This is a must do! Easy going and a great day tour for a car enthusiasts or a novice like me. It provides a good overview of the historical car manufacturers in the area.
Ian was a great host. Very knowledgeable about the history of Lamborghini and Ferrari. I strongly recommend booking a tour with Ian. Thank you!!!
Amazing day! Ian was so knowledgeable and told heaps of great stories! Made a wonderful day even better!
A great day of viewing beautiful Italian cars. Ian had lots of knowledge to share and made it a great day out. Great communication leading up to the tour. The family had a fantastic day. Totally recommend.
This was a fabulous unique experience to do while staying in Florence! Our guide, Ian, was so knowledgable about cars, one history and the entire industry. Even if you think you know everything you are definitely going to learn more doing this excursion!! Ian was on time, delivered great communication, and was a pleasure to spend the day with. We will definitely be reaching out to him the next time we are in Florence! Five stars all the way!
Ian was great - made sure my husband saw every car he wanted to see and kept my non-car 12yo occupied while my husband and other teens toured. In addition to being super nice, Ian was also an encyclopedia of car facts. Two thumbs up!
If you like Italian race cars, this is the trip for you. Antony, our guide, was extremely well versed in the heritage of the cars. He helped me top off the day with a 30 minute drive of a Ferrari 296GTS.
We were 4 cousins traveling through Italy and this was a must-stop from Florence for our 2 mechanics. Ian was an exceptional guide who informed us about everything we wanted to know from car history to current models, life living in Italy to local geography and travel tips. He tailored the excursion to our wants and needs and was patient, funny and excellent at his job. We were picked up at our hotel in a large, clean & comfortable Land Rover and enjoyed the scenery to Manarola. Once at the museums, Ian guided us through giving us the perfect balance of factual info and history while letting us also explore on our own. We opted to do both the Ferrari museums and Lambo, skipping Maserati. Nice that he was flexible with our plan. We also ate a delicious lunch at the family Ferrari museum. This tour was somewhat of a lifesaver because we originally thought about renting a car or taking the train there to do all of this which would’ve required 2 days out of our trip. The ability to do this as one excursion with transportation/guide, and knock them all out in a day was relaxing, convenient and cost saving in terms of time and $. This was one of our top tours on our 12 day trip. Highly recommend and try the simulators, they weren’t easy!! (Don’t tell my husband I said that 😜)
We had an amazing experience on this tour of classic motors! I was on a trip with my 14-year-old son and he truly enjoyed the entire day. Ian was an incredible guide — super friendly and accommodating. He had a ton of knowledge to share of the area well beyond just cars. I highly recommend this tour!
Ian was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the area and the vehicles including their history. He tailored the day to our interest. He and Antony were very responsive. If we return to Modena, we will definitely coordinate another tour with them.
The day was perfect. The drive was smooth with beautiful scenery. Ian was very friendly and informative. The museums were an amazing experience. Would highly recommend this tour.
Our day seeing Italian Motors was unforgettable, thanks to our amazing guide, Ian. He picked us up at the Florence train station with biscuits waiting for us—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the day. The drive to the Ferrari Museum was scenic and comfortable with Ian, pointing out notable sites along the way. As soon as we arrived at the first site, we signed up to drive an Italian car. The experience was good, though we drove through the city, so there wasn’t much opportunity to really open it up. Our driving coach, John Marco, was fantastic—knowledgeable & easygoing. The best part was the sound of the car’s engine, especially at startup! My husband drove, I sat in the back. He didn’t stop smiling the entire 30-minute drive. Having a Camaro back home (which is not the same. I get it ) he quickly got a feel for the car. After the drive, we toured the Ferrari Museum, where we learned about Enzo Ferrari’s quest for the perfect racing machine. Ian recommended we watch Ford v Ferrari, which we did that night—it gave us even more appreciation for what we had seen and experienced. If you’re planning this tour, watching the movie beforehand might be a great idea! Next, we had lunch at a beautiful local restaurant. Ian was an absolute pleasure to talk to—his knowledge of both Italy and the U.S. made for great conversation. After lunch, we visited a second Ferrari Museum, which was absolutely jaw-dropping as soon as we walked in. Then, we visited a quaint cheese farm where they produce Parmigiano Reggiano. The tasting was delicious, and we couldn’t resist buying cheese, wine, and other local delicacies to take home. Our final stop was the Lamborghini Museum. While not as detailed as the Ferrari Museum, it was still very interesting, especially for car enthusiasts. The day ended with a two-hour drive back to Florence, where Ian continued to be a fantastic host. He made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and full of great conversation. We highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Ian as your guide, you’re in for a real treat! He was knowledgeable, kind, and truly made our experience special. Thank you, Italian Motors, for an incredible day!
