertained including our teenagers.
Annette was a gem! She took great care of our group, was extremely knowledgeable, kind and fun! She answered all our questions and you can tell she has a passion for her job!
It was a great experience with this walking tour to two of the most famous art landmarks in Florence. Sarah at Uffizi was knowledgeable, witty and engaging as well as the male guide at the Galleria Della Academia at 09:30 whose name I forgot. He was really good with the same qualities. What a great time!
I would argue that the actual tour "The David" and Ufuzzi Gallery stand on their own. What made the tour was Sara as she is dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Sara for any tour she is involved in.
Valentina our guide was amazing and so informative thank you. Such a beautiful place to visit so much history
We had a very inspiring tour and learned valuable history! Highly recommend anyone wanting to learn about the history of art and how the statue of David came to be!
Was delayed getting in to see David which then caused us to have to leave early to meet the second group at Uffizi.
Great experience on this tour! Stefano was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable and very friendly. It was about an hour long because it only covers the Michelangelo statues in the museum, which was perfect for us!
The David & Accademia Guided Tour with Timed Entry was perfect! Sarah was an excellent guide. I learned so much from her telling of Michaelangelo's story and really appreciated the extra photos of other earlier Davids that she brought with her (nice touch!) The length of the tour was just right, not too long and not too short. I highly recommend this tour.
Very organized, considering how busy the gallery was that day. Great guide. Valentina was personable, witty, informative, and highly knowledgeable. You could tell she took pride in her work, as, she got a very noisy crowd of people to keep their voices down…even if only temporarily. Highly recommend!
Skipping the large number of people waiting outside in line was a definite plus! If you aren’t a huge art/history person this is the perfect tour. There was just enough information provided but not the in depth, over my head experience I have had on some of the other tours I have taken in the area.
Stephano was an excellent guide-he was very knowledgeable about the acadamia and Michaelangelo -
Timed entry is the ONLY way to go! Our guide was fantastic. The only downgrade comes from the tech. It was difficult during most of the tour to clearly hear the guide.
Very good tour. Lots of information. Audio however had some static in it that made it difficult to hear.
Mari was amazing and full of knowledge. Truly enjoyed the tour! It was an hour but incredible. Thanks!
Great tour! It was not too long but just enough time. Our ticket allowed us to preview the museums. I would definitely recommend.
Angela is an outstanding tour guide. She was full of knowledge and enthusiasm and made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend her for your next tour.
Pauline was a great tour guide and taught us so much! It was obvious that she loves her job and that came across in the overall tour!
Great tour! Guide was wonderful! Very knowledgeable. Fantastic to see The David in person. Great tour!!
I purchased a guided tour of the Accademia and under “What’s included”, it lists guaranteed skip-the-line access and entrance to the Uffizi. We received neither. I understand the tour company cannot control crowds, but it shouldn’t list guarantee to skip the line, if it’s not true. Also, we were unable to visit the Uffizi during our trip because we couldn’t secure last minute tickets when we found out we didn’t get access. It shouldn’t be listed as included if it’s not true. Lastly, the earpieces that the tour provides to listen to the tour guide are very old and don’t stay in small ears. I requested a refund and was denied without speaking to anyone.
The experience was awesome. Will recommend it to others.
The best tour we’ve taken, and we’ve taken many in our 3 1/2 weeks in Italy so far. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The (original) David brought tears to my eyes. Spectacular.
The 1 hour tour was more like 2, although our guide was very knowledgeable at times it was drawn out a bit too much. A brief history would be great but more time to explore on our own would have been better
Very crowded. Guide we had could not be understood. Ear pieces were not good. Fit some people’s ear, others not so much. We left the tour after 10 minutes inside and did it on our own.
Good tour with a guide who was very knowledgeable. Did not feel rushed as guided tours sometimes can.
The tour guide for the Accademia had a lot of information but spent so much time on Michelangelo’s prisoner series that I had to miss a lot of the other parts of the gallery towards the end. I did not like having to rush from the Accademia to meet my next guide at the Uffizi gallery in 25 minutes when it takes 20 minutes to get there. I would recommend that you book the galleries on two separate days or with at least 2 to 3 hours apart. Sarah, the Uffizi gallery tour, was amazing and knowledgeable. She did a great job highlighting all of the important paintings. She also did really well with having to wait for half of our group to show because it was pouring rain and most of the group was late coming from the Accademia so far away. My last complaint would be that we had to wait for over an hour IN line when we had the Skip the Line passes. The guide explained that it was because it was raining, but that is not really a good excuse because an hour is not SKIPPING the line.
