Stay here only if you’re looking for a 2-star motel, not a 4-star hotel. I’ve stayed in 4 4-star hotels across Italy and more than 10 across Europe, and this is easily 100 times worse than the worst 4-star hotel I’ve ever experienced. The room was disgusting! worn-out furniture, stains on the curtains, and even hair in the toilet. Completely unacceptable. We were not allowed to use the air conditioning even though it’s clearly advertised everywhere. The room was unbearably hot. They also claim to have parking, but conveniently fail to mention that it’s just a handful of spaces. if they’re full, you’re on your own. This place is extremely misleading and not worth the price at all.

Extremely noisy. Sounded like they were doing renovation all night long. Lots of sound coming from the street. No AC in early April but it was hot. Could not turn on the AC or take it off the high setting. It is easy to get to the airport. Expensive.
The staff here were very helpful. We needed a taxi and they scheduled it for us. We had a minor issue in the room and they fixed it right away. This is a good spot if you need a place that is close to the airport. It is also close to the tram which will take you directly to the Santa Maria Novella train station.
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan in Florence for a couple of nights during our honeymoon in the October 2025. When we entered the room, it smelled bad, and the A/C was quite loud. We asked them if we could change rooms and they declined. They instead brought us a fan. The bathroom offered limited privacy - it was separated from the room only by a glass door that was transparent - meaning you could see and smell everything.... The room itself was also smaller than we expected. We mentioned that it was our honeymoon at the time of booking, and while it's not expected, an acknowledgment would have been a nice touch. We paid for breakfast on one of the days, but did not feel it was worth the additional cost. The hotel is also about a 7-10 minute walk from the nearest tram stop to Santa Maria Novella, which may be a consideration for some travelers with heavy luggage. The staff were pleasant and helpful when answering questions. However, overall, the hotel did not meet our needs, and we would not choose to stay here again.
Our stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel was very pleasant. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel very welcome. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The breakfast was varied and of good quality, with options to suit all tastes. The hotel is well-connected to public transport, making it easy to get around Florence, and offers excellent value for money. It's a 3-minute walk, giving you plenty of time to have breakfast and then head to the city center. They have parking, but I recommend enjoying the city on foot. It's an excellent choice for those seeking comfort, good service, and a peaceful stay. We highly recommend it and would return without hesitation!!!