Great day spent with Ian! Such a fun way to spend the day with my 18 year old son! Learned so much about the cars and saw incredible cars I’ve never seen before.
Had an amazing time with Antony. Due to staffing issues I got him instead of Ian. It was still a great experience, and I loved every minute of the Ferrari tour. The other museums were closed except for Lamborghini. Definitely do the Ferrari test drive if you can. You won’t regret it :)
Ian is very knowledgeable about the history of Lamborghini & Ferrari. He gave us a smooth ride throughout the trip. Would highly recommend!
Ian was the perfect guide and driver. From the moment we met to the very end, we knew we were in good hands. The museum experiences met our expectations as well.
Ian was amazing! He and his business partner were very good with communication. Ian was easy to talk too and he knew a lot about the cars and history. Very easy going and well worth booking this tour! They care a lot about the clients and what they want.
All the stops were amazing, Ian did a great job explaining everything. Lunch spot was perfect. Great time!
Private tour with Ian was fabulous! A leisurely 1.5 hour drive through the Tuscan countryside to the Maserati museum and an interesting side stop at the Parmagiano Reggiano factory/cheese shop on site. Then on to the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums. Wow, what impressive displays of automotive design and performance excellence! My guide Ian, put all of the cars in historical context, making the cars have meaning beyond their individual specifications. A “must see” tour for car folks!
We had a fantastic day with Ian providing background and lessons on everything from driving Italian motorways to gelato.
Fantastic tour with Ian, who was a really outstanding guide. Ian reached out to me well in advance of the tour with the relevant information, so communication was excellent. He was on time (actually, almost 30 min early) on the day of our tour and everything went off without any issues. We loved the Ferrari test drive that the company arranged for us and really enjoyed the Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini museums. Lunch was planned at an amazing restaurant as well. This was one of our best tours during the 2+ week trip to Italy and we had a wonderful time. Ian was outstanding and very accommodating.
The private tour of the three motor museums was excellent!! We had the pleasure of having Ian as our tour guide - Ian was responsible, knowledgeable and absolutely passionate about cars and Italy. He was sensitive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. That was the absolute of our trip and we greatly enjoyed Ian’s guidance and hospitality.
Ian toured the 3 museums with me and my grandson. He was knowledgeable and personable. We were able to take our time, and the museums were not crowded. The highlight was the Ferrari museum!
What a day!!! Ian was an outstanding driver, guide, conversationalist and historian. This tour is for all who love cars, F1, history and great food and culture. Not to mention the ride from Florence to the area is amazingly beautiful. Thank you Ian for a Great way to complete our Italian vacation.
If we could give this trip 10 stars we would! Ian is an absolute incredible tour guide and when you combine his skills with the car museum experience you get a tour like no other. Each museum is unique, but the cars in the Ferrari museum are awesome. Lunch was delicious and the snacks Ian brought for the trip were perfect. Ian knows a lot about the cars and their history which certainly added to the experience. It was a great day, don’t miss it.
Ian was a great guide and communicated well through the whole process. Very convenient to be picked up at our hotel. The car museums were great for the car enthusiast. Ate lunch at a nice local place. Highly recommend.
My husband is a Lamborghini/Ferrari fan so a trip to the car museums was a must. This tour - with a pick up from our hotel in Florence - was perfect. Ian our guide was amazing! He was very professional but at the same time was a great companion. Everything went smoothly and on time. Would not hesitate in recommending him and Anthony.
We saw so many beautiful cars and our guide was so informative. Highly recommended. 4 brothers in our tour group.
Ian, our guide was fully engaged in our memorable trip with him My wife and I booked this trip for our grandson (13 years old) and our son. We visited three car museums, had local lunch, and my grandson purchased a quarter wheel of Parmesan cheese at a dairy adjacent to one of the museums. The tour description doesn’t do justice to the delightful and very special excursion.
An absolutely fantastic tour of the Maserati factory, Ferrari museum and Lamborghini museum with our guide Ian. Ian was so friendly, easy going and made us feel at ease immediately. It was like we had known him years! We had an absolute blast and nothing was too hard or rushed. Ian was kind enough to bring some snacks (including gluten free due to my dietary requirements) and water for the road. He recommended a variety of restaurants and took us to a fantastic mid-range restaurant that had delicious food. It was a perfect day together, thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend using this company for your tours, you won't be disappointed!
Antony was an absolutely fantastic tour guide; very prompt, courteous, very well informed and easy going. He moved at my pace, with no rushing and spent time with the vehicles I was interested in. Lunch at the Ferrari restaurant was very good and his choice of the Maserati and Lamborghini venues complimented the Ferrari museum experience perfectly. For any car enthusiastic, this is a game changing experience! 5 out of 5 stars
