The organization in Florence handling the tour was very inconsistent with the booking. We purchased 9:45 months in advance then changed to 10:45. Got in a 60 min cue @ 11 Total waste of money. We could have purchased our own ticket for half the price and wished just as long. It also gave a very suspicious vibe with agents negotiating to jump the cues

Skip the line does not mean much. you get in the line with everone and your tour guide talks about the exterior of the building and history. The skip the line is not what you might think. Tour guide was good.
Italy is an unbelievable country, and I truly enjoyed seeing its incredible history, architecture, and beautiful landmarks. The Statue of David was absolutely breathtaking and is something everyone should experience at least once. Unfortunately, this particular tour was not well organized. The audio guide was difficult to follow and wasn’t very helpful, which took away from the overall experience. I also felt that many of the staff members we encountered were not very friendly or willing to assist when we had questions. Despite my disappointment with the tour, Italy itself is absolutely beautiful, and I would definitely return to explore more on my own
We purchased the tour that included audio guides for the four of us. When we met up with the tour guide he let one of us scan a code for the audio on our phone and then took off. That left 3 of us without audio. The audio didn’t even cover most of the museum. The audio guide the museum sold was much more comprehensive. I sent a message to the tour guide but they never bothered to reply back. Total waste of money.
The directions were very unclear, and we walked around for an hour trying to find the correct spot to collect the tickets. Finally found someone to help us near the museum. We never did find the ticket location of Italy Pass Tours. Luckily someone was near the museum entrance to help us. The actual experience of the museum was wonderful! Highly recommend.
Tour operator validated a confirmed reservation, but there was in error in communication between Italy Pass (tour operator) and Viator. They would not honor our timed entry reservation on our last day in Florence. They did provide tickets for later that day, but we were already committed to another tour.
A little chaotic getting the tickets, but we did receive them. If you get the optional audio guide, be sure to get the ticket for that before entering.
Poorly organised. No clear instructions on how to collect ticket or what to do once it is collected. Some staff tell you to line up while others say you don’t have to. Not given any information on audio headsets for guided tour.
My husband and I did the tour with the audio and enjoyed it. We were able to go at our own pace. The pieces in this gallery were just stunning.
Very approachable museum. See the David and 3 other Michelangelo unfinished sculptures. Then you are able to go as fast or slow as you want - perfect for a tired kid to not get museumed out. 30 minutes is plenty in that case. This skip the line was well done. Pick up the ticket at their main office about 2 blocks away then they were very efficient getting us to the fastest time slot to get in even a bit earlier than our scheduled time.
While it was low season, they still had lines forming outside -- so I opted to book a tour with easy access and audio! I'm so glad I did it!
The admission line was very long, and we were so glad we’d signed up for this experience, since we bypassed that line to scoot right in. The audio guide is extra, but our cost was only €6 or €7 apiece, and worth it.
We purchased skip the line tickets through Italy Pass Tours and had some difficulty figuring out how to redeem the tickets - you have to go to their office at Via de Pucci 37. However once we figured that out the owner helped us make our entrance time - very helpful! The museum was fantastic - a great size for families too. It was not so big that our children were dragging. We got the audio guides for €6 each - definitely recommend them.
Following directions to voucher stand that is inside. Meet the ticket guy at a door right outside of the entrance. Short wait to enter. Give yourself at least 20 minutes to make the stops before entering.
We never got our tickets, we emailed without reply. Arrived for a 10:15 only to be told then our tour was delayed to 11:15. We paid for an audio tour and we were not given information or audio devices. We paid for skip the line, a total joke. We would have had as good a tour by paying 40% less. Don’t book with this tour company.
We had skip-the-line tickets for 10:15. We were told upon arrival that our tickets were now for 11:15. There was no prior communication to advise this change. Two of us never received our electronic tickets, and there was no response to a message requesting re-submission of e-tickets. Once inside the Galleria, we were told that the audio guide portion that was paid for was not valid and we should check the app. We were not advised of this either and were unwilling to pay another 6€ per person as we had already paid more than the entrance fee to the museum. It was a gong show!!