Great way to spend a few hours. Soak in the incredible views everywhere in this gorgeous city, listening to the history our guide Pauline told us, and finish up with a viewing of David in the Academia.
I am in Florence for just 1 day and my guided tours to the David and the Duomo were perfect. My guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Highly recommended both for the full experience.
Great tours with Stefano today for the Best of Florence Walking Tour with Michelangelo's David and Duomo with Stefano! Very informative and we enjoyed all the history and knowledge he shared with us. Highly recommended.
Definitely book with a guide as you skip the line but also have someone with passionate knowledge regarding Michaelangelo, his life and the skill of creating sculptures from a young age. David is a masterpiece.
Giovanna was very knowledgeable, we got into the museum with ease, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Annette was so knowledgeable and really brought Florence to life for us!
We had a great time with Giovanna! During this tour she was incredibly conscientious, making sure we had time to stop in the shade and sit down where possible. She gave us a great amount of detail about the history of Florence, as well as an idea of how Florence is during the current times. The walking tour was brilliant and gave us time to understand more about the local artwork too. Then, seeing and understanding how David was made really was a fabulous experience. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to learn about key historical landmarks and understand the history behind David's sculpture. Thank you for making this an unforgettable tour Giovanna!
Guide was informative. Skip the line was great. Meeting location was difficult until we figure out had to add both streets for intersection.
Great guide - very knowledgeable
Angela (AR) was such a beautiful storyteller. We just loved this tour and the way she delivered the magnificent history of Florence to us.
Our guide Angela was amazing! She was knowledgeable and kind and made sure that we were able to experience the best of Florence. We would highly recommend this tour-and especially Angela!
Very well organized and the fact that we got in on time and professional knowledgeable to guide take us through the museum
Giovanna was amazing and the tour wonderful. I would do another tour with City Wonders for sure. I will not be using Viator again however. Due to a poor experience with another tour.
The whole experience was 10/10. Our guide Antonella was extremely informative, captivating, entertaining genuinely a lovely person. She bought Florence and its history alive. I would absolutely recommend to everyone visiting for a day or longer. Thank you.
Our guide was outstanding. Very interesting and informative. The museum is beautiful and the statue of David was magnificent
Viator SHOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO BOOK UFFIZI TOUR AS AN “OPTION” WHEN YOU BOOK A DAVID/ACCADEMIA GUIDED TOUR—-ONLY BOOK THEM SEPARATELY. I felt bad for having to leave the tour guide early, because Viator doesn’t coordinate the full Accademia tour + the Uffizi when you pay $200+ to see them both!!!!! They don’t tell you that when you add the “option” for Uffizi that you are going to have to walk 20 minutes from Accademia to get there to meet your NEW guide and make sure you don’t miss the “option” you paid for. You could have booked them separately and planned out the time better so you don’t have to do what we did—-cut the Accedemia tour short and miss all the guided tour details we PAID FOR! They were 30 minutes late in getting our group through, and since the “Uffizi Option” is not coordinated with this tour, we only had 15 MINUTES with the tour guide before we had to turn in our headset to be able to 1.) See David without the guide we paid for and 2.) leave the gallery without time to even see what else we were looking at before we found the exit door to make the Uffizi tour on time. I wish I could get some of my $250 back for what I didn’t get to enjoy and I wish I didn’t have to leave the tour guide so quickly because Viator doesn’t know how to connect two different galleries into one tour.
Very interesting and educational. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and great at presenting information on Michael Angelo
We absolutely loved our tour with Paulo! He was so knowledgeable and had some fun insights into parts of the gallery I hadn't been to before. We loved his explanations, his energy and timing to allow us to experience the David as much as we desired. It was a wonderful experience, and highly recommend asking for Paulo!!
Valentina was a great tour guide. Super knowledgeable and humorous.
The guided tour, talking 👄 about David a lot. They didn't tell us that you can't have any liquid in your bag. I purchased two small wines as a survivor that I throw it away during security check
Worth the time to take a guided tour as you learn a lot of things you probably wouldn't know about the statue David and Michelangelo. It was well organized. The tour operator was pleasant and well spoken. And you really want to skip the line in the heat!
The meeting point was easy to find. Getting into the academia was maybe a 10 minute wait security and we were in. The guide Marcello was great. And there was a gift shop for more could you want?
