The hosts were lovely and more than accomodating. We took our 2 year old and all of the staff were so lovely and helpful with her and more than included her. We are so happy and the experience was one not to miss.

Great time learning to make pasta and tiramisu from scratch. Chef Vic was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Small class (14) made for easy conversation and laughs! Finished off with our delicious creations.
Alice was amazing and helpful learnt new skills to take back to Australia. We use these skills to wow friends when they come to dinner.
This class was such fun!!! Alice was a wonderful teacher and taught us how to make ravioli, fettuccine, bolognese sauce and tiramisu. We ate everything that we made and it was fantastic! Absolutely loved the trip to the market to buy the beef and sausage for the sauce. Incredible array of products with a cheese tasting! A+++++++ tour!
Fun atmosphere, but professional enough for us to learn and get great information. Loved learning about the market as well. Can’t wait to try out all I learned at home.
We booked this tour through Viator weeks ahead of time and received a message that our confirmation would be cancelled because there was a problem in their system. I had to scramble to find another tour for a cooking class. They need to correct the system so this doesn’t continue to happen. I do not recommend booking this tour.
The cooking class was super fun but... We were sent the wrong address of location to meet, which made us late to the market tour. We never got the recipe book we were promised, even though they took our emails to do so The only reason I leave a low review is because after reading more reviews after taking the class we were not the only people to have these issues. I hope they would fix them after the first time someone had them.
The food was fabulous. The chef was so knowledgeable about history oh food and the market was an added bonus
Loved our chef ,Tommaso. Friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The tour of the market was fun,, though a bit hard to hear if you stood in the back, He arranged a tasting that was a nice surprise at the cheese counter Back at the cooking school the pace was pleasant and easy to follow. I am confident I cam make the dishes at home Great lesson, great value for money. Be sure to confirm meeting address with tour operator in a Florence . Viator sent us wrong address
Excellent experience! We cook a lot, but we really enjoyed the market tour, watching the demonstration, making pasta and tiramisu. Tommaso was fantastic!
Good activity and experience but Viator sent the wrong meeting point address so we missed the start.
If you ever have an opening for me to be your hobbit helper. I’m there. Thank you. Best experience EVERRRRR
We LOVE Emanuele! He is not only a fantastic chef but also greatly impressed us with his knowledge (and curiosity) in culture and history - the great discussion we had added much more flavor and memory beyond the three course meal we learned to make! The course started with a visit to the market where we also had a small side tour tasting samples of delicious local products, with their making and philosophy being explained. It is followed by a well orchestrated class learning making a three course meal. As we are very lucky to have a small class (only 2 participants), we get to do most of the hands on work other than cutting. Emanuele has a great sense of humor and we enjoyed the process thoroughly!
To be welcomed by a friendly and interesting chef. Taste and chat with a selection of products from the Florence market. Learn simply and without complex how to make fresh pasta and tiramisu. And be able to do it again at home a week later! Thanks to the chef for his generosity, his patience, his gourmet secrets
The 6 hours went by very quickly. First a quick stop at the market to learn not just about the purchases for the meal but also a tasting of olive oil, balsamic etc. Then back to the "lab" to start to cook - and this is a hands on class not a tourist class where you watch the chef. We learned many things ...... of what we were doing wrong back home. Entertaining local chef where we learned so much about Italian food but also about local Italian life and Tuscany tradition and history. One of the highlights of our trip.
It was the perfect rainy day activity with Thomas! At first, my group had a hard time locating the meeting point but, Thomas quickly found us. From there, we walked over to the market while Thomas gave us a quick introduction. Once at the market, Thomas taught us about the different types of pastas, cheeses, meats that were available for purchase. What I really appreciated was that Thomas gave us the option to stop by the truffle stall and he let us know that there is no obligation to purchase. The truffle presentation was well done and we ended up purchasing a few items. After the market tour, we headed to the kitchen and got right to work. We learned how to make a proper ragu with pork and beef, bruschetta, tiramasu and fresh spaghetti pasta. We finished the class over a few glasses of wine and all of our food that we prepared. We met lifelong friends and Thomas was an amazing instructor!
