The day was amazing. The guide was excellent and very informative. The attention and to detail and taking the time to make sure everyone was comfortable with riding. The lunch after the ride was also outstanding. I had a great time with 5 out of 5.

A total must-do if you truly want to embrace Tuscany with your whole heart (and maybe a little dramatic flair). There is simply nothing like cruising through the rolling Italian countryside on a Vespa — wind in your hair, sun on your face, vineyards blurring past like you’re starring in your own European film. Somehow the second you hop on, you’re no longer a tourist… you’re Italiano. 🇮🇹 You start gesturing with one hand (safely, of course), craving espresso at every turn, and contemplating which hilltop village will be your future summer home. It’s freedom, it’s romance, it’s a tiny engine carrying big main-character energy. Bellissima, bravissima, and absolutely unforgettable.
Sveva was our guide- gave great instruction for safety and guided us through 2 beautiful Towns in Chianti and a vineyard. It’s such a great way to get outside and see the beautiful scenery. We had a pick up location where a driver brought us to the Vespa location. It was about a 40 min drive- there was a little difficulty finding each other but the call center was very helpful.
Terrible customer service, this was the trip we were looking forward to the most so just really disappointing, poor service.I won’t recommend to my friends or family.
Please check the pick-up point.. we were never told that we have to reach Siena at 9:30 am for a departure... The title says from Florence and they NEVER booked that for us, which should have been INCLUDED.. a Very bad experience, and we are hoping to get a refund because this was a scam. PLEASE CLEAR EVERYTHING OUT WITH VIATOR. We had to cancel this experience because of this company not making our booking clear.
It began with a failure to pass the Vespa driving test. A little unfair as, unless you have been on a motorbike recently, you most likely will fail! We wound up in a 1960’s vintage Fiat 500 following the pack of Vespas. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone but we got the best deal - no cold hands, no bugs in your teeth and free hands to take lots of photos! I do think it would be a good idea for the tour company to indicate that you would need to pass a driving test in order to participate.
A nightmare. Our Vespa and Wine tour was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. I asked before booking what happens if it rains (the forecast said 90% chance) and they said a full refund would be permitted. Our tour was rained out and the company could not provide alternative because they didn’t have one for the large group. They refused to offer a full refund like they had promised. Also, just a warning that vespas are incredibly dangerous. (My party all signed waivers and knew and were happy to take the risk). In the morning, about 15 minutes into the tour and the couple in front of us got in a terrible accident with a local transport truck, it was traumatizing for every member in the group. I was right behind the accident and I will remember the horror of what I saw my entire life. We waited for ambulance for over nearly two hours and the company did nothing to comfort the rest of the group. Not even offered a bottle of water. Extraordinary circumstances do happen but this company failed at handling this experience. The rain poured heavily and made it unsafe to continue, they couldn’t provide an alternative and we were denied any kind of refund. Would never trust this company again, ever.
Terrible! After driving 40 mins we arrived at departure place at 920am was told they left at 930am but has already gone. Said no refund as well which we will argue. Please don’t book.
Great time and our guide gave us extra time to explore. Several stops and a good lunch. Exactly what you think of when you think of Tuscany.
Diego was a great tour guide. Very good at driving vespas. 10/10. Tour had 4-5 stops including a very good lunch. Very hot outside in June but worth it
Amazing experience with our guide Diego from My Tour. He was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we're comfortable enough with our Vespas before the tour started. He took us to very nice spots during our tour. This was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Highly recommended if you enjoy wine and Vespas.
We had a lovely tourguide named Lucca. We wouldn't have minded a somewhat higher pace than 30km/h. The winetasting and lunch were great!
Matt, our guide, is an excellent instructor - in spite of my poor Vespa driving skills. The tour itself is BREATHTAKING. It basically convinced us to change our tickets and stay in Florence for longer. This tour is a must for those with a taste for adventure!
We had a great Vespa tour by our guide. Learned us how to ride the Vespa, showed us around in the area + gave a good Wine tasting. Funny and pleasant chats with the guides. Highly recommended!
Even though I was not capable of driving my own Vespa (after a short lesson), the tour operator was flexible and ended up driving it with me on the back. It was fun to have my first ride on a Vespa in Italy! The weather wasn't the greatest but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. The tour operator thought ahead and brought an extra rain jacket, which came in handy for me a couple of hours into the tour. Aside from riding the Vespas, we spent time walking around small village on top of a hill, visited an old castle, and stopped for a winery tour, lunch and tasting. I'd recommend it! Be prepared to spend time at the beginning of the tour waiting around while everyone practices riding a Vespa or driving the Fiat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Staff were helpful and friendly. Countryside was beautiful, as was the lunch at the winery. Would highly recommend this tour.
