2 Hour Florence Pizza And Gelato Small Group Guided Cooking Class

We had fun doing this class. We not only learned how to make the pizza and gelato but learned background as well. The class was well though out in terms of timing and it kept it interesting. Our host was great and she shared some good stories. I would highly reccomend Florence Food Studio!

Very fun class with great pizza, gelato and sorbet. We had a lot of fun with the class but the instructor told you all the directions at once and then sent you to make your pizza. There were a lot of steps and it was easy to forget all the steps. Wish we could have broken it down a tad more. Also wish they provided printed recipes for what we made so we could practice at home.

Pizza and gelato workshop was good fun. Lots of handy tips and tricks. Met some very nice people. Got to eat everything at the end. Great workshop with a lot packed in. Would highly recommend.

I originally was signed up for the pizza class yet it got canceled because I was the only registrar so they slide at me into this pasta making class. It’s the same school/location and same chef. We had a fantastic time at this three-hour pasta and tiramisu cooking class! Our chef was excellent with our group of nine, making the experience fun, engaging, and easy to follow. He had a 90’s play list that gave good vibes. We made cucumber pesto, tomato sauce, fresh fettuccine, cheese ravioli, and a classic tiramisu. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly group, and enjoying red and white wine while cooking made the class feel like a wonderful evening with friends. Afterward, we sat down together to enjoy the delicious meal we created, which was a highlight of the experience. Located just south of Ponte alla Grazie, this class is a great way to learn authentic Italian cooking and enjoy a memorable time in Florence. Highly recommended for couples, families, or groups of friends!

The people are very kind and the food is very delicious and they made the cooking very fun to do. Great activity for both adults and kids.

It was fun. The food was delicious and the explanations were clear. I would still rather have someone else make my pizza.

Chef Ginevra was absolutely amazing! Our daughters loved being included and were able to easily follow the instructions! 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Florence! Pizza and gelato was phenomenal and making it were highlights for everyone!

5 stars, we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Alessia & Mary were fantastic. We learned alot. Ability to ask questions & have them addressed. The ladies do a great job getting everyone involved. Only wish we had more time to take more classes.

Elena, the instructor was amazing. She accommodated dietary restrictions of members in the class and was extremely generous in answering questions. After making the pizza and gelato it was enjoyable to sit at the table and taste the food while getting to know other class members.

Such a fun and intimate experience. Elena was great and used super fresh ingredients that were in season locally. We started with a small bite and wine. Made our own pizzas, (She also made a white pizza for us), orange honey gelato (cookie spoons too!) and pear sorbet. I couldn’t even finish the sorbet but it was so delicious. Every bite. We will definitely be recommending this to friends!

It was so much fun. G was amazing, funny and a great instructor. The kitchen was so clean and our food turned out amazing. We really enjoyed it.

Our family of 4 adults really enjoyed the pizza and gelato making class on September 30th. We learned a lot about how to make the dough and what it’s supposed to feel like. Both of our instructors were excellent. They explained things well and had a great sense of humour. After making the dough we moved into the kitchen area to find out how to make gelato and cantaloupe sorbetto. We then chose the toppings for our pizza and moved back to the prep room to get some dough and assemble our pizzas. It was good to learn how to press the dough into the pan and leave an edge for the crust. We added our sauce and toppings and moved to a dining room where we were offered our beverage of choice. They had soft drinks a well as wine, Prosecco and beer and bottles of water. The pizzas were delicious and we really enjoyed the flavour of the gelato and cantaloupe sorbetto. All in all we felt it was great value for our dollar and would highly recommend this class. Grazie mille!

We had a wonderful time! The experience was exceptional from start to finish! The staff was great at keeping everyone engaged and interested- all while getting the work done!

Highly recommend this experience. The staff was just awesome! The food was so good. We made pizza and gelato. The result was wonderful. We can now go home and make our Christmas pizzas as the Italian way. We'll have to give a stab at making gelato too. are so organized, offered delicious wine to go with the meal and the instructor was wonderful. She was so engaging. I believe her name was Alessia. Definitely a must do on your trip to Florence. You won't regret it.