One of the best cooking schools I have ever visited, From the Market to the Table in Florence is a beautiful and welcoming environment for both expert and novice cooks. I love all the people and I would never say no to coming back again. Recommended for all!
Had a fun morning preparing fresh pasta, ragu, bruschetta & tiramisu. The visit to the Market was great, only wish we had been with the chef as he selected ingredients. Facility was very modern and clean. Our food turned out delicious. My biggest suggestion to make this tour better would be to make the meeting point the market. We met up at a spot about 1/2 mile away on the side of the road, only to walk to the market, then to walk again to the kitchen facility. This made no sense to me.
I highly recommend this cooking class!!! Our local chef Emmanuel provided great detailed instructions on preparation & cooking techniques including the details of ingredients such as the meat, vegetables, olive oil & spices, proper handling, and the chemistry of food science!!! Emmanuel is an excellent teacher and chef, he is warm, entertaining and has a sense of humor! The menu we learned & prepared from Emmanuel was by far the best food experience I had in my trip to Florence, especially my "gnocchi" dish, simply amazing!!! Grazie Emmanuel!
This was fantastic!!! Loved Manuel and his personality was incredible. Food we made absolutely fantastic! 10 out of 10 for this class!!!! Lynde
Hands-on lesson. Small group, 10 people. Thomas was charming and very informative. Enjoyed our class very much. Recipes were received so I can cook at home.
We had a fantastic time with Manuel visiting the Central Market, the Olive Oil store and learning to cook pasta, tiramisu and other delights. Manuel shared his sometimes comical opinion of cooking and table etiquette, Italian history, politics, and anything else we brought up. Our only complaint is that while we enjoyed the meals, we are not able to enjoy them at home. The meal recipes were not provided while we were there, and although they were promised to be emailed, they were never sent. Make sure you receive the recipes before you leave! We would have rated this experience higher if the recipes were provided so we could recreate the meal at home.
We had a great time! The trip to the market and sampling was informative and fun and the experience in general was even better than outlined. Emanuele made it really a memorable morning. We made pasta with ragu, bruschetta and tiramisu. We also had wine with our meal. The food was outstanding and we laughed a lot during the morning. It was a very good time for my daughters and Me. The group was seven or eight - perfect - all nice folks. Oh, we learned quite a bit too! Thank you Emanuele! There is not a classsification for us - we are family but grown ups!
Everything I wanted it to be. I would have liked though when we went to the market (since I don’t cook) for the chef to show me how he picks out produce, flour etc. I did like the oil presentation, the lady was awesome! Everything was great! The best meal I had in Italy 🥰
The class is a very casual, low key cooking class. Starting with a quick visit to the local Mercato for supplies, and a cool education on local balsamic vinegar, the course is a complete lesson in properly making one of the best local dishes. Chef Emanuele has a fun casual, lighthearted style. Take good note, take photos or take video, because a ton of what he teaches is not included in the recipes he provides. Everyone gets to participate. The dishes we made were Ragu with fresh pasta and Tiramisu. They turned out amazing! The day went by quickly and the dishes were delicious. Plenty of wine was also included. I would say it is good for all ages over 16 +/-. Enjoy
Learned so much. Drank tasty Chianti. The tour through the market was very informative. It was fun picking out what we needed to cook with. And never a dull moment with our chef for the day-Emmanuel!
A highlight of our trip! We enjoyed the very interesting market trip, preparing the food - which was delicious! Our chef was very patient and knowledgeable. Thank you Thomas for your great class!
Although our guide was late for pickup and the instructions for meeting him were not very great, once we got to the kitchen, it was a fun experience. Our chef was very engaging and talkative, and we enjoyed learning how to make all the items on the menu. We did the class with kids and it was probably borderline for them, but worth the time.
We had Thomas as our Chef and he was incredible. Patient, energetic and took the time to explain everything he was doing. Such a treat
Our chef, Thomas, was personable and efficient. The class was fun and the resulting food was delicious. I would have rated this class a 5 but I never received the recipes of the food that we cooked. Thomas promised he would send them and took our email addresses to do so. Our friends who also attended the class did not receive the recipes either.
