We had a great time touring Florence with Vanessa. We chose to do a tour on our first day to get a sense of the city, sort of a Florence 101 course. We learned so much about the history and culture of Florence from Vanessa. She was friendly, informative, and interesting. She asked questions of what we were interested in and tailored the tour accordingly. Vanessa gave us suggestions on places to go and things to see for the next few days we had in Florence; her recommendations were spot on! By the time we finished we felt like not only had we gained a sense of the city, we had gained a friend. We highly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking to learn a little or a lot about the art, history, and culture of Florence.
I met Vanessa over 5 years ago when I was traveling Solo and she was working for a Golf Cart tour Company. It was my first day in Florence and I had a hard time finding where I was supposed to go. She guided me to where she was located and we remained in touch even when I returned home. She has a huge heart and such compassion and we immediately had a special connection. When Tom and I returned 3 years ago to the day! We found the same Golf cart company that which her Partner, Enrico owned and he took us on a private tour and they had transformed their Business model into a Tour Company in Florence. So we go to know Enrico and we knew we had found 2 very special people in Italy that we would remain friends with forever! We also did a tour on that trip with Vanessa to visit Artisan shops and to explore the Oltrarno area. She introduced me to me several Artisans on Sdrucciolo dei Pitti street right across from Pitti Palace. (And several others) I visit these shop owners who have also become friends every time we come back. So on this trip….it truly was returning to visit good friends in Florence. We met Vanessa in the afternoon and she offer a couple of places we had not been. We chose to visit the Medici Ricarrdi Palace as I heard it was amazing (And super stunning Chapel) And it did not dis appoint. Her knowledge about all of Florence is amazing. What a special experience. But even more is Tom and I both feel like we have found family in all of Italy. Blessed for sure! 🥰
Vanessa was a fantastic tour guide! We walked for 2 hours and saw the main sites and also hidden gems! I would recommend her %110!! Best way to start a trip!
We had such a great time on this tour with Vanessa! She was so knowledgeable about the history of Florence. We stopped several locations where we were able to taste the local cuisine. The food was great in the hospitality in the locations were awesome. We didn’t even have to wait to eat. We had wine in a private area and our tables were already reserved in every location. I loved being able to support the local eateries that may be hidden from most tourists. If you want to get a good taste of Florence life the people, the food and the history I would highly recommend choosing Vanessa, you won’t be disappointed. When we return to Florence we will definitely come back!
Excellent tour and wonderful demeanor. Also offered a variety of options for dinner and afternoon activities. Highly recommend!!
We are so happy we booked the private tour with Vanessa. She was able to provide so much history that we never would have experienced in a large group. The best part is being able to ask questions and Vanessa knew all the answers. She speaks English very well. Thank you Vanessa for making Florence so memorable for me and my family!😌
Who would have thought tripe and liver could be so delicious. Vanessa and Henry took us to some great local places to eat (and drink) and told us about the culture and history of Florence. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. It was a really great afternoon.
Monday October 30, 2023 Tour with Vanessa ~HUGE Thank You to Vanessa for her wonderful tour of Florence! Vanessa was calm, friendly, knowledgeable, and warmly passionate about her city. You are awesome!
Vanessa was very good in guiding our group inside the Uffizi in Florence, in 2 hours we were able to visit the most prestigious rooms and works, thanks to her extraordinary competence and professionalism.
Vanessa has a deep historical and artistic knowledge of Florence. Great empathy and a sweet smile.
Vanessa is very prepared, attentive and customizes the tour as the group likes. Sincerely passionate about her work, history and art she transmits her passion to everyone. Highly recommended
We left in 6 for Florence at the last moment and we could not find tickets for the most popular museums. So we opted for a city tour with a private guide. Vanessa was recommended by a colleague of hers and visiting Florence with her was a fantastic experience! Very kind, helpful and with an excellent knowledge of the city and its history. We plan to return to Florence in 2026 and will definitely contact Vanessa!
Happy to have followed the advice of a girl living in Florence. My 69-year-old mom and I spent a very pleasant afternoon with Vanessa who showed us, explained and revealed many magical places in Florence in a clear and original way and taking into account our needs. We ended the tour with a wine tasting in a winery chosen by Vanessa and were delighted. We will definitely contact Vanessa again next time.
We went on a tour of the Uffizi and Vanessa, the guide who accompanied us, was just outstanding. From the very beginning, his passion for art and history was evident, and the way he was able to make every work and every corner of museums so interesting and engaging was extraordinary. If you are looking for a tour that will make you discover not only the beauty of these extraordinary places, but also the historical and cultural context that makes them unique, this is definitely the guide for you. Highly recommended!
Vanessa explained the history of the Medici family and then took us to the most significant places. In simple, but very effective language, he explained a lot of things to us. He infected us with his passion. Two hours flew by. We highly recommend it.
Very nice and engaging experience. Vanessa accompanied us on a 2-hour tour focused on the Medici dynasty, first with a visit to the Medici chapels and then on foot to the city center where we touched the most significant places related to the history of the Medici family. Vanessa 'was very professional and has been able to give a' imprint of liveliness' and lightness to the whole route. Time has flown!! Excellent also the advice he gave us for lunch. We will definitely repeat the experience.
Experience bella.Vanessa proved very prepared, always very kind and ready to satisfy our curiosity. Definitely recommend
We took a guided tour in February with Vanessa through the historic center of Florence!! Vanessa welcomed us with such kindness and kindness, she took us on a tour in about an hour and a little more, giving us a general historical background while we walked and saw the main streets, squares, churches and monuments of the center from outside. Very clear in her explanations, she put a lot of her own into telling us anecdotes and curiosities about the city, finally she gave us lots of advice on how we could continue our day, what to see and visit in the time we had available and many tips regarding places in where to eat the most typical things. We highly recommend it, wonderful experience. Thank you very much ❤️ Martina and Paolo
Professional and very kind, our guide took us around some of the most iconic places in Florence, telling us anecdotes and showing us places linked to the history of the city
Vanessa guided us through history from Piazza della Signoria to the Duomo passing through Dante's house. Very good and super prepared, I also recommend her for those who have kids because she manages to involve them. My 12 year old daughter was super attentive. When we return to Firrnze we will definitely contact you again
Vanessa was truly exceptional. Nice and very prepared. Unfortunately time flew by but the tour was really interesting.
The tour with Vanessa was one of the best ever, we had already been here last year and at the suggestion of our concierge we had chosen Local Guides. Now we are back and booked without delay these 2 hours with Vanessa. It was amazing. We saw some corners of Florence that we did not know. He introduced us to some small craft shops, we stopped for a good ice cream and told us many anecdotes that only a person who lives in the city can know. Thanks Vanessa see you in 2024!