We did this class while on a cruise through the Mediterranean. We were met by our chef Alessia at a farmers market to pick the vegetables for our pizza toppings and the fruit to make our gelato and sorbet. After a 5 minute walk to the studio we began making our dough for the pizzas. We then went into the kitchen where she had my grandsons helping with the gelato and sorbet making. Chef Alessia was great with the boys!! We then returned to the table to kneed the dough for our own pizzas and apply our toppings. While the pizza was baking we went to dining room for the gelato/sorbet which was amazing . The pizza was then brought in and was amazing !!! I HIGHLY RECOMEND taking this class if your in Florence !!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH CHEF ALESSIA!!

It was so much fun! They really get you involved in making all the dishes, yet they still taste really good at the end. This was my second time at the Florence Food Studio and the staff are all a really kind, caring, and supportive group of people. If you come to Florence, you must book with them!

Elena was fantastic! My family had an absolutely fabulous time making pizza and gelato at this location. Elena ensured that my boys (12 and 14) were engaged and active in the process and enjoyed themselves. Couldn’t recommend this more!

We had an amazing experience. It was one of the best and most memorable things we did on our trip. Our end result was delicious and the whole experience was so fun and a nice break from sightseeing. Our chef, Alma was so fun, funny, friendly, great with our kids, and super informative. We learned so much. We wanted to do it again the next day. I highly recommend this amazing cooking class.

My daughters (11 and 8) felt welcomed from the moment we were greeted at the door. Girls found information super interesting and instructions were easy to follow. Food was delicious. Great local restaurant recommendations as well. All staff were lovely.

We had a fantastic experience taking the pizza & gelato course. It was super-informative, fun and the pizza/gelato were delicious as well. We learned how to make the pizza dough and how to properly stretch it into our pizza crust. We also learned how to make gelato and peach sorbet. I highly recommend Florence Food Studio for a fun afternoon activity!

We had so much fun! We are able to make delicious food with easy instructions and tutorials! The chef was so good and kind. Definitely suggest going here for any of the classes.

The chef is a genius. He managed to teach us how to make some classic Italian food but still make our own creations delicious. The staff is helpful, polite, fluent in English and so much fun. We made pizza, gelato and sorbet. My children were engaged and interested as he explained the best way to make the dough and sauce in simple and understandable terms. He was an expert in every aspect of his kitchen and managed to take our clumsy efforts a fun and memorable experience. And most remarkable of all was that we ate our own food at the end. And it was amazing. It takes a true genius to take all the efforts of my entire family and make it something that we all love. Thank you Florence Food Studio for a highlight of our trip

The pizza and gelato class with Elena was wonderful! Everyone was so welcoming and it was kid-friendly for our 3 yr old and even 1.5yr old. Elena is so knowledgeable about what she does and you can really tell her passion for cooking through her teaching. Great food, great company, highly recommend this experience!

Our family of 12 (4 kids, 2 teens, 4 parents and 2 grandparents) had the BEST time! Elena was so fun and informative about everything. We especially loved the pizza and the gelato was delicious. We would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and FUN coooking class!

Everything about this experience was wonderful! We would encourage everyone to do this to really learn about the culture and food preparation. The chef is very personable and engaging. Meeting strangers and becoming friends instantly over food is perfect experience!

I’m not sure who rated this 1 star but I’d have to vehemently disagree. Elena was an amazing teacher who was super engaging and helpful throughout the entire experience. She was great at engaging both our teenage kids as well as younger children in the class. Couldn’t recommend this experience any higher if you are in Florence visiting make this a key stop.

We had a group of 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-9) and we all had such an amazing time. Elena was so wonderful with our group. It was the best pizza we’ve had and the kids loved being able to eat what they made. Highly recommend this class !!

This was so much fun!! We made linguine, ravioli, and tiramisu. Tiramisu was the STAR! Learned so much and can’t wait to make it all at home! Very much recommend.

My son and I landed the same day as the class and was a brilliant insight into Italian food. Beautiful Italian kitchen, friendly and interesting chef- (true Florentines) and an informative and fun cookery class, where we all cooked! We did the pizza and gelato class and tbh was disappointed to miss out on the pasta (only because I love pasta) but this was fabulous and the food was so good (not to mention the wine!) created a really lovely memory for us. Not to be forgotten. Do it, you won’t regret it.