Tomas ‘s class was beyond expectations He was knowledgeable in every aspect of the process and explained clearly and precisely We didn’t feel rushed he made us very much part of each process I’d recommend this experience 2 EVERYONE Thanx Tomas. U were a joy Glenda
Chef Thomas met our small group and took us to the kitchen*. It was a short walk and we had some initial conversation on the way. The facility was brightly lit clean and well appointed. All ingredients were fresh and well stocked. We did all of the cooking after each step was explained...you do not watch the Chef cook! We began with Tiramisu allowing it to chill for a time while we continued preparing the rest of the meal. The Bolognese sauce was next up and it simmeredd while we moved on to the Bruschetta. Last but not least was the pasta. We were instructed on the proper measuring and rolling techniques before we made the Tagliatelle for our meal. After the cooking was done we enjoyed the fruits of our labore (and some wine!) while chating with Chef Thomas. Chef Thomas was freindly, patient, and walked us through every step, demonstrating all the techniques. I thouroghly enjoyed this class and would recommend it to all. *This class was booked on a holiday so the Market was not open to shop, but this was understood before booking.
We turned up at our meeting point expecting to go to the market to be told it is closed on a Sunday. We were not aware of this before so we paid full price and didnt get the full experience. Careful if you book a Sunday. We had to walk about half an hour to the kitchen which is located under a leather shop in a cellar. Clean but no windows. It wasn't even open so the guide had to get a key whilst we waited. We did bruschetta, bolognaise, tiramisu. The end product was ok however the whole experience was a little scatty and disorganised. Chef Tatianna was a lovely lady and lot of fun but was not organised. It has to be said so that the produce we used was SHOCKING. She got it out the fridge and half of it had gone off. Disgusting when the market will have been open only the day before. She also had to open up sausages for meat as there was no beef as we had been told. Tatianna also got us working pizza dough for the class after us trying to sell to us that it was an extra learning experience but we were well aware we were only helping her to prep as she had not done it in advance as she should have. Tatianna disappeared at the end and only reappeared to push us putting a five star review. She told us that they were not number 1 rated and I can see why. I wish we had done the other cooking class in the Tuscan Hills. Overall it was ok and passed time but not quite the authentic Italian cooking class we had expected and for £148 for two people, it was not worth the money.
Absolutely amazing. Tiziana was soooo much fun & vibrant!! She gave us a genuine Italian cooking experience. It should be known that I am not a cook at all !! I made the reservation bc my goddaughter loves cooking. If it wasn’t for her , I would have missed this super duper opportunity. However, Tiziana inspired me to go back to the USA & COOK Italiano food !! Yaaaaaay !!! Anyone that knows me will never believe this but thank goodness for pictures. We made tiramisu, bruschetta , HAND MADE tagliatelle & yummy sauce!! If you want to experience Florence then Cook with Tiziana!!
A highly recommended experience We were greeted at the meeting location by Chef Tiziano. What a delightful person. As we were booked on a Sunday, unfortunately the market was not open, but we did walk by, and it was described to us in detail. A short walk later we arrived at her "classroom". Spotless and bright. Chef then got us started. First was making Tiramisu. After we made them and while chilling, onto preparing the sauce for the pasta. Chopping the vegetables and mixing and most importantly laughing and learning about the love of cooking. Next was making the pasta from scratch. Great fun. Then we made the Bruschetta. After all was done we sat down, with a glass of wine, and enjoyed what we had just prepared. What we had just prepared was the nicest and tastiest I have had. Maybe it was the love of cooking Chef Tiziano demonstrated to us, because I know I would not have been able to do this without her exuberant personality. Thank you Chef Tiziano.
Had fun and made a great meal! Met chef Taziana and went to the market, we had a chance to purchase anything we wanted. Then we went to the kitchen and she went step by step and we all had a hand in making every item from appetizer pasta dish and dessert! Chef Taziana was funny and had great energy!
