I spent 4 nights in Ruby Bea Florence and it was great. The room was comfortable and clean, staffs were very friendly and attentive, location was strategic, just walking distances to most of the attraction spot. If you would like to chill in the evening after a long walk, they do have bar with nice cocktails. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Florence.

Our room (502) at the Ruby Bea has no windows. Literally no windows. Unless you count a small skylight, which I guess is technically a window. My partner and I wanted a special experience in Florence, so we paid full price for this reservation two months in advance through the Chase Travel portal. We booked the "Lovely" room, which is the second tier up. The photos online look heavenly. We did not expect a grand view, but we never would have dreamed that for $383/night USD we would feel like we are staying in a closet in the attic. Rooms like this one should not be in the same category as what we booked. If we were looking for a quirky, discount experience, that would be very different. But instead, I feel like I just bought a fake Louis Vuitton wallet thinking it was real. I am a very seasoned traveler and am not fussy. I never leave bad reviews. But in this case, the product that was advertised by Ruby hotels and what they delivered is so vastly different, that I want to warn future travelers. I wish I had come across a review that warned me. The service staff here are great. This doesn't seem to be their fault. We chatted about my disappointment, and they said that the hotel is fully booked and there is nothing they can do. They said that the rooms on the fifth floor have no windows but that tomorrow they will try to find a different room. This is even more disappointing since we are coming from a fantastic stay at the Ruby Giulia in Rome. Same booking class, same price, and an absolute 5-star experience with a great room. This would be a 1-star review, but the room is clean and updated and the staff are very good. My guess is that the problem lies at the management and/or corporate level. The one plus is that I love the novel A Room With a View, and this is almost exactly how the novel starts! At least we'll have a good story in the future.
My wife and I stayed here for our 3 nights in Florence and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cool, clean, and very well appointed. The galley (a communal tea/coffee spot on the second, fourth, and fifth floors) was stocked with the best teas I've ever had in a hotel and a great dispenser for both boiling water (for teas and coffee) and chilled sparkling/still water (for drinking and water bottles). It's a little out of the way--we had to walk an extra 10 min from the main tourist zones--but that makes it a nice, quiet get away from the crowds *and* gives you access to great cafes and restaurants that are a little more local feeling while still being very foreigner-friendly. Out of three hotels in three different cities (Milan, Bellagio, and Florence), this was by far the best. That combined with the absolute gem of a city makes us a lock for coming back. You really can't go wrong with this hotel!
9.5/10 🌟Experience – Highly Recommend! First of all, the design of the hotel is super cozy and everything was spotlessly clean. The room was quite spacious. The only downside is that there isn't much space to unpack your clothes; if you are staying for several days and prefer having a proper closet to arrange your things, you might find it a bit lacking. Other than that, everything was fantastic! I loved the galley area where you can get complimentary hot water for tea, plus a vending machine setup. The breakfast was also very pleasant…super clean, well-organized, and with great options, including fresh vegetables, vegetarian choices, some meats, bread, and delicious cornetti. We had breakfast there almost every day; the menu stays exactly the same (only the pastries varied slightly), but they have great options like yogurt, plant-based milks, and best of all, unlimited coffee!☕️ The location is incredibly strategic. There is a tram station super close by, and the tram takes you directly to the airport, which was a wonderful surprise!! 🥰. It’s also an easy and pleasant walk straight to the Duomo and all the main sights perfect if you enjoy walking! Last but not least, the service was lovely. Everyone on the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
I recently visited this hotel for breakfast while my friend was staying there for a few days in Florence, and it was a lovely experience. Guests can invite visitors to join breakfast for €20, which I think is very reasonable. One morning, I joined her, and I really enjoyed it. The coffee was excellent (the three cups I had already covered almost half the price of the breakfast!). There was also a great selection of cold cuts and cheeses, so overall the price felt absolutely justified. The quality of the breakfast was impressive: there were pancakes with a variety of jams (I had mine with Nutella), fresh pastries (still warm, especially the croissants), and a good selection of fresh fruits (including my first fresh honey melon of the season). Everything felt fresh and well-prepared. The design of the hotel is very stylish, with a beautiful interior and a small terrace. My friend also mentioned that the rooms are equally stylish and well-designed. As for the service, despite the breakfast area being quite busy, the staff always found time to provide attentive and friendly service. Everyone was incredibly positive and welcoming. I especially remember Alex, who brought us a beautifully presented and delicious coffee, Anton, a tall blond guy who kept everyone smiling during breakfast, and Marko, the cheerful guy who welcomed us. I’m really looking forward not only to coming back for breakfast but also to staying at this hotel for a few nights in the future.
