It’s not just a walking tour. You get passes to climb the bell tower and visit the museum. Very good introduction to Florence.

Sylvia was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Florence. We wouldn’t have got the same information from wandering around on our own.
Would not recommend. We were told the Duomo was too crowded and we could use our ticket at another time for three days. We already had a schedule set so we didn’t get see it. However, the tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.
The tour and guide were excellent. It was perfectly paced and the right amount of time. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and joy was a perfect way to learn about this beautiful city and the Duomo. We highly recommend.
We recently booked several tours in Rome/Florence/Venice. I would not recommend this Tour or its operator, Walks of Europe. Their customer service is non-existent. If you attempt to call, the number provided (a NY#), goes directly to voicemail and no one will call you back. We contacted Viator, they confirmed they were also unable to reach them. Very disappointing and frustrating when you need assistance.
Great tour and guide! Knowledgeable me. It was easy to find the meeting point. Enjoyed the Bell climb.
Great way to see the city and get an introduction to Florence. Chiams is obviously proud of her heritage and is very passionate about what she does. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
The person for this tour did not hold up the sign “Walks in Europe.” So, it was difficult for our group members to find the tour director. Our tour director was also late, making it even more difficult to find the tour. Some tickets were printed incorrectly, so the tickets did not scan into the museum and cathedral for some group participants. Tour director did not wait for all participants to enter the museum/cathedral, or help these participants. The tour director left the participants stranded at the turnstile, delaying the security line for everyone else, despite the participants having paid for an “intimate guided tour.” Director also did not wear bright clothing, hold a sign, or hold a tall stick or flag, making her extremely difficult to spot. If the tour operator/provider would like more details of the date, time, and name of tour director, they are welcome to contact me personally for more details of this incident. For other interested buyers, I wouldn’t recommend this specific tour. It seems you’d save money and frustration by buying your own entry tickets for the museum, cathedral, and bell tower. Lastly, the “skip the line,” is not guaranteed either. We still had to wait in line for entry to these attractions.
It was outstanding. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling and exploring the history and beauty of Italy.
Our guide was very pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. We went through 3 buildings in 2 hours and i didn't feel it was too fast or too slow.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed today’s tour of the duomo Cathedral in Bell-tower and most of all the museum. The tour guide was especially knowledgeable easy to understand and we appreciated the sound system quality. Highly recommend this tour guide.
Amazing knowledge of our guide I would give 10 stars. He knew so much history and was so thoughtful and kind to our naive Americans.
My mother and I went 14 October with guide Nora. The ticket meeting point was clear and easy, from there we got our headsets and Nora gave the best experience. The pacing and organisation of the tour was just amazing. Highly recommend this tour company!
We toured the museum, baptistery, and doumo. Excellent guide with a lot of passion and knowledge. Good use of elevators for those with mobility issues. Much more to see than we expected. Just excellent.
If you do the bell tower climb, you dont skip the line there but the line wasn't long. The tour guide was very thorough.
Definitely get on a tour The lines are incredibly long for Duomo The guide is knowledgeable Took us through the museum baptistery and Duomo then we climber to tower on our own with the same ticket
Tour guide was excellent. She started us in the museum which was a little slower start, however she promised us it would be worth it and it absolutely was. Why? Because the museum houses the original sculptures and other art work that you see on the outside of the cathedral. The ones on the outside of the cathedral are replicas. The real art is stored inside to preserve it. The guide knew an incredible amount about the history and provided many interesting stories! Really enjoyed this tour including the cathederal and the basement/crypt. Would definitely recommend.
The guide was very nice and informative. We liked learning the history and details. We are glad we took the tour. Extra helpful to skip lines!
Very knowledgable tour guide Sarah gave excellent tour of Duomo complex, Museum, Baptistry and Cathedral. Would highly recommend.
Our tour guide was a Florence native with formal art history knowledge. Allowed for a rich, immersive experience.
Great tour of the museum and the Duomo. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable of art, history and history of Florence.
Marcia was an extraordinary guide. She was knowledgeable and truly had an educated answer to every question asked. We absolutely loved the experience. The duomo line was very long, however with these tickets we entered the duomo through a special entrance, not having to wait in the blazing sun. Highly recommend the company and we hope you get Marcia as your guide. Make sure you get the bell tower tour too. The ticket is good for 3 days and you can visit the bell tower at your own pace anytime within the 72 hrs window. Highly recommend this tour!!
This tour & our tour guide, Micaela, were excellent! Her knowledge of the Duomo was phenomenal! She added so many interesting details to our experience! And, skipping the line was the best! Highly recommend!
Our guide was absolutely fantastic—punctual, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the subject matter. As an art history major, her expertise really shone throughout the tour. She took the time to answer everyone’s questions, explained the itinerary upfront, and even gave us great tips for exploring on our own afterward. Her sense of humor and engaging storytelling made the experience both educational and enjoyable. The only thing I wish (though it’s no fault of the guide or company) is that there were more transparency or updates in advance about when the interiors of buildings are under construction or closed for repairs. It’s a bit disappointing to pay expecting access and find out on arrival that it’s not possible to go inside. That said, the guide made the best of it and still delivered a fantastic tour. Highly recommend!
Such and amazing experience. Our guide was very informative and enjoyable. I Would highly recommend.
Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Kept our attention the entire time. I truly enjoyed our tour.
Our tour guide was Michela. Impressed with amount of detailed information our tour guide gave us. She was very passionate about Florence and the Medici family. She did great job with her English, and making sure our audio worked, that we could hear her and she answered questions. I would recommend this tour.
