I can’t say enough on how wonderful this experience was. Chef Elena and her assistant were masters in the kitchen and a pleasure to work with. They gave us choices on what food we wanted to create. We learned so many new cooking tips. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end.

This cooking class was a fantastic experience! Everyone in our group said they would be making these pasta dishes at home. Before booking, we looked into several other options, and we’re so glad we chose this place. It has a professional kitchen, but the space still has a warm, homey feel. It’s also just the right size, both in terms of the number of people in each class and the space itself. The experience was truly hands-on, and the food turned out fantastic—restaurant quality! Our chefs, Mary and Giorgio, were wonderful and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Family did a private 4 hour cooking session ending with a 4 course meal we prepared with wine. Just amazing place and lovely people running the place. Helena ran the session and was a total delight. Lots of info but still fun and tasty. So recommend.
Alessia our chef was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and really taught us how to cook the pasta. She shared many techniques and was very personable. We had a great time and would highly recommend it. One of our highlights of the trip.
My wife and I recently took the three hour pasta making class in Florence as an excursion during our recent Mediterranean Cruise. Our “Nona” for the day shared her secrets and supervised our kitchen work enabling us to make Italian Restaurant quality dishes which we later ate with gusto. The wine and company were excellent. We cannot wait to show off our new culinary skills to friends and family. Highly recommend this experience to all foodies.
I have been to several cooking classes, and this one was very hospitable. There was cheese, charcuterie and wine available upon our arrival and the actual class was small enough for everyone to stay involved and engaged. I appreciated that we all did each task at our own work bench (unlike a lot of classes that make you work in groups). My only critique is that as the evening continued the class became less organized and our involvement as students declined (for instance, we didn't get to plate the food). And not all of the actual recipes we made that night were available for us to download afterwards and repeat at home. The kitchen is very clean and organized, the food delicious and the chef kind. My favorite part is we got to use fresh artichokes because they were in season.
Our chef, Elena, was awesome! My husband who is not a cook became inspired and just made the tiramsu dessert he was taught in our class. He did a great job! It was delicious only bc Elena was an inspiring teacher who made us all feel confident in our abilities. Loved this class!
Wonderful experience!! Everything was so much fun!!
Fabulous evening with Giorgio. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. The entire evening was well structured- instructions were easy to follow along with and there were lots of opportunities to ask questions. We wish we had a notepad to take down all the tips, techniques and tricks! The studio was warm and inviting - a real treat to experience cooking in a 15th century building. Giorgio was entertaining and shared a lot of his background and experience. Our entire family (two kids in early 20s) loved it. And the food was delicious!
Wonderful experience! Great food! Great instructor! Tons of fun! I took my Study Abroad class of 8 students. All the students agreed that this was one of the highlights of their time in Italy.
I went to the pasta making class as part of a group. We had only just met and it was a great way to get to know everyone. We made pasta, a filling and tiramsui. We had canapés and wine before and whilst making our pasta. We then had the pleasure of eating our efforts which was lovely. I never thought I'd be able to make pasta and the tiramsui was the best I'd ever tasted but so simple to make. Would definitely recommend, a delightful experience.
We were met with appetizers and Prosecco and friendly greetings from the chefs. The demonstration made making pasta look easy, the making of pasta ourselves was more difficult but made me appreciative of the amount of physical work in making pasta. Thanks especially to the kitchen girl Alessia who helped me knead my dough. The stuffing for the ravioli was simple, easy and oh! so tasty later when we ate our work. And tho I've never made a tiramisu I have eaten many. The one we made in class was stupendous. Recipes were made available. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful with our shyness and bumbling, and the foods we ate from our creations were truly yummy.
Great team, great friendly chef. Family friendly. Made our food then ate with wine provided. We took our teenage daughters who also really enjoyed the experience. Now I can make pasta, ravioli and a fantastic tiramisu! Elena was lovely. V patient and great with the girls. Would thoroughly recommend this cooking school. I’ll be back for a longer session.
During our family vacation in Florence, we attended a cooking class at the Florence Food Studio, led by the talented Chef Meri. This experience proved to be an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we entered the kitchen, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by Chef Meri and the team. The atmosphere was inviting and made us feel right at home. The class covered a variety of traditional dishes, including homemade pasta, Panzanella salad, lightly breaded chicken, and Tiramisu. Chef Mair guided us through each recipe, providing valuable tips and techniques that made us feel confident in recreating these dishes at home. Chef Meri shared fascinating anecdotes about Florentine culinary traditions, ingredients, and the significance of each dish in Italian culture. This enriched our understanding and appreciation of the food we were preparing. The hands-on nature of the class allowed us to actively participate in every step, from kneading the pasta dough to assembling the Tiramisu. The Florence Food Studio, under Chef Mair's expert guidance, provided an authentic and unforgettable culinary experience that we will value for years to come. I highly recommend the Florence Food Studio to anyone seeking a unique and engaging way to immerse themselves in Italian culture. The combination of Chef Meri’s teaching, the intimate setting and the focus on storytelling make this cooking class an unforgettable experience!
Fun and delicious! Loved going to the market and cooking with the chef. You get 2 pastas and a full dessert which was fantastic.
This is an excellent lunch class and the venue is superb. Outstanding teacher in Elena and the people in our class were great company. Thanks for a wonderful day in Florence
Fantastic teaching. Made ravioli, pasta sauce and tiramisu. They provide everything and walk you through the process answering all of your questions and personally demonstrating all of the steps. Easy to learn and take back hands on knowledge.
