The most amazing cooking experience! Mother and daughter team of Veronica and Margherita expertly and effortlessly prepared a bountiful meal from the fruits of the harvest from the gardens on their 20 acre estate. The well appointed and comfortable cooking studio (sofa if you must sit during extravaganza) is next to the stunning villa. All your senses will awaken as you witness and assist in the preparation of a meal that is simply elegant. The colors of the vegetables are vibrant, the smells aromatic, and the tastes delectable. You are then seated on their gorgeous veranda to enjoy the courses of meals served with wine and olive oil made on property. Let the time while away as you immerse yourself in this unique opportunity

An exquisite experience with Veronica and Margarita who with love and passion shared their family recipes and detailed techniques to make these delicious meals. Such warmth and caring to detail made this an exceptional cooking experience. It was fun, inspirational and pure magic. This is a must for the culinary enthusiast.
Fantastic experience in a beautiful Tuscan setting. Veronica and Margherita are wonderful hosts and great teachers. We had so much fun making the food, drinking the wine, and enjoying the fruits of our labor in the form of a delicious meal. If you are in the Florence area this will be the highlight of your trip!
Our time at La Quercia Estate was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the serene countryside, this cooking class offered not only a hands-on culinary experience, but also a deeply personal and soulful connection to the land, the ingredients, and the people who nurture them. Maghertia, our gracious host and guide, welcomed us with warmth and generosity, making us feel like old friends returning home. Alongside her was her lovely mother, Veronica, whose calm presence and deep knowledge of traditional Italian cooking enriched the day beyond measure. Together, they created an atmosphere that was both joyful and contemplative, where laughter mingled with the aromas of onion, herbs, and fresh dough rising in the kitchen. We prepared handmade pasta, focaccia with sage and olive oil from their grove, and a rustic omelette that tasted like the very essence of the season. As we cooked, we talked about life, about family, about change, and living life with less stress. Veronica spoke about the ingredients and the importance of choosing what is local and fresh. Her words and advice carried a kind of reverence that stayed with us long after the meal was done. Maghertia shared stories of her upbringing and her passion for simple, nourishing food. The day was not just about cooking but about being present, about connecting over shared work and shared meals. We left La Quercia with full hearts, full bellies, and a renewed appreciation for the quiet magic of homegrown hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough.
Margherita and her mother are simply magic. The experience they created for me, my husband and our three college age girls studying in Florence for the semester was nothing short of amazing. The food was fresh, and most from their garden or farm. The setting was out of a fairy tail and the warm company was the icing on the cake. I’m writing this review a few months late (October visit) as we got incredibly busy at the end of our trip but it was important enough to me to make time to go back and write the review as it left an indelibly memory with my family. If you can find time to fit this experience in, please do so. It will be the highlight of your trip. Margherita - Hans and I hope to come see you and your lovely family again soon. This time, spending a few days with you all at the Inn. 🥰🥰🥰. Fondly, Hans and Georgia Z
The estate and cooking studio are beautiful. The effort to make us comfortable and teach authentic Italian cooking exceeded our expectations. Veronica and her daughter Margherita are wonderful hosts and teachers. Drinking estate Trebbiano and Sangiovese wine made from grapes grown on the grounds just added to the ambience. We made bruschetta, frittata, pumpkin velvet soup, green peppers with capers and olives, chocolate cake to die for and learning how to make real egg pasta was a culinary education. Her wonderful freshly cold pressed olive oil will make people on our Christmas gift list very happy. The olive trees on her farm supply the extra virgin olive oil. If you want a true eating and learning experience far from the crowds at museums or busy cities, please avail yourself this awesome experience.
We instantly felt like family and I never wanted to leave. The experience was passionate and from the heart….family traditions and I instantly felt what it would be like to call this home. On top of that the food was amazing!!!!