great tour! before you all leave they make sure you can ride/drive the vespa in the parking lot. I will admit it was rough driving in the small driveway they have you practice in , but it was so easy and fun once you get on the road. If you dont pass the test, they have other options to accomadate! Winery was great and the little small towns you stop in were great!
This was the most fun we have had in Italy, (and we have had a lot of fun)! Our guide Christian was awesome. He did a great job of getting us ready for the ride and making everything fun and exciting. His knowledge and passion made this tour the best it could possibly be!! The sights were breathtaking and the food and wine were wonderful. Please take the day and spend it with Walkabout tours on Vespas, you won’t regret it. Worth twice the fee.
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Florence! My husband had a blast riding the vespa through the countryside! The views are absolutely breathtaking, just don't get distracted if you are the driver. Some of the roads we went on had a bit of traffic, with tons of cars trying to overtake us. It will definitely help to have some experience riding a bike.
A great tour! I'm not a Vespa driver, at least that's what I quickly learned during the lesson portion before the tour. Had a bit of difficulty getting accustom to driving and steering a Vespa. So my tour guides recommended me to the tiny Fiat as an alternative. I can drive stick so it was no problem. The tour was simply excellent as we drove through the country side. We stopped for some great wine, a light lunch, later for some gelato, a medieval castle and even a picture perfect, postcard like photo-op on a long cypress lined vineyard road! To take in the Tuscan country side on a Vespa, or even a tiny Fiat, is tour you will never forget.
This was a great break from seeing beautiful sites ie Vatican, Uffizi galleria and such. No lines out riding in the countryside and tasting wine with a nice lunch. Then we rode to some more small towns had gelato and was back in Florence by 6 pm And watched some American football down at the Irish pub
We had the best time. The guys were very knowledgeable snd kind. Best winery snd food. You must do this tour...
Our Guide Lorenzo was the best. He took us all over the Chianti region. My first experience of riding a Vespa and also visiting such beautiful places, people. It was an absolute joy. You could not wipe the smile from my face all day. Thank you again Lorenzo for making this experience memorable
The panoramic view of the wine country was unforgettable and absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed riding on the Vespa and our lunch/ wine tasting was fabulous as well. It was rather a slow start because it took them 2 hours to check everyone in with authorizing information. We only had the pleasure of visiting one place for our wine tasting the other places were more site seeing and a quick stop for gelato. It would have been nice to have seen more places that made wine and more wine sampling. They were very concerned about our safety and were very friendly.
We got more than we thought from this tour. The start was a little rocky with a mass of people all gathered at the same pickup point for a number of different MyTours tours near the bus terminal in Florence. It was not very well organized. Once we boarded a rather large transport for the 3 couples we had, things got better. The ride into the Tuscan landscape from Florence toward Sienna could have been part of the tour, but the driver spoke very little. Once at the Vespa place in Badesse, we met our guides and others who would be part of the tour. We had a very brief driving test for the Vespa, which was not real relevant to our actual ride. I failed and could not have my wife ride with me (that changed for the good later). Once on the road, the trip was fantastic. We rode on a very picturesque roadway winding through the vineyards to the small town of Castellina in Chianti. This was a very quaint little town with a church and castle and the remains of a city wall. It was a short pit stop on the way to the Poggio winery. Great lunch and generous wine tastings, with ample time to for it to settle before getting back on the vespa, although it would have been nice to have a little more our of the vineyard and wine making process. Then it was back on the road for dessert - gelato of course. Having watched my performance on the road, our guide Lorenzo allowed the wife to ride with me. That made the trip even that much better. What a way to see the Tuscan countryside. From here we made our way up to the castle at Monteriggioni. The town is completely inside the walls of the castle. Just like in the days of old, there was a thriving community inside the walls. Very neat town. Sadly, the trip had to end. We rode back to the dropoff point through the beautiful countryside. Once there though, we had no transfer back to Florence. Finally, our guides led us to our transfer - a full-sized tour bus for 3 couples. It was needless to say, quite roomy. Our guides, Lorenzo and Duitte (sp), were fun and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.
It was raining and cold the day of our tour so we ended up taking the tour in Fiat 500's. Our guide was excellent and we had a terrific time!