This was an AMAZING experience!! Giorgio was fantastic. The best ravioli I’ve had in my life, and the tiramisu was top-tier. I loved the hands-on learning experience and I would highly recommend this! I will surely be returning!
Genevra was fantastic! We did the Pasta Making in Florence class. We made spinach and ricotta ravioli in a sage butter sauce, tagliatelle with tomato sauce, and Tiramisu! All from scratch! Everything tasted amazing and we had the absolute best time! The next time we visit Florence, we will book a different class and come back again!
So amazing!! I loved the cooking experience and the food turned out delicious. The teachers were very informative and super friendly.
I loved the guy in the blue chef outfit, great energy! Yummy food too, sage butter ravioli was so good and the tiramisu was too.
Elena was amazing! Such a fun welcome to Italy! We made delicious pasta and tiramisù . They accomodated dietary restrictions. Such a fun night! Highly recommend!
Exceeded our expectations- we loved it from start to finish. The prosecco was flowing & Georgio was the perfect host, charming, welcoming, funny & a knowledgeable chef! Food was delicious and we made some new friends. Highly recommend.
Excellent experience. Loved leaning how to make fresh pasta from scratch and tiramisu. Elena made our experience positive and fun. Thank you.
Great small group, great chef, great experience! I Would highly recommend. Everyone gets to participate in a spacious kitchen.
Elena was amazing!! This was so much fun. Absolutely delightful. I will definitely share my experience with friends and family.
We did a private lesson for the family with Ginevra and Elena. It was so cool to be in a commercial kitchen working with these amazing chefs. Cooking is a major hobby of mine and it was just incredibly fun to learn from them, and they were so personable it felt like cooking with your friends. The meal that our fettuccine turned into (which I can't take any credit for) ended up being the best food I had on our entire trip. Love love love this place.
Our chef had us stop on the way to the cooking school to grab some fresh artichokes that we used to make a delicious sauce for our pasta. Once we arrived at the school we were treated to a wonderful charcuterie board and prosecco - yum. We were taken through the whole process of making pasta (raviolis and tagliatelle, see photos). We followed this up with some Tiramisu that completed the fantastic meal.
Such a fun experience. Had a great time and learned a lot about pasta. Definitely recommend in Florence. Elena was a great teacher!
We had an amazing experiece with our family. Mary was kind, understanding and informative while being flexible with our kids of various ages. We highly recommend this experience, you will not be disappointmed!!
I highly recommend the pasta making class! Giorgio is an excellent chef and teacher who made the experience fun and memorable. The pasta we made was delicious which we were able to enjoy in the beautiful studio.
Unforgettable Pasta Masterclass Experience! We had the most amazing time at this pasta masterclass! We learned how to make pasta, ravioli, and dessert — and everything turned out incredibly delicious. The highlight for me was the pear and ricotta ravioli – such a unique and flavorful recipe! The tiramisu was absolutely divine; honestly, I can’t enjoy the one in restaurants anymore after tasting this one. The chef was fantastic — he shared so many secrets and special tips about authentic Italian cuisine. Making pasta from scratch was surprisingly easy and so much fun. I’ll never go back to store-bought pasta again! The pesto sauce we made was also bursting with flavor. This experience was unforgettable, and we’re definitely coming back for another class! Highly recommended!
Elena was such a welcoming host from the moment we arrived. Shopping for fresh food in the market was a delight as she explained what was in season, and how to prepare some of the local fruits and veggies. Once we arrived to the studio Elena and the entire staff were so attentive. They made all the recipes easy to follow, and fun to follow along. Eating at the end was one of the best meals we've had during our entire trip to Italy! My wife and I give this the highest possible recommendation, and cannot wait to try some of these recipes at home!
Elana was a terrific host and instructor. Would highly recommend this tour. Also, the food was excellent as well as the wine
This cooking class was an excellent addition to our family Italy vacation. Giorgio proved to be an engaging and entertaining host and provided a welcoming environment to our family. The Florence Food Studio was a beautiful setting, and our family thoroughly enjoyed making our own pasta, sauce and desert. Giorgio rules!
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience. George was great!!! He was funny and definitely skilled in pasta making. He included everyone and was very informative throughout the class. Everything was delicious including the tiramisu. I highly recommend this experience.
Fantastic experience! Thanks for the attention, the recipes and great food! We recommend!! It is a must do in Florence!!
We had an awesome time with this tour. It started when our chef met us at the market to shop for vegetables. Chef Mary was great, and it was great to be able to pick out what we would be cooking later. We made ravioli and spaghetti with pesto. Chef Mary walked us through all of it and then we finished by eating a lunch of what we had made. Just a great couples experience. Highly recommend.
This has been the highlight of our visit to Florence! Giorgio and Elena were awesome and made it such a great experience. The class was fun and the food was delicious! Highly recommend and will book another class the next time we visit.
Everything was fantastic, a must go! We did pizza and gelato as a family and it was delicious. We made all the ingredients from scratch and it was well worth it. Elena is the best!
A truly fantastic experience. Our boss Ginevra was not only super professional but also a mood maker. She immediately breaks the ice with unknown people at a gathering for an unforgettable evening. We learned a lot and look back on this evening as one of the most special of our vacation!