Spent a magical day in the Cooking Studio with a remarkable mother-daughter team. We learned new cooking techniques, recipes, and history about one of the loveliest villas in Tuscany. To top that off, we ate delightful food from their grounds and enjoyed beautiful wines from their vineyard. By the end of the day we felt like family! A day we will never forget!! ❤️🇮🇹❤️
We had the absolute best time at La Quercia. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and they truly make you feel at home. We learned so many amazing tips and tricks and the day never felt rushed. There was so much passion for teaching and sharing knowledge about food. We will be recommending to everyone!
This was our favorite activity in Florence! The property is absolutely beautiful and the cooking class was an authentic and delicious experience! Margherita was an amazing host and Veronica is a phenomenal chef and teacher with years of family recipes and experience. We already decided that we need to bring more friends back and do it again!
I would give 10 stars if I could!! This was an incredible, unforgettable experience! Our son and daughter-in-law gave us this experience as a gift and I feel like it had a lasting affect on me. Margherita was super helpful in arranging everything, including the cab rides, and introducing us to their estate. Her mother, Veronica, was an incredible teacher. You could feel Veronica’s passion and philosophy of cooking, hosting, and food throughout. Simple homegrown ingredients from their estate gardens and the preparation techniques came together in the most amazing burst of flavors and textures. Veronica taught us to slow down, savor the moments, and cook with love. It was as much a lesson on life as it was cooking. If you have a chance to participate, do not miss it!!
An intimate, genuine, and personal culinary presentation by someone who has a deep passion for her art.
My two children aged 14 and 11 came with me on this experience. We all agree it was the best thing we did in Italy. Margherita was a warm and accomodating host with fantastic communication ahead of the experience. She arranged a taxi pick up for us and even sent photographs of the pick up place near our apartment in Florence. On arrival, she gave us a tour of her beautiful family estate and ushered us into the cooking studio (a converted art studio that was converted from a farming storehouse by her grandfather in the 1960s/70s). There we met Veronica, our cooking teacher and Margherita's mother. We were treated to freshly baked custard tarts and cups of tea, and then began the cooking lessons, along with 5 other lovely guests. My kids were given special responsibilities including rolling out the pasta and were made to feel very important. We then sat down to a gorgeous lunch, (the pasta, focaccia, and other treats that we had made), along with lovely wine from the estate. All in all, a day that we will cherish and hope to do again!
The 6 hour event was enchanting and the food we helped prepare was delicious and amazing. Perfect English for our US and Canadian group. The estate was magnificent as was the cooking venue. Cannot recommend enough. Don’t miss this one!
What an incredible experience of a lifetime! Veronica and Margherita were lovely hosts who made sure every second we spent at La Quercia Estate was spectacular. Honestly, we travel all over the world and have been immersed in some pretty amazing experiences, yet this may stand out as my forever favorite. Some people only briefly enter your lives but leave a lasting impact - they certainly did just that. The love behind their cooking and hospitality was evident and I’d recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic Tuscan day. Even the guys in our party were also thoroughly impressed with one describing the place as “a gem.” Margherita arranged for a car from our AirBnB in Florence, which was great. I wouldn’t have wanted to travel there any other way. There was no rush to the day. I wouldn’t recommend planning anything afterward. We really weren’t hungry until about 9PM that night and we only wanted a light dinner after the late lunch. Do plan to wear comfortable shoes because you won’t want to sit much for fear of missing one of Veronica’s amazing tips, techniques or stories.
The hosts were incredible incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and spent hours sharing their ways of making authentic food and learning a bit about their culture as well.
We arrived in September of 2019. We felt like we were visiting family. The welcome was warm and familiar. We wondered the grounds as we listened to stories of the property and family. Margherita was kind and patient and shared with everyone her talent. The food prepared was inviting and delicious. The weather and views, as we sat outside, were beyond our dreams. Eat, Pray, Love, I get it! Amazing experiences like this are a gift to the soul.
Our chef was amazing. She loved what she does and it showed. Single best experience in all of Italy. This is a must do.