Alex was a great tour guide, I highly recommend this tour. We gathered at the pre determined meeting location and were checked in and provided with our audio units. Alex led us through with great explanation of the history of the statues.
We booked tickets with crown tours as the academia tickets were sold out for the day a time we wanted. This was a non guided tour. Their representative met us as the meeting point and took us via the group line- it was smooth. we had downloaded the ricks reeves audio guide on the David and it was superb. Gave us some good insights with interesting history stories. Visit to Florence is worth The David - a must do.
Buy your ticket in advance with the preferencial ( skip the line), otherwise tou'll wait many hours of waiting. It worth to invest a little more
Easy peasy! Did just what our contact said. Tickets available exactly as stated. Walked right in! Give it a try
Better instructions for where to pick up the museum tickets. The ticket office agents were friendly and gave a good explanation how the tour work.
We booked the audio tour but were given the wrong tickets without audio. After chasing down the rep he eventually gave us the right tickets without audio. The mark up on actual price was incredible, so I would recommend going direct! But the museum is fabulous!
Getting tickets was chaotic & we didn’t get the audio machines we had paid for. Obviously would have been better if it hadn’t been raining but the system could be much better. Once inside the academia it was good but unfortunately there are too many organised groups inside so getting to freely see pictures isn’t easy. Without doubt the best piece was David & that gallery with the unfinished blocks
Getting to skip the LONG line in 90 degree weather really was the best thing! We got to enjoy the museum and the David without being exhausted from the wait.
Awesome experience! Easy meet up, guide was very knowledgeable and nice. Learned so much and had a great time. Highly recc!
Skipping the queue was well worth the extra money and arriving as the first group of people allowed us to view the art without massive crowds. Instructions on how to get the ticket are straight forward. An experience that we will never forgot and one not to miss!
Please ensure you put the right date. Even if you call them 5 minute later they refuse to change and won’t refund any of the $ 300 + we spent. Also if you do fast track as we went anyway location of tiny shop with no street nb is almost impossible to find. TERRIBLE service but Gorgeous statue.
This was a very smooth straightforward experience. It was easy to get the tickets and get into the gallery . Thanks so much
Upon arrival at the Accademia, there was no directional signage as to where to get tickets. We had to ask several people where we were to meet up with representative. Wasted a lot of time finding him. Once found he did not have audio equipment that was to b included in tour. Called someone to bring but we never received audio tour equipment. There was NO skipping the lines as was indicated in advertisement, but something tells me there really isn't a "skip the line" option at this destination Accademia
We were met by our guide and were able to skip the queue which was a huge benefit. Once in the space was easy to move around and the exhibits were amazing.
The galleries only real atraction is David, and it's worth it. The ticket i bought with you, said with audio guide, and it wasn't included
My biggest complaint with this tour is that the ticket that you get in TripAdvisor is not the actual ticket, which you have to pick up from a representative, however there are so many people there and the representative barely has if any discernible markings to let you know this is who they are, so we had to get out of the line to find them and then ended up at the very back of the line. Secondly, and to be clear, the only line you skip is the ticket purchasing line, which you can purchase from multiple sites to include the gallerias if you wanted. The galleria lets people in groups based off the reservation time.. if you have 0915 tickets, there will be a line you stand in and wait to enter the Gallery with everyone else who is entering at 0915… This was misleading and unless you have a guided tour, you will walk through the gallery at your own pace anyway alongside the throngs of people inside.. so if you want to book everything through one App like TripAdvisor then it’s fine but know you are not skipping lines.
Our tickets said it was an audio tour. When we presented our tickets we were told that audio was not included.
Excellent tour. Amazing artwork. The workmanship those artists had! You certainly do not see that now. I recommend it to anyone
The woman at the ticket center was great. We were late-because I did not read the instructions! She accommodated us. Thanks!
