Just a great explanation of David, damages that had occurred over the years and been repaired, about Michelangelo and his life, and also explanation of his style and his other sculpture appearing at this museum. So rich in history and detail. Just excellent.

This tour gets 3 stars instead of 1 because we did get to see David. We wanted the early time to beat some crowds and get to another tour same morning. We were told to meet at a certain spot 15 min early to receive our tickets and skip the line. The person was late and barely spoke English. We were told her associate was going to get our tickets. We were finally given tickets and told to go over there to the red line. By this time, the line was wrapped around the block. There was no skipping the line. Very disappointed with the service received after paying a premium for the tickets. We did get to see David and that was well worth it, but Caf tours I would never use again.
The Accademia Gallery was a good experience, mainly because of the famous David statue by Michelangelo. Seeing the statue in real life was really impressive, and it was definitely the main highlight of my visit. It’s amazing to see the amount of detail up close and understand why it’s such a famous piece of art. Compared to the Uffizi Gallery, I felt like there wasn’t as much to see, so the visit was shorter. There is an admission fee, but I think it’s worth it if you’re in Florence and want to see David in person. The atmosphere was quite calm and focused on the artwork, although there were plenty of visitors around the main statue. I visited solo and enjoyed being able to take my time looking around. The staff were helpful enough, and the gallery was easy to explore. I’d recommend it especially for solo travellers, art lovers, history lovers and anyone visiting Florence who wants to see Michelangelo’s David. Even though there isn’t as much to see compared with some other galleries, seeing David in person makes the visit worthwhile.
We did the skip-the-line tickets and got right in. David is truly amazing. There was part of the museum that I think everyone missed as there was literally no one in that entire section.
Absolutely do not get this ticket. It serves no value at all. Book the ticket thru the museum directly. We essentially picked up our ticket and stood in the same line as all the others. The David is the only well known art, most is religious icons-beautiful but seen everywhere in Florence.
Booking wasn’t confirmed but we got charged anyway. Then the tour guide didn’t show with no communication whatsoever. Poor communication and I had to request a refund
Our start time was delayed because the staff did not have the information for ticketing organized in a way that met the needs of all the customers.
As advertised. Got to skip the line, was very smooth. Pretty direct and we were able to see everything easily.
There was a little confusion on the meeting point but it resolved in time. We enjoyed the self guided option as it allowed to dwell in the exhibits we enjoyed the most.
A must see nothing more impressive than the David. The Rape of the Sabine will bring tears to your eyes. You must educate yourself about Michelangelo’s prisoners then visit each one of them.
Collecting our tickets and the skip the line access was quick and went smoothly, meaning we had more time to enjoy the incredible pieces within the gallery.
Our visit to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David was smooth and well-organized. It was easy to meet up with our guide and get our tickets, and she was friendly and even gave us a great local coffee recommendation while we waited. Overall, the process was simple, and the experience of seeing David in person was absolutely worth it!
Received tickets at meeting point. The only strange thing is when we met to pick up our tickets they were for a later entry time than I actually purchased. Like 2 hours later. It ended up being ok because I gave us enough time between tours to get to our second one, but it still was not exactly what I agreed to purchasing.
Good gallery, easy to find. The gallery is not very big, it takes maybe an hour to go through. It does get pretty crowded so Id recommend going as early as possible in the day.
Entrance to the museum was on time and ran smoothly. Had plenty of time to admire the artwork. Seeing Michelangelo's "David" was our main interest but there were also many other pieces to discover and enjoy. It was a little difficult to find. Would recommend this museum.
Meeting place was a bit confusing trying to find the right person. They hand you the actual tickets and send you to a line to wait in. However the wait was relatively short. I’d probably do it again.
This is not skip the line. They claim it is hence the extra costs but they literally hand you a ticket which costs 16 euro and you wait in line with everyone else. Absolutely ridiculous.
We found our ticket handler very easily and had no issues. The entry time was exact and we loved that we could skip the main line to enter.
It was a fun time and the process with Viator was easy. We had fun and went wow cool neat! Wow! That was fun!
We checked in and got 3 admission tickets from a person wearing blue attire at the meeting location. We had priority entrance and didn’t wait in line. We entered with everyone from Viator group at 8:30AM time. Would recommend getting tickets with Viator!
The meeting point instructions were quite confusing. I finally found the assistants on the corner of piazza San Marco and Ricasoli which is a block north of the loggiato of accademia delle belle Arti sign. Then you need to speak up regarding the type of ticket and time you purchased. Then you are in!
Amazing! It took us a while to figure out who would give us the entry tickets (blue shirts), but once that was done, we found out line for the time slot and went right in. Very crowded.
Other than handing us a ticket they didn’t provide any other service. We still have to stand in line, but I guess it’s just a shorter line. Of course the actual museum was great to visit and seeing the magnificent David. But it would be nice if tickets were available online at the regular price and not be marked up by vendors.
Second time visiting this museum and never disappoints. Victoria made it so easy we picked up our tickets and walked right in. No lines
The hosts were hard to locate, handed us tickets for a later time than we booked. Fortunately, a museum employee took pity on us and let us in at the time we booked. Good thing since we had a flight to catch. Also, the hosts made us wait to get in line even though our whole group was there - which landed us behind a huge tour group and made our wait longer.
This isn't a tour, simply a ticket to the exhibit that gives you direct entry at a specific time. It the made the experience very easy.
Getting our vouchers changed into tickets was easy and quick and early entry is a smart choice with skip the line tickets because there were less people inside the museum, and we did not have to wait outside in a line for any time since we arrived 15 minutes before our time and were sent right in.
Awesome experience. Viator only provided the ticket. It was convenient because the tickets through the museum website were sold out for the day and we had one in our group who joined after we had bought our tickets. Thanks to Viator she was able to join us.