What a special day! We absolutely loved our cooking class with Veronica and Margherita - the perfect mother daughter duo. We learned how to make pasta with two different sauces, fresh artichokes from their garden, rosemary focaccia, veggie omelette, and apple cake. We learned so much and had a wonderful time participating in the kitchen, and bonding with the other people in our group. Margherita picked us up from the town center and found us a taxi back to Florence. Veronica is magic in the kitchen - just seeing the way she works with food is enough to book this class. This was of our favorite days in Italy! We would love to do it again next time we’re in Florence. Thank you Margherita and Veronica!
This was an absolutely rich experience for me and my family. To watch the process of cooking things from scratch to hearing the love of the food, culture and life in general was eye opening. Highly recommend.
This experience far exceeded our expectations. It was a highlight of our trip! We loved the hands-on cooking class. Margherita and her mother were both so welcoming. They were passionate about the food/land and most of all fun. The setting was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend 100%. 10/10. Loved it!!
Hands down, the best experience in Italy!! Two of my friends joined me for a cooking class in the Tuscan hills - it was worth every penny! I consider myself to be a knowledgable cook, and I learned SO much! I came home with my recipes and have been cooking Italian exclusively all week long! The villa itself is breathtaking. We all agreed that on our next visit, we want to rent the villa for the week. Margherita and Victoria were excellent hosts and teachers. This experience exceeded every expectation I had about a cooking class in Tuscany...and they were set pretty high! This is an absolute MUST on anyone's Tuscan vacation!
One of the best vacation experiences we have ever had, and the very best of Italy. I recommend considering staying at their villa, it can be booked separately through the La Quercia website.
My husband and I had a great experience at the cooking class!! Veronica and Margherita were so sweet and attentive to every detail!! You truly learn the tips and tricks on how to make some delicious Italian meals! The location, ambiance, and even wine from their estate was perfect! They give you the recipes to take notes so you can create the same delicious meals at home.
Veronica and Margherita were spectacular! So gracious and kind - definitely a highlight of our two week vacation through Italy and Paris! Our 13 year old son also had a great time and loved it! We will definitely be making plans to stay at the villa on the property soon!
This experience was superb from beginning to end. In fact, it was the highlight of a fabulous two week vacation. The food was delicious, the estate stunning and peaceful, and Margherita and Veronica exude such warmth and kindness. My family highly recommends this experience! Thank you, Margherita and Veronica for your hospitality and the very special day!!
This was perhaps the best experience of our 2 week trip in Italy. Cannot say enough great things about Margherita and Veronica, the wonderful daughter, mother duo. Our family of six truly enjoyed every minute including our youngest, who is 10 years old. We had our transportation from Florence set up by Margherita who communicated with us all throughout the time prior to the visit. We then arrived and had a beautiful apple strudel and warm coffee waiting for us. The villa and cooking studio are straight out of a magazine but Margherita and Veronica’s welcoming demeanor was even more impressive. We then went on to prepare focaccia, a pesto sauce, spaghetti and chocolate cake. Their passion and love for what they do is evident and they are incredibly patient as they guide you through the class. We finished by eating the food prepared, along with a delicious caprese. We then sat and talked with Veronica and Margherita as they shared the history of La Quercia and their family. Highly recommend this experience and hope to one day return! Thank you Margherita and Veronica for your hospitality. Your passion and love for what you do is inspiring.
