My wife and I stayed here last July. July is the wrong month to visit. It’s way too hot for an enjoyable vacation. The hotel itself is wonderful. It has an old charm reminiscent of an aristocratic life from the past. The location is perfect. Walking distance from anything worth seeing in Florence. We really like all the employees. Luca will give excellent restaurant recommendations. I’m writing this today because we returned and I realized I forgot to leave a review last year.

Palazzo Vecchietti, built in 1578, was once the home of a prominent Florentine family. Bernardo Vecchietti, who commissioned the work, was a senator and patron of the arts. The Palazzo is now a beautiful small hotel, just one block off the Piazza della Repubblica. It’s been absolutely lovely staying here. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff is simply OUTSTANDING. Great breakfast (served in your room) and a wonderful bar/bartender.