I had read a few bad reviews about their experience with Italy pass so was a bit worried about using them but all tickets were sold to the Gallery Accademia on the days we were in Firenze and I really wanted to go. I was pleasantly surprised. The office to pick up the tickets was easy to find and is a few minutes walk away from the gallery. The girls there were really helpful. We were early and they offered us an earlier time slot to go in which we appreciated. Obviously it’s more expensive than buying tickets directly but a great option if there are no direct tickets available. It was nice to jump the long queue also. All round a positive experience.
When we saw the line to enter, it definitely seemed worth it to buy the fast pass/skip the line option. You have to pick up the tickets in person before hand, but the location was nearby and easy to find. Shout out to Ahmed for his service!
Still waiting for the ticket to be emailed so couldn’t get in. Not much else to say here as I haven’t seen it, but I’ll add I need 100 characters minimum to submit my review.
Easy to find ticket exchange and process was quick. The museum is a must-see and this allowed us to barely wait in line to enter.
This ticket allowed us to enter at our preferred time. It is worth purchasing during this time of year when tourism is high. Be aware of the meeting place to pick up your ticket. The location is on the voucher, not where Viator tells you.
No fast pass, stood inline for 50 minutes No clear directions or help from the staff. Pure chaos. Won’t recommend!!!
Great communication when we were trying to meet up with person to get tickets. Did have to go back out to get tickets for the kids, so a little hiccup, but got it taken care of. We decided to go the day before and tickets were sold out everywhere. We only had a limited amount of time (on a cruise), so this was perfect to avoid standing in lines.
We felt it was very unclear how to obtain our tickets. The link in the app said it would provide us our voucher, but over and over again it rerouted us to our email booking confirmation with no voucher. It wasn’t until we spoke with someone at the Academia that they told us how to find someone from Italy pass tours. It was very busy and crowded and this was stressful. Once we connected with their agent, they did get us the tickets, but there should have been much more clear instructions in the app or email. We saw this happen to someone in front of us as well, and they had to get out of line when we were being taken inside for the same reason. Once that was resolved, the process was easier and we enjoyed the museum.
I paid $83 for two tickets worth $45 (as printed on them when picked up with the voucher). Used a 20% discount on TripAdvisor and paid full price on checkout. Never buying anything off TripAdvisor again!
Weird experience finding the ticket guys but it turned out they did not scam. me so that was cool. Saw David it was beautiful
The directions were very unclear and the communication was poor. We weren’t sure where to go. We thought that our barcode was the ticket to get into the museum and we were sent away to go to an office that did not exist. We spend a half an hour walking to find it, only to be sent back to the museum. thank God for the other tour companies, they knew the person running the tour company for our contact so they directed us to that person and we were not the only ones feeling the frustration on that day. There was another couple. I think if they were to provide direct message contact with a map where to meet and clear step-by-step directions it would’ve been much better . The good thing is we eventually, (1h 30 min. After our scheduled time) got in and we were able to enjoy the museum.
Chaotic check in, lines regardless and staff struggling to manage it all. Once inside, it is not as bad. David is the star, of course. You will get to see beautiful paintings and sculptures as well. Out ticket was basic, with no guide, so definitely take the time to learn on your own. The museum is not as vast as Uffizi (we did both in one day). Glad we did not spend more money.
Didn’t know what to expect but was definitely pleasantly surprised! David is spectacular. It was also definitely worth paying for the fast-track entry as queues were long even at the start of the day.
Great service from start to finish. Everything went smoothly and straight into the Gallery without delay. Would certainly use again.
We took a handful of photos of the statue of David but the line was still long even with the fast track pass. Make sure to get there 5-10min early. Skip the audio guide it’s 6€ and totally not worth it. It doesn’t have an audio for every piece of art and the ones it does have audio for are incredibly long and you don’t have time to stand in front of each piece and listen bc it is so busy the group keeps moving.