Spending a day at La Querica is a beautiful experience and not to be missed! Margherita, who runs the cooking school alongside her mother, picked us up from our nearby hotel. On arrival, she gave us a brief tour of the estate. Next, we met the other participants in the class (all of whom were pleasant and interesting). It's a small group experience of about 8 or 10 total people, which feels just right. While Veronica gives an overview of the menu, the class enjoys homemade cake and coffee. Then, the cooking begins! This is definitely a class for foodies. You don't need to come in with any skill level, but it is by no means a beginner's menu. The dishes we made included focaccia, a frittata with artichokes, a salad of fresh fava beans/mint/local cheese, a green salad with vinaigrette, pasta rolled an cut into many shapes, a fresh tomato sauce, and flourless chocolate cake topped with local strawberries. We made the first few dishes and then enjoyed them in the cooking studio with wine, then made the rest of the dishes and enjoyed them on the patio with more wine. Veronica is an excellent, highly skilled cook and very patient instructor, and it is lovely to watch her interact with her sweet daughter (especially since we were there with our daughter). Nothing is hurried, and it is a very relaxing and interesting day. We were so full by the end of the class that we skipped dinner that night. Don't hesitate to book a class at La Quercia. Though we enjoyed our hotel in Impruneta, this was so much fun that we are even contemplating a future stay at La Quercia, which is part cooking studio/part hotel. They can also arrange private dinners with a tailor-made menu, which look very appealing, and can book tastings at local wineries -- all of which would be worth doing. Just book it - it's great!
Margherita and her mom, Veronica, were amazing hosts! We took a quick 20-25 minute taxi from Florence city center and Margherita picked us up in town to take us to the estate. When we arrived, Veronica greeted us with espresso and a snack before our cooking adventure began! We made a delicious bruschetta with tomatoes and basil, ragu sauce with homemade pasta, chicken marsala with baked fennel with bechamel sauce and topped it off with tiramisu for dessert. It was so fun and relaxing. We are both semi experienced cooks and we learned very many new tips and tricks on this adventure. The estate is beyond gorgeous - very calm and serene. I look forward to visiting them again when we are back in the area!
Margherita and her mom, Veronica, were fantastic- they are so a great duo! Margherita picked us up in Florence for a short drive to their beautiful estate. The sunset on the ride over was breathtaking. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Veronica who had everything prepped for us. We snacked on cheese, wine, and taralli (round crackers) while making delicious focaccia, baked fennel with béchamel sauce, ravioli, and flourless chocolate cake with raspberries. I’m a bit more experienced in cooking/baking than my husband is and we both learned a lot of new tricks! We truly enjoyed our time with Margherita and Veronica and were so sad to leave after our session was over. They are beautiful ladies, inside and out! We hope to see them on our next visit to Italy and recommend that our our friends do too!
This class was easily the highlight of our trip to Italy. The estate itself is absolutely gorgeous, as was the short drive out there (which the instructors very helpfully assisted us with). We also learned a ton. The instructors very clearly love cooking, and they taught us lessons that extended even beyond the menu they had planned. The menu itself was amazing--bruschetta, green beans, gnocchi and sauce, meatballs, and cake--and the ingredients were very fresh. The instructors themselves were also lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed discussing the history of the estate and life in Italy with them. We would easily (and hope to) visit again in the future for another lesson.
My husband and I had the most amazing time learning to cook authentic and delicious Italian food from Veronica and Margherita. The experience made us both want to move to Italy immediately - specifically, a Tuscan estate :) I booked directly through their website (by email), and Margherita answered all of my questions promptly. The form I filled out from Margherita allowed me to request a dish to be made. My husband requested tiramisu, his favourite dessert. In the early morning, my husband and I took the bus from Florence to Impruneta. It was an inexpensive and pleasant ride. Margherita picked us and three other people up at the town square by the bus stop. She then drove us to the estate, chatting all the while. She is so friendly and engaging. The estate is beautiful but also functional. They make their own wine and olive oil on site, and grow lots of vegetables, fruits and herbs. The views of the Tuscan countryside are jawdropping. We could see the views from the comfortable kitchen of the main building, where we went for the cooking class. When we arrived, the warm and enthusiastic Veronica was preparing focaccia for us to snack on. She also had meats from All'Antico Vinao and coffee for us. Altogether, there were around 7 to 9 people in the class. Veronica taught us how to make focaccia, pasta and tiramisu. We were thrilled that she had honoured my husband's request to learn to make tiramisu. The cooking lesson is a combination of hands-on combined with observing Veronica, and at times Margherita (who assisted but was not always in the class) and asking lots of questions. Veronica makes everything look effortless, and made us confident that we could replicate her dishes at home. Veronica also cooked an additional chicken dish with peppers that was to die for. We then ate our three-course meal outside with an unobstructed and breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. We drank wine with our meal, and enjoyed each others' company. Veronica even poured as a little digestif! A delicious end to a fantastic meal and experience. I highly recommend this cooking class, whether it be with your partner, friends or family. It's been almost one year and I still think about it - it will stay with you too.