From the moment we met I knew this lady would make our experience unforgettable! Even on a rainy day she brought sunshine to the whole day. A very delightful sense of humor who brought total strangers together for an afternoon of fun and education. And did I mention the food?! So yummy, so fresh just bought from the market tour we went on and we even made our own pasta and a complete 3 course meal. The toast at the end was the perfect finish to an absolutely wonderful day. Thank you Chef Titziana! You’re simply the best of the best!
Chef Tziana was exceptional. My husband normally doesn't cook but Chef engages everyone and he totally got into it. Of course the meal was delicious.
Loved this cooking class! Tizana was so funny and helpful. We made pasta from scratch, bologanase sauce, taramisu and bruschetta. Learned so much and it was so much fun! Would definitely recommend this tour!
We had the best morning and afternoon! It was just the two of us with Chef Tiziana on our tour today. We started out the morning at San Lorenezo Market and Tiziana showed us around to the best places to get each of our ingredients for the class later. We were able to taste lots of authentic Italian treats along the way - cheese, truffles, honey, etc! Then we went to the kitchen and made delicious bruschetta, tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, and tiramisu to end our lunch. Tiziana was great about explaining all the steps and why each is done and we shared a fantastic lunch with wine!
What a wonderful time!!! We were able to make a delicious authentic Italian meal from scratch with Tiziana. Such a blast!
This was our honeymoon and we had a great time w Tiziana! Very authentic and we cooked some delicious food.
Tiziana was our tour guide and chef for our visit to the market and cooking in Florence while we visited for our anniversary. She was fun and engaging and patient with us as we learned from her to prepare a 3 course authentic meal and had some lovely red wine. This event is a great way to spend a day while in Florence.
You have to take this cooking class with Tiziana for authentic, flavourful Italian cooking. She is the best. Extremely patient, friendly and walks you through every step and technique with ease. Uses the freshest ingredients and She is so much fun too. Highly recommended!! My best day in Italy so far😃
My wife and I had a wonderful day with Tiziana! We met across from the central train station before she took us through the market tour. She knew everyone there, educated us on the local food, and even allowed us to taste with some of the vendors. We then cooked some simply amazing food (along with some great wine) and her wonderful company. The cooking course was great, but the best part was spending time with her and getting to chat with a local. We'll definitely cook the dishes at home, she remember the time we all spent together. Book this tour, it will be the highlight of your stay!
My husband and I took this cooking class/ tour with Thomas Marchetti, and had an amazing experience. We began this tour in the market, and got to experience and taste a variety of things, such as cheeses, meats, truffle spread and oils. We then shopped for the ingredients of which we’d continue on to cook with Thomas. We made fresh pasta, bruschetta, and tiramisu. The entire experience was fun, and we learned some amazing dishes and skills. Thomas was a pleasure to spend the morning/ early afternoon with. I would highly recommend this tour if you’re interested in experiencing a cooking class in Florence.
From the moment we met Tiziene, we knew we were in for a treat! She is warm and funny and so knowledgeable. The market trip was fantastic with lots of lovely samples. The class is so generous - we cooked bruschetta, ragu, fresh pasta and tiramisu - such big helpings AND we got wine! I recommend this to anyone wanting to do a cooking class in Italy.
On April 18th 2019, my family attended this cooking class in Florence. We made Bruschetta, Tiramisu and Taglietella with Chef Tiziana. She was very engaging, educated us on Italian cuisine and made the six hour cooking experience fun & truly memorable. We had the best time & ate some of the best food in her class. Thank you Tiziana for getting our kids interested in cooking Italian cuisine. We hope to take another class with you someday.
We really enjoyed the trip through the market and being able to taste samples of truffles and cheese. Making the pasta was my favorite. It felt slightly disorganized because they were in a recently-renovated kitchen, but the instruction was good and the food was delicious! Unfortunately they did not have recipes to give us to take home, and although they promised to email them, they didn't :(
Chef Tiziana did an excellent job showing my friend and I how to cook an authentic Italian meal with brusetta, pasta, and tirimui! We really enjoyed going to San Lorenzo market to get the vegetables and meat we needed for the sauce. Would definitely recommend. She gave us cooking tips and and encouraged us throughout the class!