It was a great tour, the museum was very interesting, and some great pictures from the terrace! I was great to enter the basilica without standing in line...definitely worth it. Maria was lovely, friendly and it was a beautiful experience
Unless you are an art major the tour was boring and the guide was hard to understand due to a heavy accent. Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, I would not recommend it unless you are really into history or art.
Great history of the Duomo along with a very good museum tour that gives great background on how and why the Duomo and bell tower were built. We had an excellent guide, Martina, who brought great info, insight along with humor to the tour. She also had a great restaurant suggestion.
Our tour guide Jada (or Jade) was incredibly knowledgeable and provided such good information and made it is interesting to learn about the history. So happy with the experience and it was worth the money!
Walks in Europe did an excellent job leading our group of 10 people. Our guide Sylvia was a native Florentine and delivered a detailed education through the Duomo Museum, Baptistry and Cathedral. We highly recommend Walks in Europe
Wonderful tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us great insights into what we were seeing and really showed a passion for the exhibits! Highly recommend.
Beautiful location and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history.
Get to the “meeting place” early so you can actually find the correct person that is leading your group. The tour is fast paced and you get a lot of great detail, but no time to really soak it all in. The bonus tower climb was on our own and worth the 426 steps for a great view of the city.
Excellent tour and guide. She was very knowledgeable and navigated me to see everything. Important to know this tour included everything and is a must have ticket. The bell tower was the climb to do since you can see the dome in great detail and up close! The museum was awesome as well!
Interesting tour and helpful access to shorter lines but it isn’t without some waiting. We were visiting during Easter week so it’s understandable to have some crowd challenges. The only disappointment was that our bell tower climb ticket wasn’t valid until 3 hrs after the start of our tour and we had another outing planned so couldn’t take advantage. The climb would have been the highlight for the kids so I wish they would have been upfront about the ticket having a strict window of time for use.
Very knowledgeable guide and fun tour. Got to see a little bit of everything and learn the history behind the buildings and statues.
Well worth it! Take the tour- skip the line, and hopefully get the most excellent tour guide Deb- she was outstanding! Climb the tower- best views.
Eleanora was one of the best guides we’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable and engaging. Smiley and funny. My entire family learned so much during our tour. Even her gelato recommendation in a city full of gelato options was excellent. (Eduardo’s gelateria with its handmade cones and cups right next to the Duomo was delicious.)
Museum was absolutely amazing! Learning about all the different artists who touched the different parts of the Duomo complex was excellent. Will be back one the restoration of the Baptistry is complete.
My family and I had a great tour of the Duomo and the museum. Jade, our guide, is very knowledgeable about the architecture and art, and friendly (answered everyone's questions). We learned a lot and recommend this experience!
A lot of information, history, dates and names were introduced at a fast pace. Many interesting historical art and architecture was viewed. The experience was a challenge.
Eleanora showed us the museum, the crypt , and the cathedral. We have taken many European guided tours and Eleanora’s knowledge and enthusiasm made this tour the best one that we have ever taken. We peppered her with questions and she was so patient with us as she gave her fascinating answers. We loved her explanation of Ghiberti’s bronze doors in the museum. The museum’s interior design is so modern and tasteful. She spent a lot of time explaining Michelangelo’s last sculpture for his own tomb. We loved entering the early Roman ruins under the cathedral. The inside of the Baptistry was also beautiful. Thank you so much, Eleanora, for proving a happy, fascinating ,and memorable experience.
The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, our time inside Duomo was rushed because they were closing.
Guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting history! His English was excellent! Very good tour of the dome, museum and baptistry.
We found this amazing tour provided by Walks in Europe via GetYourGuide app -- an amazing and exceptionally helpful app and website -- and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that our group of 3 were the only ones booked. We had our guide Chiara all to ourselves and due to our accidental good fortune to book at tour for 14:00 we wound up having the Duomo almost all to ourselves. Chiara is smart, business-like, professional, and full of incredibly helpful information that made our visit so much more valuable than had we gone alone or relied on the pre-recorded audio guides. Chiara started us in the Museum which wound up being helpful for context and background -- so when we made our way to the Basilica and then the Duomo itself it was more meaningful. Our tour was timed such (again, this was an accident on our part but a terrific one) that when we wrapped up in Duomo, there were perhaps only 5-6 tourists left plus a few security staff. We climbed the bell tower afterward and yes it's a bunch of stairs but it's worth it so long as it's not raining or fogged in. We made an important discovery. If you happen to be at the resting point (there are 3-4 along the way, basically a way-station platform to break up the climb) that is directly below the bell, this is a functioning bell tower! To hear the bell from a distance of only a few meters and within the confines of a stone tower is incredibly loud. Made for one interesting iPhone video and my ears were ringing for a while. Anyway, thank you Chiara, we appreciated our time with you and thank you for making our final tour in Italy such a pleasure. Oh, one more thought, we also by accident arrived at the top of the bell tower just at sunset. If you can manage the timing, you'll be glad you did. The way the sun illuminated the city for those twenty glorious minutes was amazing.
We had a great tour experience provided by Kiera. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the history. The pace of the tour was well planned. After all aspects of the tour were covered and there was still some spare time left, Kiera went the extra mile by giving us additional historical information not included in the tour. Thank you Kiera for helping us to understand more.
Our tour was great and our guide Kiera was a true historian and helped us understand everything about the Durmo and Baptistry. She was very pleasant and made the tour fun and helped us all understand the places we visited.
We had a a great, everything super organized and tour very detailed and fun. Our tour guide was very fun and informative and even gave us tips on best gelato in city and best places to eat. She was awesome.