Not the best tour. The vespas were not in good shape. We declined renting them and opted for the Fiat 500 instead. The towns are beautiful and worth exploring but this tour was not.

Very frustrated and disappointed. We booked our full day Tuscan Vespa tour for a Tuesday. I screen shot the booking confirmation that showed all the details of the date, time and price. An hour later I received the voucher for the tour and the date was for an entirely different day. I tried to change it and it said both the date I originally booked it for and the new voucher date were completely sold out. We went to a local booking agency and they informed us that they repeatedly have this issue with this exact company - where they double book tours and change the dates without confirming the day and time work for the guests OR completely cancel the tour last minute. I attempted to get a refund but the site said no refunds for anything 48 hours or less. I also tried contacting the tour company directly but they were of no assistance. Luckily, I was able to contact Trip Advisor who transferred me to Viator and after almost 90 minutes on the phone with them, I was able to get my full refund. To this tour company- it is unprofessional and rude to just change dates and times of tours without verifying with the guests first- you don’t know what their plans or schedules are, and most likely (such as was our case) they booked the tour for the date and time that worked for them. Moral- make sure you take a screenshot of your booking confirmation and compare it to the actual voucher you receive to make sure they haven’t changed anything. It also will protect you when they try to not refund you.
The tour started out promising but definitely got worse throughout the day. After doing our check-rides of the vespa, they brought us over to the newer vespas for the tour. I have driven a Vespa before, so was comfortable prior to our departure. As I started driving, I quickly learned my rear break did not work but luckily didn’t crash too hard. I don’t know why this wasn’t checked prior to putting a customer on the vehicle!! After they put me on a new Vespa, a few of the other riders got nervous and decided to ride in one of the vintage fiats. Even one of the employees said that was a better choice because of how many accidents there were (as seen by the missing mirrors on a few of the vespas...). I too then decided to ride in one of the fiats. This was definitely the best perk! After our stop at the winery, one of the fiats needed a new wheel and instead of putting those passengers with the tour guide or in the back of one of the other fiats (or sending the rest of the tour along), they made us wait an entire HOUR before the repair man showed up to replace the tire. When replacing the tire, they only added 3 of 4 bolts on and said it was good to go. Because we had to wait an hour, we only got to stop for 15 minutes in one other village and needed to head back. We didn’t get to stop at any scenic views of the vineyards and overall very disappointed.

This trip was amazing. It was all day with a great lunch and wine tasting. Everyone was so nice and the views of Tuscany were breath taking. I was too small for the vespa and they accommodated me with a fiat while the others rode vespas and I had a blast. It was nice that I knew how to drive a manuel.

We originally wanted to do a half day tour of the area around Florence, but it was not available when we tried to book it. This full day tour of the Chianti region was available for about the same price. We took an hour van ride out to a town near Sienna. After brief instruction on the Vespas, eight of us took off in a combination of Vespas and a vintage Fiat on a tour of the local area which included Castello Monteriggione. Michele, our guide, explained the history of the area and the significance of the route that the castle guarded. On to a small hilltop town for more exploring, then onto Poggio Amorelli winery for some amazing wines and a great lunch. After sufficient time to walk off our lunch and refreshments, we were off to Rada which offered some amazing views of the countryside. Overall, a fun and exciting day and we came home with some great wine, cheese and oils.

A nice day out with a Vespa ride through the Tuscan country side.
Lunch was really good at a local winery.

