Took 37 mins to be attended after arriving to check in at the time they asked us to. Apparently due to fault with another room, but still extremely long amount of time to wait. Lots of maintenance issues like door to bedroom jammed on floor. Rooms are appointed to a high standard although the design of many aspects is naive - for example, to make coffee you have to find and run a power extension through mid air. Rooms were cold - it was the end of October and thermostat showed rooms were 18.7C and setting heating to 21 and heating mode made no difference.

Recently stayed at Ricasoli Firenze Luxury apartments and must say first impressions were very good. We stayed in Pitti which was well appointed and spacious. However there were a few small issues and another slightly bigger issue which sort of took the gloss off the luxury tag. The minor issues where maintenance and housekeeping problems. When we arrived we were shown the jacuzzi but found it could not be used because there was no plug to keep the water in. Also there are two sliding bathroom doors but the inner handle on the right hand door is loose and kept falling off. Finally the kitchen sink tap is very loose. All of these are small issues and I left a note so I assume they will be sorted out. We were only in Florence for 3 nights so it hardly seemed worth getting things fixed while we were there. The bigger issue was that the air con ran constantly during our stay but did not cool the apartment at all. I think the owners are aware of this because there was emphasis on how it had been set for our comfort. It was too warm for us and as I say it would not cool. We had to open a window and as a result have been eaten alive by mosquitoes. Apart from the air con the other issues are minor and easily fixed but if you are advertising a luxury apartment they should not occur. As for the air con all I can say I wouldn’t like to be staying in the Summer. All in all I would say this is a nice place to stay but needs a few tweaks to live up to its luxury tag.
Excellent location! The room is very modern! luxurious! Eliza is so kind! Be helpful! Highly recommend this apartment! When you are tired from walking, you can take a shower! Big bathtub! I love it so much i will come back ❤️
I had a wonderful stay at this residence. I would return there anytime. It's a beautiful space. Right in the middle of town. Very cleaned and designed homes. The team there were warm, hospitable and helpful. They let me check in earlier and kindly with an upgraded room. It was obvious that they would do what they can to make sure that the guests and well taken care of. Lovely.
My family and I recently spent 6 nights at the Domux Home – Ricasoli. Overall there were a couple of positives to the experience but also significant improvement areas both for the apartment as well as the management of the property. As a result I would not recommend you to stay at any of their properties. I will start my review with the positives. The location of the apartment was excellent. The apartment is located less than two blocks from the Duomo and allows you to walk to any part of the city within minutes. This was great having two kids as it gave us the opportunity to go back and freshen up if needed in the middle of the day. In addition the WIFI was very good. With all 4 of use using the network at the same time the speed was excellent. Unfortunately, those were all of the positives. The overall condition of the apartment although fairly new was not well maintained and not practical. I have included pictures of sockets that came out of the wall, half the light bulbs in the bathroom and bedroom were out and there were numerous stains on the ceiling from water leaks as well as mold. In addition the sofa bed in the second room was paper thin and the shower was barely usable for a child. That said the biggest issue we had was with the air conditioning and management. It turns out the air conditioning for the entire building broke down 4 days prior to our arrival. During this time the temperature in Italy was 100F (38F) each day. So you can imagine how warm the building was. The management did not inform us of this until we arrived. In addition they informed us that the air conditioning was expected to be fixed the following day. At this point we were left with no options to find another hotel. To help ease the situation they put us in a slightly larger apartment and gave us a couple of fans. That said the bedroom remained 95 degrees throughout that day a night. So you can imagine how pleasant it was to sleep. The next day they still were not able to fix the air conditioning until late that night and only partially. As a result we had another night where the temperature was 90 degrees throughout the apartment. As we discussed our frustration with the management they informed us they understood as they had to work in the building for 9 hours. I believe there is a significant difference between having to pay for a supposed air conditioned apartment while on vacation versus someone working in a building getting paid. The lack of customer service was appalling. Finally on Day 3 they fixed the air conditioning. That said the coolest we were able to get our bedroom was 78 degrees. To help compensate us for our inconvenience the management left a note and an 8 Euro bottle of table wine. For the price we paid having to spend 2+ days sleeping in miserable heat I think there service greatly missed the mark. As a result I would not recommend staying at the Domux Home or any of their properties. Update: In posting this review management claimed that we received a credit for one night which was not the case.
