I paid over $1,200 for a two night stay at the Junior Suite. This property is one of the worst Mr and Mrs Smith properties I have visited. They sell luxury for subpar stay. Lots of hidden fees. Would not stay again & nor recommend. See Detailed bullet review below —> Stairs of Room: - dont fit a size 8 shoe - Very slippery & no handrail - Not safe for elderly/children - Carrying suitcases upstairs is a project Rooms: - Bed is firm as a brick. Very cheap mattress. - No soundproof d/t holes in door. No lock. - door Wouldn’t stay shut & got stuck halfway - Lamps broken - Poorly decorated. Bathroom: - Only 1 for 4 people room. - small shower glass w/Inevitable wet floors - Shower floor slippery even when dry. Fall risk. - NO exhaust nor vent. Very hot. - Door has NO lock Shared areas: - one TV & not usable d/t room design - Chairs dirty, rusted & falling apart. Continental Breakfast: - Always same - eggs cheapest quality w/gray yolks - from 8am-10:30am. - cups withheld Amenities: - bicycles old & breaking apart - Did not give comforter for beds - Pool is pretty but small. - Overcharge of 60 euro per adult Staff: - absent before 8pm - No welcoming attention - Most staff didn’t even look you in the eye. Property Buildings: - worn down. Looks abandoned - Graffiti covering whole wall to river. Surrounding Area: - garbage & trash all over - Human feces on side walk. - Unsafe to walk at night.

Their photos make you feel that the rooms are on the second floor, but even superior rooms can be on the first floor, and actually many of the rooms are on the first floor, which are dark and cold. Check in ends at 8pm which is untypical but no one contacted us ahead. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I appreciate the service
We stayed at this hotel 1 night. Overall the stay was great. I thought it was a cute hotel. The structure where breakfast is served was really pretty and we were pleased with the options. The room was overall nice and had large windows. The only thing is that it could use minor touch ups from wear/ tear in the bathroom and bedroom area. The staff was top notch. Super nice and helpful. I would stay here again.
Great little spot in Florence! Stayed there for two days and the easy access to the tram was really convenient. Also had a local Pam shop, nice room, super nice employees and a relaxing breakfast area. Would for sure go back there if going to Florence again! Only small criticism is that I wished the bed was one large instead of two singles placed together, and the warm water in the shower took a bit to warm up (got better the second day, so might just be since it is an off-season). These are minor details though and does not affect my scoring.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riva Lofts. Although the hotel is located away from the Florence old city center, we were near a tram stop and a short 10-15 minute ride into the old city (or a 30-40 minute walk). This makes Riva Lofts a convenient stay from the hustle and bustle of the old city center. Additionally, Riva Lofts feels like a truly boutique experience, which makes it uniquely different than staying at a normal business hotel like a Mariott, Hyatt or Hilton. The decor throughout the hotel grounds and the suite itself are tastefully done. You truly feel like you are staying at an upscale European chateau. Not to mention, the service and the people there are absolutely wonderful. Lastly, even though I didn't get a chance to try out the restaurant on site, but I've heard wonderful things about the food and service there.