Our family loved every minute with Veronica and Margherita. We learnt how to make focaccia, farmers tomato sauce, artichokes & potatoes, tortellini and chocolate cake. The smells from the kitchen were devine and the food was perfect. The class was hands on, informative, fun & tasty all within a beautiful 17th century building. Margherita WhatsApp’d to arrange a meeting place/time that was easy to find and we then followed her to the estate. We enjoyed the fruits of our labour over red wine, great conversation with Veronica and Margherita and finished with espresso. The four of us agree that today was a highlight of our holiday and would love to return again.
Veronica and Margherita’s stunning La Quercia Estate and its down to earth cooking class was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Italy. The estate and its views are breathtaking, with more than 1,000 olive trees and a vineyard, along with fig, lemon and pomegranate trees. Both Veronica and Margherita are so warm and welcoming. In our daytime cooking class with Veronica we only had one other couple, so we had lots of opportunity for hands-on preparation. Veronica cooks with such love; she doesn’t just teach you how to make the recipes – she teaches you the “why” and how things work (such as handling yeast when making dough). Our cooking menu included rosemary focaccia, gnocchi with tomato sauce, cauliflower with onions, tomatoes and olives and a chocolate cake for dessert. When we finished cooking, we sat down and enjoyed an excellent meal al fresco on their patio overlooking the hills and valleys of Impruneta, and capped it off with Veronica’s homemade limoncello. Before we left, Margherita gave us a gift of a beautiful terra cotta bread warmer (Impruneta is famous for its terra cotta). This lovely momento will bring back many happy memories of our time with Veronica and Margherita and our cooking class at La Quercia Estate, and we can’t wait to replicate the recipes at home!
We booked this cooking class on our honeymoon as part of our time in Florence. Margherita provided transportation to/from our hotel out to La Quercia, and was very easy to work with to get everything booked. She and her mother, Veronica are fantastic hostesses! They are both so kind, generous, and full of life. Now to the good stuff... the beauty of this property is unparalleled. It is luxurious yet rustic and not at all pretentious. You can tell from the moment you arrive that M+V are very passionate about what they do: hospitality and cooking! The cooking studio is in a charming old building and led by Veronica. The cooking lesson is very hands on and intimate. No detail is overlooked as the place settings are beautiful, there are plenty of historic touches all over the cooking studio, and the ingredients are fresh and premium quality (many coming from the estate directly!). Veronica is so passionate about not only cooking, but using it as a way to connect with people. We were so honored she shared some special stories with us throughout the evening. On the menu: rosemary focaccia, gnocchi with estate tomato sauce, peas and pancetta, lemon scented meatballs and the best tiramisu I think I have ever had. 10/10 recommend this cooking experience!!! Don’t think twice about booking this. Relax, give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the slow speed of life in Impruneta, and take it all in!!
My husband Mike and I booked a cooking class and this is one of the highlights of our trip to Florence. My best friend and her family took a class with Veronica years ago and she was highly recommended. The estate has beautiful views. They grow their own vegetables in the property. Veronica’s recipes are from her Nonna - and I felt the warm welcome once we arrived. The menu changes depending on what is fresh in the market. Our menu consisted of : Grilled zucchini with soft Robiola cheese Pumpkin Risotto Salted Salmon Baked/Roasted Potato with olive oil and lemon Crestini di Ricotta e Frutta It was an intimate class - so you are able to experience and learn in a small group setting. I love that Veronica provides options of how to make a dish - “there’s 2 schools of thought.” She is very passionate about food/cooking, but more important - she’s very passionate about making her guests feel welcome, and a part of her family. Grazie Veronica and Margherita! Looking forward to coming back and taking another class with you or stay at the Cottage :).