You must see it, put your phone away and study with your eyes. Appreciate the moment, it’s worth it.
We missed our group (our fault). The tour company helped us get our tickets so we could stil enter. Communicating with them was easy and good
A seamless experience from start to finish. Follow the Google maps link and you'll find the person in blue to pick up your tickets from. You then skip the queue and see David within minutes. We went super early to escape the crowds and the heat and recommend others do this too.
Essentially this tour obtains group tickets, by pulling together a group of people who aren't an 'organised group'. It works very well. Our entry time was 8.30am, and this was wise. The gallery was already getting crowded by the time we left. The plaster casts exhibition is well worth a look, as well as the David.
Easy. We showed up at our exact time (8:30 for an 8:30 entrance) and it was perfect. It also had much better availability than booking through website.
Amazing experience—but go early in the day to avoid the crowds. Well worth the visit! A good museum to see on your own (no guide)!
Amazing! Would recommend getting there 20-30 min early to get your voucher, we were late and were worried we wouldn’t be able to get in. Skipping the line is definitely worth it as when we left the line was down the street.
We booked the skip-the-line ticket, and everything was clearly organized. The meeting point and time were easy to follow. The representative made sure we were all in line ahead of time, handed us our tickets, and walked us to the entrance. Very quick and efficient access!
Easy method to obtain reserved tickets to Galleria dell'Accademia. Representative was on street exactly where described in email and via google map link. I'd actually reserved 9am tickets but arrived at 8:30 and was given a ticket for 8:30 - 8:45 which allowed me to get in immediately. Tickets are more costly than if purchased through the official Accademia website, however provided an option for those of us planning a trip on short notice.
The tickets were legitimate, but the process and instructions for where to receive the tickets could be better. As a result, we give this service an average rating. We received the voucher immediately, but the day-of pick up point to get the actual museum tickets was just the museum’s street address. We walked around looking for a store front or at least some kind of sign at the address given….but there is none…just a door to the museum that is completely independent of this ticket company. Eventually, a normally dressed man walked up to us in the street and asked if we were looking for our reserved tickets, checked our name off his list, and gave us tickets. The extra time looking around with no signs or better instructions on how to identify this man walking around in the street with the tickets nearly put us past the entrance time window on the tickets.
So excited to see David. There were also a number of other Interesting sculptures to see. Sign up for early visits. Is advised.
The ticket was delivered just when the tour time started. I had a difficult to find the guide to provide the ticket and nobody to contact which added more stress. Hope the ticket can distribute 1day ahead and the visitor can have better plan for the tour.
This is a must see in the city of Florence of course. I cannot stress the importance of purchasing a reservation ticket ahead of time. The line for those waiting for a time slot was around the block. The displays inside are incredible of course. The museum is amazing regardless of seeing theDavid statue. There are other displays that are really more amazing than David.
The contact made sure we all stood in line in advance, handed us a ticket, and walked us to the entrance. Quick and efficient for access. No additional information or resources provided with "Skip the line" tour.
The guide was spectacular! He greatly explained the statues’ history, building and Michelangelo biography. It was interesting to get to know
The tour company representatives were there waiting with our tickets when we arrived. They handed us out tickets and we went in without any issues.
Amazing to see the statue of David.incredible detail,a must see if in Florence.. To see also the unfinished works was great.
A little difficult to find our point of contact. We had to ask a couple of people where to find our contact.
Obtaining your "B" (blue) ticket on line (& well in advance ! or you'll neve get in at the lowest "official" price is the Number One priority. IUts requires a lot of concentration & perseverance /dedication because there's a great deal of advertised re-selling of tix that tempt you to pay more for "priority" entry. At a higher price! And whilst these options are legitimately offering extra services of various kinds , if you just wish to go into the gallery --& especially see Uncle David--the "B" ticket is the way to go ! Very close to the modestly small & presented ENTRY, are MANY different lines of entry .. the one you look for confusingly DOES NOT mention the "B " ticket in ant way (very Italian! ) But your cue is there's a flip card on a stick close to the main door & it mentions "priority entry "..THAT'S the one you're looking for ! The numerous guys patrolling the various queue lines set up either side of the Gallery Entry are extraordinarily patient with confused prospective attendees continuously asking where they should go ?what queue they should they be in? & I must pay them the courtesy of being so obliging. Management could surely do even more to ease all of this ..but this is what it is & its pretty good given all the possibilities of it being even more chaotic! ! # Absurdly you have your entry ticket meaninglessly electronically rescanned a SECOND time INSIDE the gallery building immediate to entering the gallery proper--- so don't heave a sigh of relief once inside, & put that precious ticket away anywhere! ...Oh and "HE " is absolutely worth all of this ..the then 26 yeor old Michelangelo's sculptural masterpiece will blow you away ...
We stayed overnight in Florence to ensure we made the early morning tour to see ‘David’. We got there a few mins late and contacted the tour operator CAF to get our tickets. A woman answered and sent us a map link to find their location to pick up our tickets that allows us to skip the line. About a 15min walk we located the building and made our way up to the 2nd floor, rang the bell and a man appeared and gave us the tickets and asked my name to confirm he was giving the tickets to the right people. I thought that was funny since you have to really search to find this location. We made our way back, and inside past very long lines now. David did not disappoint. Great experience a must in Florence. CAF Tours is great and very reputable.
It worked. Found the meeting point quite easily, and got into the Accademia Gallery. Make sure to check the official site for availability first, as tickets will be cheaper. This is a great option IF the official tickets are out of stock.
I’m so grateful we were able to get this tour in our schedule! Super interesting. Lots of great historical insights. Wonderful tour guide. The Accademia ( & the David!) did not disappoint! A bucket list item for me, and I’d gladly go again.
