Blend Your Own Wine: A Unique Wine Making Worshop In Florence

The pizza and gelato class was excellent. We had a wonderful time and Tommoso was a great instructor. The location is a cooking school and after the class they email you all the recipes for pizza, gelato, and the pasta making instructions. We don't drink, but the wine and sodas were plentiful and you can have as much as you like. We highly recommend this experience! One note we wish we knew earlier. Parking at the location (and really in all of downtown Florence) is terrible. Give yourself a lot of extra time to find a place to park, or save yourself the stress and just Uber to the location.

From the moment we arrived, Linda made us feel like guests in her home rather than customers on a tour. Her knowledge of the wines, the land, and the families behind them was remarkable, but she never lectured. She told stories, answered every question with real enthusiasm, and had a way of making each glass feel like it meant something. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. We shared the tasting with a lovely couple from the States, and what started as polite introductions turned into hours of laughter, great conversation, and the feeling that we'd known each other much longer. Linda has a gift for bringing people together, and the atmosphere she created made that possible. The wines were excellent, the setting was beautiful, and we left with a few bottles and even better memories. If you're anywhere near Verona, don't miss this, and ask for Linda. This was one of the most fun things we did on the whole trip. Our host took us through all five wines, let us taste each one and explained what each brings, and then basically turned us loose to mess around and build our own blend. That is the whole appeal. You are drinking good wine, learning about the regions as you go and experimenting with combinations to see what works. We bottled ours, put our own label on it and brought it home. Great group activity. We did it with friends and everyone had a brilliant time. Would 100% recommend it.

Linda was the best sommelier to this day. She did an incredible job with teaching us about the history, flavors, depth, and richness about select wines. I will 100% recommend having her as your sommelier. I learned so much about wine via this experience, she was incredibly knowledge and kind.

This wine blending class was such a fun experience and one of the highlights of our trip! I learned so much about wine, especially about the characteristics and flavors that specific grape varieties should have on their own. It was really interesting to taste and understand how each grape contributes something different. We also had the opportunity to blend different grapes to recreate popular wine blends, which was both educational and interactive. The best part was creating our own custom blend based on our personal tastes. Such a unique and hands-on experience — I would highly recommend this class to anyone who enjoys wine or wants to learn more in a fun and approachable way!

We started off by tasting 5 different kinds of wine, while our chef Linda described the wines. After the tasting, we mixed the wines to create 3 types of wine with beaker and pipettes. We finished off with mixing our own wine. Overall great experience, would recommend.

I absolutely loved this wine-making experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to Linda, who taught our class. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly patient, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand while still making it fascinating. Linda made the class feel fun, personal, and relaxed. We laughed, we learned, and we left with a deeper appreciation for Tuscan wine. She truly elevated the whole experience! It was also fun meeting other groups on holiday and getting to know them! Overall amazing experience.

Linda was fantastic!!!! We had so much fun and learned so much about wine and blending and regions and their unique grapes and profiles. It was such a highlight of our trip and everyone who visits Florence should blend wines with Linda!

Linda was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Tasted six wines and she went over the flavor profiles and had us put together a few different blends to determine our preferences. Then you make and name your own personal blend. Only had six people and one couple only drank white normally. By the end they realized they were missing out by not exploring more reds. Would highly recommend for anyone!

Tobia was amazing! We took the Wine Blending class and had an amazing time. Our class was only 6 people and we got to try so many different wine blends and Tobia walked us through how to blend them the best way. 5 stars, highly recommend! 🍷

Really fun couple of hours. Tobia was very funny and knowledgeable, and considering he ended up with four people from three different groups who all preferred white wine, he did a really great job at explaining the wine and engaging us. Got to try five different red wines before trying different combinations, and then making our personalised blends depending on what we liked.

We booked the Mastersteak Class as a filler for our day. The experience was so much more than we expected. Our Chef Alaiu made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived as did all the staff. The trip to the market to choose the food we were to prepare was a treat beyond what we anticipated. While not booked as a private class it was just my husband and I and very much enjoyed our one on one. If we had more time in Florence I would book one of their other classes in Pizza or pasta as well. If you have an opportunity to book I highly reccomend.

Nice and educational experience with a touch of chemistry😏We learnt a lot, not only about wine as such but also about our own individual preferences. Very small group ( only our party) made it a luxury experience with a lot of one-to-one with the sommelier, and the keepsakes ( eg your one preferred blend) to bring back home was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. It was a small group. We got to taste great wines and there were good complimentary food/snacks. Lydia was lovely and she was really nice, kind and attentive during all the making and tasting. It's a really lovely experience. 100/10 The only downside, would be that at times it got a little bit too loud, because there are other classes going on at the same time. But, it didn't really affect this awesome experience.