I cannot speak highly enough of this cooking experience. From the moment you arrive at La Quercia, you know it is going to be something truly special. Margherita and Veronica have the most warm and special hearts - and they show this through every moment of your experience at their home. We were greeted with a tour of the beautiful estate, accompanied with the incredible family history and stories - making you truly understand how special it is - overlooking the most beautiful views of Tuscany. We had coffee and croissants while we discussed with Veronica the menu for the day: Focaccia, Tagliatteli with Ragu, and Tiramisu - all which we would learn to cook with annecdotes from Veronica about Italian love and patience in the kitchen. Overall, the most incredible part of the experience was the love and passion that is put into each moment. It is clear that the cooking studio is organized, and intentional - but each moment feels like it is the first time you're hearing it from Veronica's lips. She has a way of making these connections with each of the members of the class (we had 8 adults in our group) and everyone was able to be included and interact in the class. I truly cannot speak enough of the intentional and special feeling you get from learning from Veronica and watching her master the kitchen. All while looking out the window to see the most beautiful views - you should go ahead and book now - you will not regret it. Thank you Veronica and Margherita for the most wonderful day in your home - I truly hope to return some day.
I went with my wife and 2 friends and I am not really a foodie person but this was fantastic. I loved the food and am now ready to take on making pasta myself and the whole experience was over the top. The hosts are incredible and make you feel so comfortable and the view is to die for, incredible trip while in Florence and only about 30 minutes outside of the city but you feel as if it was hours on how beautiful the view was. Highly, highly recommend it!!!
This class teaches a variety of Tuscan cooking and Italian living. I learned how to make bruschetta, pasta, sauces, chicken dishes and dessert. Veronica changes the menu based on the season because she cares deeply about getting the the freshest and best ingredients for the class. At the end you eat everything you just cooked while enjoying a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside. Also you drink wine and coffee the whole time!! This class was on the pricier side but totally worth it. I didn't see such variety of dishes you cook in any other class. Also, Veronica makes sure to get the best ingredients for your meal. I'll never forget the beautiful Tuscan Hills and the tasty meals we had. After this class I plan on cooking pasta with our family. I plan to take what I learned in both cooking and Italian living and put that into my family's meals and life.
Veronica and Margherita are great!! This intimate little kitchen and the quiet setting is a great place to take a cooking class and to have lunch!! If you can book it in advance I would highly recommend having Veronica or Margherita meet you in town! They are super friendly and the extra time with them will be great!! We will be back!!
My wife and I have traveled to Italy on 4 different occasions, and this experience ranks as one of our top experiences. We did not know what to expect when we booked the cooking class, but we are so glad we did! We learned so much and had a lot of fun in the little bit of time we spent with Veronica and Margherita. The day started with meeting Veronica at market in the area of Florence she grew up in. We spent about 2 hours in and around the market as Veronica took us to her favorite cafe to have coffee and a snack before she took us into the market. While at the market we decided what vegetables we wanted to cook that day and she described to us how to choose the proper ingredients. Once we were done at the market, she drove us back to the villa to begin cooking. When we got to the villa, Margherita was waiting for us with everything ready to begin the class. We spent the next few hours cooking, snacking, talking and sipping wine. I’m not even sure how much time this took as we were both enjoying the day so much we never checked the time. After we ate the final meal, we walked around the property a bit before Margherita brought us back to our hotel. Veronica and Margherita are both very friendly and knowledgeable about what they are doing. We got the feeling they really love what they do. We never felt rushed and Veronica was more then happy to answer all kinds of cooking and recipe questions. If you are in Florence, you Must Experience this class!!!