What a great day out! The Vespas were in great condition and easy to ride coming from someone with no prior experience. The route through Tuscany is gorgeous with very little traffic to contend with. Our guide Bill? was great and his enthusiasm for the region is infectious. We also enjoyed the wine tasting lunch break at the beautiful winery.

This was the highlight of our trip. We were both lucky to have experience riding bikes, so the pre test was easy. Riding in the countryside was absolutely amazing. Walking in the vineyard fun. The markets, the awesome vine tasting and lunch .A Must Do!
If you can't ride you can also double with the instructors.

This was without doubt the best day of our honeymoon to Florence. After some trepidation about my lack of bike experience, I managed to pass a short slightly shaky test and was let out on the road with the other bikers about 12 of us. Luckily, the roads were fairly empty all day and you feel safe in the group as long as you can keep up!

It was beautiful to ride through the Tuscan hills and see vineyards and olive groves stretching away in the distance. We made 2 stops in quiet medieval towns and were allowed to explore. The group came together for a winery tour and a delicious lunch with wine tasting. I am now saving up for a Vespa!

So fun! We loved driving the Tuscany countryside and the lunch at the winery was a delight.

Definitely one of the most memorable experience of our European vacation. This was a fantastic way to see Chianti. The guides were fun and friendly, and showed us some incredible vistas, a wonderful vineyard where we had a short tour as well as excellent lunch in a rustic dining room, and a medieval castle town where 40 people still live! It was unforgettable.

Two notes of advice:

1 this may be challenging for people with 0 experience on a Vespa or motorcycle. If you are an expert or advanced bicycle rider, you should be alright. Once I got a feel for the Vespa on the road, though about 3-5 minutes of riding, I felt quite comfortable and even confident my wife, however, was not able to demonstrate that she could turn around 180 in the parking lot driveway, and had to ride as my passenger

2 Either wear or bring to wear something a bit warmer and/or water resistant / waterproof. We went in the beginning of May, and came under-dressed. It ended up pouring cold rain for hours, and when having to ride in the cold, you can certainly get quite chilly with the wind! Despite this - as you can tell it was a 5-star experience. A!

It was raining in the morning so instead of the Vespa we had an even better ride " a classic fiat". This tour was beautiful and our guide Stefano was fun, professional and knowledgeable. The wine tasting and lunch were delicious and the black cat "truffle" made my overall experience unforgettable.

This Vespa tour was fantastic!!
Our tour guides were safety minded and very helpful.

The lunch and wine tasting at the vineyard was excellent, plenty of food for a light lunch.
I would highly recommend this tour.

Laura,
from Dana point California

This tour brought me the greatest experience in Tuscany and my holiday to Florence. Riding Vespa by yourself and enjoy the magnificent landscape from rolling hill. The lunch is great also and you can taste many kinds of wine

Absolutely loved it my husband and i thoroughly enjoyed the day highly recommend it. Our guide Demitri was terriffic. I ended up leaving my reading glasse in the vespa . They made it very easy for me to collect them by delivering them to our original meeting place.
This tour group is highly professional and would definatly do this tour again best way to enjoy the chianti region.Fantastic day.

Tour guides were great, knowledgeable about the area, and were patient with teaching us how to ride, since we had never ridden before. Lunch at the winery was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Would recommend this tour!

Was very fun rode! Enjoyed the breathtaking landscape of Tuscany. Steffano was a great guide and really caring with all of us..

We had a really great time riding in the Tuscan countryside. Lunch at the vineyard was great too. The guides gave us some time to take photos at scenic spots and were always on the look out for oncoming traffic so that they could warn drivers of the convoy.

The ride was nice in the Chianti hills although they did not let us have lunch (reimbursed the amount of lunch). Let’s say that the tasting without having eaten anything then you pay 🤣. Beautiful experience but, in my opinion, really overpriced.
Good afternoon, I took a Vespe tour and failed to drive (this was my first time on a motorcycle) crashed into a wall, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. From the hospital to Florence, I'd already made my own way, even though my whole body hurt. And the only person who helped me out of all this big firm was Luca. Luca is a huge human thank you!!! What I would do without you. I am very grateful to you!!!
