It was the most unusual hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff working at the bar were extremely rude. The room didn’t even have basic amenities—not even complimentary water or slippers. When we asked the bar staff for a glass, they refused and argued with us. They even tried to charge us €0.10 for a plastic cup. This is a business that doesn’t seem to understand what it means to be a hotel. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. After the hotel’s response At first, I thought the problem was caused by the staff. However, after reading your response, I realized that the real issue is your management approach and the way you treat your customers. Instead of being concerned that a guest had such an experience at your hotel, you seem more concerned that your customer wrote about these problems, which says a lot. First of all, the reason we took the glasses was because there was nothing provided in the room. The reason we took them from the bar area was because there was no staff present. You also know very well that nothing was broken. It is unacceptable that you make false accusations against your guests. As for your second false claim, I asked for paper cups several times and was told each time that there were none available. At no point did you offer me a free paper cup. Instead, you tried to give me an extremely small plastic cup that was not even suitable for hot water. It was literally a single-sip cup, ridiculously small. I have never encountered such an unnecessarily stingy approach in a hotel before. Thirdly, none of the facilities you claim were available in the rooms actually existed. We came to the hotel as a group of 50 people, and everyone complained to the tour company about this hotel choice. Anyone reading previous reviews can also see that many guests have reported the same issues. There was not even free water in the room, and we could not even get a simple paper cup from reception. Yet you talk about free shaving kits, which is honestly laughable. And needless to say, the breakfast was also very poor, and we left the table without being properly fed. Your response actually confirms my review. Instead of acknowledging problems and trying to fix them, you choose to deny everything and blame your customers. It is truly disappointing that you represent your country in this way. Fortunately, not every hotel and not every Italian is like you.

Extremely disappointing experience. Hotel Nil was by far one of the worst 4-star hotels I have ever stayed in. The breakfast service felt discriminatory and unacceptable, and management should address this issue immediately. No guest should feel treated differently during breakfast. The hotel also offers no room service after 10 PM, which is shocking for a property claiming to be a 4-star hotel. Basic guest needs are simply ignored. The overall service level, hospitality, and attention to guests are far below international standards. I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has earned a 4-star rating. The experience was frustrating, disappointing, and completely failed to meet expectations. I would not recommend Hotel Nil to anyone and would strongly advise travelers to consider other options.
Very poor Wi-Fi . which is surprising for what is a conference centre. A reasonable walk from nearest public transport but fine if you want a taxi to the airport. EDIT: Re the wi-fi, I filled in the in form that asks about anything needing maintenance. I also put on the form that the plug in the bath doesn't drain correctly. If the hotel feel they haven't heard from me about the issue they need to look into their own reporting processes.
We had a great stay at Nil Hotel in Florence. Our top priority was secure parking, and the hotel delivered perfectly with a spacious, protected parking area inside the hotel yard, which gave us real peace of mind throughout our stay. The room was basic but clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with any questions we had. Had also easy public transport access. With both tram and bus connections nearby, getting into Florence’s historic center was incredibly easy. The tram ride takes only about 15–20 minutes, allowing us to enjoy all the city's beautiful sights, restaurants, and attractions without the stress of driving through the center or searching for parking. For anyone visiting Florence by car, this hotel strikes a great balance between convenience, comfort, and accessibility.
Ok hotel to stay with larger group. Rooms were clean and spacious but outdated. Meeting rooms were ok. Location is near airport but away from city. Food was average, go outside or to the city center if you look for something. Also took very long before someone was at the bar when you wanted to order something.