Margarita picked us up at the hotel in Florence and drove us a short 8 mile drive to their Tuscany Estate overlooking amazing vineyards and scenery. We entered the gate and came upon a very old but completely renovated house with beautiful trees, flowers, shrubs and the distinct smell of herbs all around. Margarita introduced us to her Mother Veronica and both were so welcoming, we truly felt like we had known the for years. Veronica opened a bottle of wine from their personal vineyard that was fantastic and took us on a tour of the house her father had bought and she renovated. He had passed away and had amazing art he had painted everywhere. We then put our aprons on and went to work, making dough, tomato sauce, meatballs and cutting up fresh mozzarella while snacking on amazing appetizers and listening to stories of her family and the Tuscany region. All of the foods we made were authentic and made with no preservatives, with many of the ingredients coming from there own gardens. The food was delicious but we also learned so much about Olive oil which they make themselves and balsamic vinegar. The process and grading is amazing. The knowledge and stories Veronica and Margarita had over dinner was so enlightening and entertaining. We stayed much longer than scheduled and loved every minute of it. This is a memory and hopefully a friendship that we will cherish forever. We hope to do it again with some friends and maybe even rent out the house for a week while doing it!
My husband and I booked this experience to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence and loved every minute. The estate is located in a nearby town (Impruneta) and we took the CAP bus there from Florence (depart 9:40 - arrive 10:15) at a cost of 10 euro for the two of us. Margherita picked us up at the main square where the bus dropped us off and it was overall, really easy. From there just a 5 minute ride to the estate. There were 8 in our group and we started off with coffee/pastries and introductions. Next, we made tomato sauce, fresh pasta, focaccia, pepperonata, zucchini omelette, and chocolate cake. Veronica is very welcoming and we learned more in this class than several others we've taken at Florence and in the US. She has a passion for food and cooking that is undeniable, and it translates to make this experience beautiful. After the work and a few glasses of the family wine, we enjoyed the fruits of our labor with a relaxing lunch on the property and were free to walk around. Afterwards, Margherita drove us back to the main square and we hopped on the 4:15 bus back to Florence. I absolutely recommend this experience. For those who have taken other cooking courses, you might agree they tend to feel a bit commercial and like a production to get you out on time. This was the opposite - truly enjoyable and personal. We feel lucky to have met both Veronica and Margherita and our travel was richer because of this experience.
Thank you Veronica for a wonderful day at your kitchen studio. Everything we prepared was simple and tasty. Focaccia, papardelle with ragout, Panna Cotta. All amazing!!! We learned a lot from you and your daughter. We Hope to come back again!
12 of us spent a fabulous evening cooking with Veronica and her daughter, Margerita in their Tuscan kitchen. The class was very entertaining, we got some great tips about how to cook the authentic Italian way, the food was delicious and the local wine from the property was excellent too! The little gift she gave us on departure was an unexpected and lovely surprise.

If traveling to Chianti, spending a day with Veronica and Margherita learning about classic Italian cooking is a MUST! My wife and I had an amazing experience from the minute we booked the class. Margherita personally called us to confirm our booking and explain where to meet for the day. We met her in the center of the quaint town and followed her to this gorgeous estate with picturesque views. We were warmly greeted by her mother, Veronica, with coffee and a delicious pastry while we chatted about the estate and the menu for the day. The class takes place in the kitchen of the guest house which is cozy and warmed with an open hearth fire place. Veronica explained each step thoroughly and let us be hands on in every dish we made. Her passion for cooking and food is so inspiring. It was so great to hear the secrets of great fresh Tuscan food, history of the estate, and fun facts about the regions in Italy. Once finished cooking, we were able to sit down in the sun room and enjoy the lunch we had prepared. Delicious does not even begin to explain how amazing everything was. My wife and I still reminisce about our trip to Italy and talk about how spending the day learning to cook was our favorite day on the trip. We have even made the dishes at home!

If you love to cook, love Italian culture, or just want to eat the best meal you ever had in your life... then you must take a class with Veronica! It will be the highlight of your trip to Italy. We hope to come back and take another class in the future!
